Discussion of the 6 episode of the 2 season Discuss this episode
56To be honest, there are no words, only emotions. First of all, I would like to mention the stars of this episode - Madeleine and Claudia. They are absolutely amazing. The way their story was beautifully and competently revealed deserves applause. Their chemistry is great, it's a pity that they didn't give us more (and, knowing how it will end, they will hardly have time to give it).
Also, special thanks for the way the screenwriters worked out the dynamics between Claudia and Armand, because in fact they have a lot in common, but the books did not focus on this, although Claudia's gratitude is worth it that Armand never treated her like a child. And it is this aspect that makes the episode finale and all subsequent events even more painful.
As the devil's advocate in this app, I am here again to defend my cancelled wife. If you remember how last season ended, then obvious parallels emerge: Louis loved very much, but because of a bad attitude betrayed Lestat > due to injury, after that he began to behave in many ways like Lestat > found Armand > manipulated his need for love, as Lestat did with Louis himself, despite all Armand's love for him, also turned out to be loyal. Does this make Armand a bad person? Obviously yes. Is he worse than the other vampires? No, he's literally living the Louis arch from the first season. He's just like Louis, just like all of them.
An interesting storyline with Talamaska (and Rashid), I hope that this will eventually lead somewhere, because they recently announced a spin-off about the order, and it will be very disappointing if this whole thread is nothing more than an attempt to lure the audience into another project to avoid the fate of the Mayfair witches.
I wish you all the strength to survive the next two episodes, we are at the finish line.
offtop: the new application policy on comments is very inconvenient
I was just thinking of starting to watch it, because I have to. But maybe it's not necessary then?
I can't quite understand why this is so? Rather, I was thinking that Louis was the victim here. That he stays with the vampire who betrayed him, because of whom his loved ones died (I'll assume that Claudia and Madeleine are still dead), and we don't know yet how Louis betrayed him, maybe he should have been killed, but he chooses to stay with Armand after everything that happened there..
Oh, this Krpman triangle 🙈
I don't remember, by the way, in the books that vampires can't stand being alone. Although this is logical, it is difficult to stay alone for hundreds of years, even for the fiercest introvert 🙃
You're saying that Lestat forgave Louis's betrayal and returned to him-I want to clarify which one? Are you talking about Lestat's murder? I don't remember the books very well, but it seemed to me that they weren't there much together after, even though there was some kind of reunion
Saving Daniel's life - Louis in the image of the master immediately says that this is not a request. And obviously, a sense of guilt that Armand will never atone for forces him to obey.
This means that Louis is manipulating too. What a beautiful and sick relationship, omg.
How naive do you think it is to hope that the screenwriters decided to change the book and give Claudia and Madeleine a happy ending? How is it possible that they managed to get out alive and escape, and that they lived a happy life together all these years while others thought they were dead? I understand that it's probably stupid and pointless, that it's better to prepare yourself for the worst in advance and accept it in advance, but I really want a good end for them. They deserve to be happy.
Madeleine had such a calm, beautiful treatment, which probably did not exist and will not exist for more than one vampire from this story (even those who, like Madeleine, wanted to become a vampire on their own, knew everything about vampires in advance and prepared for it, eventually were converted under any circumstancesin tragic circumstances, when they were in pain and very scared). Such a calm beginning and such an eerie contrast to the kind of end that most likely awaits her. The real tragedy 💔
When Armand, who was exposed in the last episode and has already demonstrated all his worst features more than once or twice, apologizes, justifies himself, plays the injured virtue and the role of the victim, making big eyes... I just unconditionally believe and consider these few minutes that everything is really a mistake, that Armand is not like that and did not want to be. My God, Assad, how?!
I don't know if the audience noticed, but Santiago's monologue about the light is a 1:1 book monologue by Louis after his and Claudia's murder of Lestat.
Claudia and Madeleine are just a fairy tale. Everything is so beautiful, correct and with references to everything in the world that just lie down and die from the realization that this will no longer happen ((((( The moment of Claudia's massacre with the people who attacked Madeleine is a direct reference to what Lestat did in the first season. Her father's real daughter, Claudia de Lioncourt.
Claudia's unwillingness to transfer Lestat's blood as an attempt to get out of an endless cycle of injuries and, of course, the failure of this attempt (((
I'm trying my best to forget that Raglan James mentioned a body swap, we're not ready for this story!!!!!111
And all of us with admiration and admiration for Assad Zaman are just a byproduct of X)
In general, I would like to say thank you for the detailed comments to everyone who writes them. I didn't read the book myself, or only the first thousand years ago, and my soul just rejoices when the film adaptation comes to the fandom.
In this episode, I felt a little scared for Daniel - this is a character whose fate is completely in the hands of the creators of the series. Take a nap.
And I also think that too few compliments have been paid to Santiago. With his visually strange, caricatured image and his repulsive actions. He's still kind of disgustingly perfect. It is absolutely impossible to take your eyes off him))
First, Madeleine and Claudia....Although this is the end for them, they have lived a short happy life together. I don't think the ending will be changed in any way. Louis and Armand it was in this series that I got into Armand, what kind of maniculators he is, although both are good, and how they lived together for so long before us.time in the end is just a disappointment....Louis said he was given a choice, and he made it.... The choice is who to save and who to kill? But in the end, everyone was captured. Yes, I remember from the book what will happen next, but I do not know what kind of choice was mentioned.
Santiago....Unbearably beautiful!!!Especially the monologue on stage, when it is both there and here, and in the wake. But he will definitely compete in my heart with Lestat's divine appearance. What a charisma, take me away! It's just unbelievable.
(P.S. yesterday I Googled season 3, alas, I did not see an extension for season 3 even in English-language articles. Although the creators /directors of June 14 said that you should not worry about season 3, that there is little doubt that they will not be extended). Well, we're waiting.
And once again, I'm looking forward to episode 7. The rupture of my heart is ensured
Well, Lestat's appearance at the end is just gorgeous!!
Lestat's return is very intriguing and hot. Sam is simply amazing, the sight of him makes one's heart stop 💔
