s02e04 — I Want You More Than Anything in the World

A very emotional episode. Armand's backstory is one of the most tragic and violent things in the books and the series confidently follows the canons. Once again, I am convinced that the aged up of the character was an excellent solution. Thanks to the creators for taking pity on us and not demonstrating all these horrors, but the acting of Assad Zaman here is beyond praise, the amount of pain he put into every word is simply incredible. I hope that after this episode, Armand's image will finally develop enough so that people who are not familiar with the original source can also fully experience the depth and tragedy of this wonderful character.
In "picked another one over me" Claudia feels so much pain and despair, the way just one phrase reflects the betrayal she experienced from Louis (again). How their bickering only confirms more strongly why the rules of the coven exist, and that no matter how much Louis loves her, he will never be able to fully understand her and change what he and Lestat doomed her to.
Louis's transformation is perfectly shown and how he and Armand came to the distribution of positions of power in their relationship, which they adhere to until now, despite Armand's obvious advantage in strength.
The branch with Daniel is very intriguing, I can't wait to find out which fan theories turned out to be true and what's behind it all.
Well, the cherry on the cake is Sam Reed. I can't help but mention his work, how well he feels, how other people see Lestat. He has already played at least 3 different versions this season and was good at each of them!

I am delighted with how comprehensively Arman reveals himself in this series: both as a creative person, and as an abuser, and as a manager, and as a traumatized young man (Assad Zaman said very coolly in one of his previous interviews that Lestat was not the first to break Arman, but only a piece in a series of what it broke him over and over again), and as an insecure lover (how do I feel this showdown after sex? Who are we to each other?"), and as a husband in a long-term relationship where everything is not so rosy.
And most of all, I'm in awe of Armand and Louis' quarrel, because for three episodes in a row, watching them cooing was just too much. Let's get passionate already!

I'll tell you about how Daniel's scenes are intriguing and frightening when he remembers what happened in the 70s between him and Armand. I hope that the book canon will be kept here too! Assad is a wonderful actor ❤
Passions are heating up with each episode, wow, I really want to see Lestat in modern times as soon as possible :)

I really liked the character of the tailor girl.
At the same time, it resembles both Malen's film and the book The Reader.
There is a vibe of more than friendship between her and Claudia, and the actress herself confirms at the end that Claudia is looking for a companion.
It is sad that only Claudia was able to confide in someone, so immediately she is forbidden and threatened. And also in the face of the vampire who stole her brother.

Louis's transformation is magnificent.
But I'm still waiting for the canonical Louis-Lestat pair and it was very sad to watch Lestat's image dissolve, but I'm glad that Louis is getting stronger.

Did I understand from the excerpts that Daniel killed someone? Or a man with a bag on his head? Although, according to the conversations, it was a girl..I didn't fully understand what was going on here, but it's very interesting!!! It's a pity that you have to wait a whole week, but at least there is something to do..

I like Santiago and Claudia's relationship with her new friend. Everything else is completely by the way ... either I had high expectations after a great first season, or the main characters are marking time here and they have no development.
