Discussion of the 5 episode of the 2 season Discuss this episode
25I really liked the dynamic between Louis and Daniel in this episode. It's nice to see that after so many years since the first interview, they were finally able to understand each other's motivation at that moment and admit their mistakes. Now it's interesting to find out how, after such a union, that phrase from the teasers of u fear Armand will fire. u should fear the other one."
A good episode that heightens the atmosphere before catharsis. The events in it do not greatly affect the plot directly, but their influence on the dynamics of relations between the characters is enormous, the so-called calm before the storm.
I don't want to victimize Louis, but I will condemn him. If your man is boring, sad, forces you to play role-playing games, has problems controlling anger and has fucked you up for 23 years so that you are ready to go out in the sun, why are you hanging around with him all this time? What do you want from him? And you yourself fell for his whining about poor Arun, you see his injuries and were ready to protect him as much as possible, so why the hell are you poking his nose there in a fit of quarrel? The experience of violence that a human/vampire has experienced and the inability to leave this burden behind is not his fault at any time (
I can 't even believe that the plot keeps you in suspense . Very good acting 👍🏻👍🏻
Ps / Special thanks to the first comment under this series, hats off.
I waited for the conflict with Claudia to develop, but instead I finally got a full-fledged illustration of Louis and Armand's relationship.
I've only read the first two books. The image of Armand in my head is generally only from the musical, and it is completely different. I still feel a sharp dissonance about this.
And now everything is falling into place. It is clear why these two are together and their problems are understandable. At the same time, it is sad, and there is a share of sympathy for everyone and a share of anger at what he does exactly that. Very good screenwriting and acting work.
I wonder if Lestat's line will be developed in the days of San Francisco.
I was especially struck by Armand in this series, such deep emotions and feelings, on the one hand he is really frightening, on the other hand I felt so sorry for him. The cast is on top!
Interestingly, by the 70s, Lestat loves him, does not hate him for trying to kill and so on, so they have already decided the moments between themselves? Was there a meeting?
Maybe Lestat is taking revenge by sending recordings to a journalist so that Louis remembers him when working with him and realizes that Armand is actually holding him hostage in love?
In general, of course, in the 10-50s Louis did not suffer from suicidality and insanity, in the present he seems to be struggling with it all the time, and even since the 70s. Because of Armand? Claudia's loss?
