@MargoZaitseva: there is a feeling that they not only took children out of age, but retconned them. In the original, Brian was 5, and Dexter was barely 3 at the time of Laura's dismemberment. Adding about 2 years to this age by mistake or on purpose - I'm not happy in any case :D
@Da6kaz: Yes, actually, if I'm not mistaken, in the original series Dexter is 6-7 years older than Deb, if not more, but here Deb has not even been born yet, i.e. Dex should be just 6 years old, if you count from the source. But at the same time, in the original, he was a baby when he found himself in the van. Apparently they didn't calculate the dates well, or they're rewriting the canons.;
@MargoZaitseva: I'm also outraged, because the main reason why Harry only took Dexter (that's what they said in orig!) "Dexter was too young and the doctors said it was unlikely to affect his psyche, unlike Brian" Dexter is already quite an adult here....
@MargoZaitseva: I agree, the children are just adults. It's a direct internal conflict when viewing. It seems to be well shot, it's interesting to watch the characters, but the children are almost schoolchildren.
@porco: It doesn't look like it at all, it's already double-decked here. Dexter just has a boat. The story of the appearance, by the way, is in Early Cuts.
@Da6kaz: Yes, I checked, and it really wasn't her. I've been watching it for a long time, probably confused it with others, there have been a lot of them over such a bunch of seasons.
The ending is in the spirit - karma will catch up with you anyway
the 4th episode.. and the information about the main villain of the 1% season is that he kidnapped/ killed a child and may be connected with the mafia ...What do you need!?
@lady_kana: It seems to me that he will be connected with the bandit that Harry is waiting to be tried. I don't remember the name, really. Such an attack on one judge, then there will be a threat to the judge who is conducting that process, as a result, the bandit will be released. And, apparently, Dexter will take care of him in the season finale.
@Nog: This is a detective story, almost all the main characters are present, and she is too bright to be just for extras. Hopefully, the Gellar staff will still play their part.
Why couldn't this killer be tied up right away, and then prepare the room for his business? You know he's a pro, but you're an idiot and you didn't protect yourself.
@kira_kirchenko: especially before that, he tied up the other two victims properly)). And why not knock him out with a second guitar, and not stupidly smash it on the floor
@Olegori93: he tied them up naked , that is , clothed , and when they passed out , they were also not tied up , but he just started to undress and he woke up ...No luck
@kira_kirchenko: because this is only his third murder, he shouldn't be a pro, they should just show his mistakes, how he learned to perfect his future business.
Respect the prequel. We are waiting for the 10th season "Resurrection ". Because of the caste Peter Dinklange and Gillian Anderson (Tyrion Lannister and Dana Scully). Wangyu was cast as a serial killer, the antagonist for the season.
@g1557380: Season 9 of New Blood was interesting, but the antagonist wasn't bad, but the last episodes were certainly disappointing. Dexter has always been a positive character, punishing and killing mostly murderers and psychopaths. Sheriff Angela should have handled things with Dex more carefully. I really didn't like the fact that Dex broke the code. The end of the season is really one big disappointment. I hope season 10 will be a work on mistakes. Sarah Michelle Gellar is super, maybe they can fit in Resurrection, because anything is possible. It would be nice to add two or three more characters from previous seasons to the new season.
@g1557380: in season 9, of course, there are moments of such randomness. A couple of pianos in the bushes, while the main antagonist from nothing began to dig in the ashes, and Angela, who for a hundred years could not figure out what was wrong with her friend, suddenly became a cool detective and figured out Dexter in the end. But of course he had a very cool start.
@g1557380: He had already violated the Code. He killed Hannah's father, he wanted to kill LaGuerta, plus the impulsive murders after Rita's death and the deaths of Trinity's wife and daughter.
interestingly, of course, it turns out that Brian was not "born in the blood" like Dexter, but even before Laura's death he showed signs of psychopathy... well, plus really very adult children, according to the logic of the original series, Harry will have to leave them both in the container ahahaha
@schizosarah: I thought about it too, here the brothers are shown as the angel Dexter, who wanted to save a lizard, and the brother is a scoundrel who tears off the tails of lizards. I don't remember if Brian was shown as a problem child in the original, but they tied him up as a psycho. problems with dismemberment
@JulyaN: For as long as I can remember, Brian's childhood was hardly shown. I only remember how they played hide-and-seek with my mother on the street, sat in a room and were in a container.
The actors are well-chosen, but the logic in many places leaves much to be desired. Why did they even wait for that last season of Dexter and now? It ended well.
Somehow I don't like that we're being hinted that Brian was initially deviant. I liked the main series' position on this issue more. And then a very clumsy picture emerges: a sadistic little Brian and a pitiful little angel, Dexter.
@blacki3: In the orig. In the series, people were outraged that Harry had just taken Dex out of the container. Maybe they decided to let me down here, that Brian wasn't worth it. It's still kind of weird, though.
@Gremory: The original version explains why Harry only took Dexter, and Brian was immediately diagnosed with mental disorders (he was too old at the time of the tragedy).
@blacki3: Their father was in prison, their mother was a drug dealer—Brian was older and could have seen a lot, and the violence could have come from there. They say that children show this behavior when they themselves are offended by someone to whom they cannot fight back. Perhaps on the basis of all this + then the mother was killed in front of my eyes, here's Brian and tu-tu. And Dexter, as a younger child, still didn't understand a lot of things — apparently, they draw such a line.
why is the line about Debra and her rise to the top of the school SO NOT INTERESTING TO WATCH? I understand that it's possible that this is how her line is shown, like a joke, but damn.... how does this reveal the character? She's been the same since the first episode! Dex changes at least a little bit, remembering his fuck in the precinct with eco food, but he realized that he had to adjust and what about Deb...
@tanyamistery: I think we're getting to her tipping point, shouldn't she want to be a cop too?
If they bring all the lines together beautifully by the end of the season, as it usually was in Dexter, then an interesting picture already emerges: there is a mafia, drugs, a witness, a mafia killer, a new acquaintance of Deb, who is the son of a mobster (perhaps), pressure on the judge in the case (the murder of a boy, as intimidation), and so on and so forth. In fact, they may have several trump cards up their sleeve, and as a result, we MAY see a steep denouement where all the threads will intertwine into a single pattern.
I like it! Fantasizing is not forbidden , after all .
I go down into the branch after a while, and seeing how jealous she is of her father for Dex, trying her best to attract attention to herself with side actions, I take back the words)
The ending is the best part of the series, Harry's flashbacks somehow brightened up the narrative of the series. It was a bit boring ☹️ I'm still getting high from the screensaver
@Demonakor: о чем вы вообще? Уже во втором сезоне было несколько убийств что противоречат "кодексу". Помнится там даже самое первое убийство в сезоне было таким.
Ahhh!! It was MAGNIFICENT!! Thank you so much for not showing that the young green Dexter knocked out a professional killer without problems and mistakes! Dexter's blunder is perfect — the victim was able to fight back and ran away, but she was hit by a car! Such sincere emotions "FUCK" on the character's face! 😁😁 Like when Dex didn't calculate a tranquilizer for Baby Chico (? I don't remember the name, there was such a bully with a machete) — it causes the same emotions!! ))))) I really like it)
I understand that Deb's story leads to drug addiction + a new "dear" boyfriend is clearly dealing drugs. The thought came to me, what if her twitchiness in the future is a little related to the use in adolescence? If you've seen drug addicts, they're pretty dry and with the same jerky movements. Although Deb, of course, is quite impulsive in her own right.
A LUXURIOUS series! I really like it, "hands off Tanya's melons"! Even Masuka is good 😂😂😂
With each episode, I get more involved and I get more and more interested! The main thing was to endure the first 2 episodes, as it almost always does. 🤙🏼
I really like the line of relationships within the Morgan family. The origins of the brotherly-sisterly bond presented in the original series are revealed.
I can't understand why such a famous actress as Sarah Michelle Gellar was invited to play such a meager role for literally 60 seconds in each episode. Or wait for some kind of trick from her.…
@imdepressed: Yes, SMG is clearly the main maniac through and through this season. Dexter is the only one who knows what he's going to do with her next summer. I've had these thoughts since the very first episode.
@Zombieset: Well, they're just stupidly spoiling themselves. Plus, she was never mentioned in the orginal department, I think at least when it turned out in the second season that Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher, someone would have remembered, like, Kapets is the second maniac in the department. In short, I wonder where she will end up.
@imdepressed: Well, Dexter had to flaunt Doakes. And here it is quite possible to make sure that no one even guessed or knew, except Dex himself, about her true identity. But we've already seen how people disappear suddenly in the series. The fact that no one mentioned her in the original raises all sorts of thoughts.
@imdepressed: What are you talking about anyway) SMG is known for essentially playing Buffy. The series closed already in the early noughties. She's far from being a famous actress, and she's had a pretty low-profile career.
I understand that these are all serial conventions, BUT why does Dex go to the homes of potential victims and touch everything there with his bare hands??
I love those awkward Dexter moments. He's standing on the beach, everyone's looking at him, and he's like, "What should I do?" This behavior is funny in the simplest situations where you need to interact with other people)) I fell in love with adult Dexter for that.
The character is disgusting, doesn't look like Dexter, has a stupid look, an idiot smile, and is a rare idiot himself... just like the authors. It took so long to learn how to knock out a client with one injection, of course... With such mental abilities, he should have been caught 2 hours after the first murder.
I finally realized what I hate about Dexter. His grin! And she's just smug. The original Dexter's was rather strained and awkward, because he had trouble expressing human emotions at random. And this one is always smiling. I just want to slap him on the back of the head, saying stop grinning like a moron.
@Eowyn: there is such a thing. moreover, in the rest of the facial expressions, the actor is trying to portray Michael C. Hall quite well. Well, like he raises his eyebrows in the same way, shakes his head. But there are really too many smiles.
There are three things that really upset me so far: 1. The age of the children, but everyone has already said that. 2. The frequency of murders. He didn't kill as often after that. And there's a murder every few days. So by the end of the series, he was halfway to Miami. 3. He has no clear evidence. They're indirect, especially with this killer, but Harry gives the go-ahead for the murder. What about the codex?

84Well, it doesn't add up

PS And this Maddog's yacht is very similar to the "Slice of Life". Maybe she even is. It's interesting to know this story.
