At the end of the last episode, suspense caught up when gg crossed the bridge on a bicycle and collected medicines, prayed and everything hinted that he would die and the children would survive, as a result, at the beginning of the series there is only one scene where he arrives with medicines, after 2 minutes they already show 4 graves.
Even in the end, they screwed up - when they were talking on the radio with other survivors and there were doubts among them whether it was worth doing it, they could immediately add a plot. But in the end, they hesitated and immediately made a time jump where they show some kind of incomprehensible place by the river (although those survivors said they lived by the ocean), which ended up being unclear.
@MargoZaitseva: With baby teeth, I visited the dentist at the age of 7 at school for an examination, after 7 years there was no caries. I visited the surgeon after a run-in with an alcoholic for mentoring, the surgeon was surprised that all the teeth were free of caries. I cleaned my teeth 1 time to make them whiter (the natural color of the enamel is yellowish), and that's it. They also suggested removing wisdom teeth, but I'm not removing them. I can't stand the taste of sugar, even in food, I drink only herbal tea.
Whether that's the translation or not, I laughed at the scene of the girl's kid being killed. Well, anyway, whatever the scene, it's laughter, such nonsense, I can't ahah
The series is not for our entertainment, but for thinking. Overall, I liked the new look at the end of the world, when you don't have to fight the infected and die in parallel. Ish is an example of how not to be in such conditions😅
The shots at the end of the beauty are incredible🥹
@Liyuuuuunder: Oh, what's there to think about... Then it's better to take a look at Station eleven. It's also a meditative post-apocalypse, but at least more appropriate.
In 20 years, no one has guessed that using a radio station you can find someone else. Glory to the genius Joe Joe!!! It's just not clear why it was necessary to reinvent it, finding equipment and parts somewhere and dragging them home if it was possible to turn it on where it was))
Traveling with children is generally nonsense. Why go north to the mountains and forests? People there are cold and hungry, they usually tend to live in the south and near the water) Well, to meet that guy in the middle of nowhere is 80lvl luck.
It's understandable that they wanted to show something so philosophical and abstruse... moreover, it was shot based on some kind of novel. But it turned out to be bullshit, as for me.
I insist that humanity is a virus, a bacterium and a cancer of the planet. And all these insinuations about unification and society, everything will lead to the same thing again.
What a stupidity 🙈 my favorite is that he's under 50 years old in the series, but he hasn't changed at all 😂 that's saving on makeup, we spent everything on the last 3 minutes
The first episode is good and hinted at some hardcore and fierce survival game. And it ended with snot for love and for psychos. Something smelled during the arrival of the second group, led by a pedophile who fucked everyone he wanted for water. But they leaked it anyway. And GG became even dumber at the end than he was at the beginning. Unfortunately, the children who wrote numbers on fences with an arrow could add at least freq at the beginning.
And after watching it, I wanted to read the book based on which the series was filmed even more and compare the plot of the book and the series, maybe everything in the novel is more logically explained and more depth) In general, of course, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the plot and big time-skips. For 6 episodes, you don't have time to get used to and get into the characters, and there's no desire, to be honest. Probably because there is no more or less significant conflict between the characters. Even Charlie's antagonist was somehow quickly and logically removed from the plot. With this series, there was a situation where the title promised something more than the series was able to give the viewer in the end.
And I really liked it! A great variation on the theme of the end of the world, not hackneyed, realistic enough, without unnecessary nonsense. It's not too long, I was interested in every episode from beginning to end.
So, I'm throwing this at you. Thanks to all the commenters for helping me decide. This is really nonsense, 3 episodes and comments were enough to put an end to it.
It feels like two things. The story is interesting and I actually liked the time jumps. I don't remember such big ones in other movies and TV series. Otherwise, there are a lot of mistakes in the logic of the characters and screenwriters. It's a good thing they didn't stretch it any further. I want to read a book for comparison.
The series turned out to be a complete surprise, I would never have thought that such a bland, unorthodox post-apocalypse could be filmed. It's scary to imagine what's in the original novel.
At first, the name was confusing — why is earth without people if there are a decent number of actors there? Towards the end, it became clear that the Earth really is without people, complete idiots are swarming on its surface.
From episode to episode, more and more questions arose — why aren't any of the survivors trying to organize themselves somehow? How can you sit on the remnants of civilization and not try to think at least a little bit about the future? Have you run out of water? Well, we need to go check the pumping station, which somehow worked for several years without any maintenance.
Some nomads with harems, quietly abandoning their debauched lifestyle and becoming farmers after the amnesty. The children's journey to find other people is a couple of kilometers long. The stupid prohibitions of the head of the commune on searching in the hospital where medicines are provided. The love of cold steel in the post—apocalyptic USA is generally the icing on the cake. There's a train car and a small cart—why not use it? The list can go on indefinitely, everything looks like outright nonsense and it's interesting to keep watching, except to find out what else the author of the original source and the screenwriters of the project had enough madness for.
The ending is absolutely gorgeous. 20 years later, the survivors come up with the idea to build a radio transmitter, and then according to the drawings of a kid who really wanted to invent. The university library nearby, of course, did not contain books on assembling the simplest receivers.…
Outright trash and nonsense, which gave us some funny evenings watching TV while shouting "Well, stupid"
I'll pass - I won't even watch this episode and I'll unsubscribe from the series. I was expecting a fresh look at the apocalypse, it was possible to stretch this dreary plot 100 times, but it's clear the creators of the series don't care.
The fact that the corpses of eight billion people would have poisoned everything around with corpse poison, and all nuclear power plants and other chemical industries would have been bombed without maintenance to such and such a mother and nature would have been recovering for another two hundred years, but the survivors are cheerfully walking through virgin forests, that's when I should stop watching, but why- I watched it. Guys, I do not know what to say. It was so bad that it was even good.
@Plotnikova_l: The epidemic was not so rapid as to kill everyone in a day. And without a zombie attack. So the reactors could be shut down, and dangerous industries could be stopped. Well, almost everything. But as for the corpses, I also did not understand at all where these billions had gone...
@Hidji: but I doubt that anyone would jam something. At first, they wouldn't take the scale seriously, and then they'd run away. Or they would have moved the horses right on the nuclear buttons. Humanity is not ready for cataclysms 🫥
@Plotnikova_l: when evacuating from a nuclear power plant, they simply have to shut it down. No exceptions. And in the series it says that there was an evacuation, even though there was nowhere).
I don't know how you can live for half a century without dentists with such smiles... at least once they showed how a tooth is pulled out with pliers and how the roots remain to rot in a toothless mouth.
It's a good series, small, not drawn out, not like the others. Some of the repulsive scenes are too long, I would like to remove them a little. It is good that everyone began to live in peace and harmony. but it was a little late to figure out about the radio. The rest of the series are usually much darker.
And I liked the series. Calm, without much trash, and more philosophical. Previously, the topic of nature protection always came up in the information field, it was even fashionable to some extent, now other topics are being discussed. And it's great that the series encourages us to look around and reflect on the world around us and ourselves. And by the way, the 2024 TV series without the inclusion of the LGBT community is amazing even :)

71(I'm telling you this as a radio engineer.)

It seems like the theme of the series is addictive, but God, how depressingly it is served..
Honestly? It's depressing

This whole series is still nonsense. rare nonsense.

Expensive shit.
