Discussion of the 4 episode of the 2 season Discuss this episode
35In "picked another one over me" Claudia feels so much pain and despair, the way just one phrase reflects the betrayal she experienced from Louis (again). How their bickering only confirms more strongly why the rules of the coven exist, and that no matter how much Louis loves her, he will never be able to fully understand her and change what he and Lestat doomed her to.
Louis's transformation is perfectly shown and how he and Armand came to the distribution of positions of power in their relationship, which they adhere to until now, despite Armand's obvious advantage in strength.
The branch with Daniel is very intriguing, I can't wait to find out which fan theories turned out to be true and what's behind it all.
Well, the cherry on the cake is Sam Reed. I can't help but mention his work, how well he feels, how other people see Lestat. He has already played at least 3 different versions this season and was good at each of them!
And most of all, I'm in awe of Armand and Louis' quarrel, because for three episodes in a row, watching them cooing was just too much. Let's get passionate already!
Passions are heating up with each episode, wow, I really want to see Lestat in modern times as soon as possible :)
At the same time, it resembles both Malen's film and the book The Reader.
There is a vibe of more than friendship between her and Claudia, and the actress herself confirms at the end that Claudia is looking for a companion.
It is sad that only Claudia was able to confide in someone, so immediately she is forbidden and threatened. And also in the face of the vampire who stole her brother.
Louis's transformation is magnificent.
But I'm still waiting for the canonical Louis-Lestat pair and it was very sad to watch Lestat's image dissolve, but I'm glad that Louis is getting stronger.
"Yes, the master" from Armand and I'm squealing like a little girl 💕🔥
I'm really looking forward to the denouement of what happened in the 70s between Daniel and Armand.
Did I understand from the excerpts that Daniel killed someone? Or a man with a bag on his head? Although, according to the conversations, it was a girl..I didn't fully understand what was going on here, but it's very interesting!!! It's a pity that you have to wait a whole week, but at least there is something to do..
And Arun in translation means "the reddish-red color of the sunset" - imho, in meaning it fits very well both on the bookish Armand and on Marius's love for red)
But I also thought that it was strange for an Indian family to hand over a boy to a brothel, if there was a girl, then there are no questions. The girls were deliberately spoiled, and the son was always welcome.. strange.. Or maybe I misunderstood something
(прикол ещё в том, что Луи об этом знал - ведь этот Лестат из его подсознания....... 😭)
in general, I read a very interesting interview with Jacob, where he says that in this series these scenes with Lestat are the good and quiet side of their relationship, which he did not tell Daniel about in season 1. so they show Lestat as such a romantic :(

I'm still shocked at how Lestat can be a hurricane and an abuser, but at the same time ask to embroider the initials of a loved one on the lining of a jacket, like some Turgenev young lady)))))
, one of the best shows that is on TV
right now, it only gets better from episode to episode
the way the authors write it, how Levan Akin shot this series!!!
I'm just speechlessly delighted!
Another great episode!
And how much I like Lestat, well, my God, it's so unfair to force me to review the first season in order to catch his romance between the lines Claudia, how sorry I am for her
In the first season, Claudia aroused more sympathy in me, I don't know the fact is that the actress of the second season has more feminine forms, or that my focus of attention has completely switched to Armand and I can't sympathize with her as a whole, although some moments still cling, but the effect is still not the same when you know what According to the books, she was much younger.
It's sad to note this, when otherwise I like the second season much more than the first.
- I dream that my mortal mother sings it... while she beats me with a crucifix.
Хохотала с шутки про Мэри Селест (корабль именно так назывался, а не "Мари"): "The Marie Celeste, because her talent disappeared without a trace years ago."😅
Сцены с Лестатом — отвал башки. Сэм просто невероятно хорош.
But I think that the reason is unimportant, these photos in the plot are only to bring the characters into conflict, and Daniel to give new Vietnamese flashbacks with swearing vampires X)
