I liked the episode, and most of the season too, but I keep saying, lol.

I guess if Rick doesn't really have any memories of Diana and he lets her go, the authors want to close this storyline for Rick. To be honest, I wouldn't want to see any forced time travel or attempts to restore everything.

I liked it, as recent memories showed, and there are direct events from past episodes of this season.

P.S. The Asshole was remembered at the end of the season, as it was in the past. I hope his story doesn't just develop in post-credits scenes every 10 episodes.

And the track in the episode is Don't Look Back (Diana's Version), as in the finale of the fourth season.

I mean, unlike the others who are there in the background in this scene, this is no longer a memory of a domestic Beth about herself, but a memory of another person, just with the same face. (All the others who gained self-awareness were Beth herself.) It turns out that cosmo-Beth (and in a childish form) is the only character besides herself to whom Beth has given self-awareness inside her consciousness... 🤔Maybe she just couldn't tell who was where.🤷

@mcmxlv: The "shared" (or rather, the same) memories are of the real childhood and youth of the first Bet. But the memory that was given self-awareness is not about real childhood (then there was still no "them" - there was only Beth). This is a rejuvenated version of adult Beth (when there were already two of them).
A recent episode from this season (we were reminded of it when Rick and Diana made their way to Beth with the words "we need to get to fresh memories"). They used a capsule to rejuvenate both Beths and age Rick. This one:

An awakened memory of Beth's real childhood is at the bottom left. And at the bottom right, in masks, these are adult Betas in a rejuvenated form.
And the memories of this event from the side of the one who is a cosmo-Bet will only be in the head of an adult cosmo-Bet who returned to her normal form (the one who was lying with a broken neck).
The domestic Beth, in whose head all this is happening, must have her own memories of that day only from the side of one of those two girls in masks. The second girl is a memory of the clone (/original), not of herself.
Therefore, it turns out that "cosmo-Beth (and in a childish form) is the only character besides herself to whom Beth has given self-awareness inside her consciousness..."

Unfortunately, this episode is better and stronger than the whole season.

Although the season was uneven, most of the episodes were still at a decent level.

The end of the season was very touching. I would like to believe that Rick could finally let Diane go, but it seems to me that this is simply impossible. The love and overwhelming guilt for what happened to her will never leave him.

I'm looking forward to the next season!

it has become much better, for example, even last season, the ratings on the seminars have improved, it is obvious that we have worked on the problems, although unfortunately the times of season 6 have not returned. I remind you that Royland was fired just like that, the man obviously extolled a huge contribution to this cartoon and is very talented, there are no further allegations of alleged violence, the charges have been dropped altogether, someone just removed him against the background of this whole cancellation culture. I remind you that a person's life was ruined simply on the basis of rumors that anyone could have spread with a couple of thousand bucks to bribe. And looking at how the series is stagnating, despite the obvious improvements, you still realize that all this won't last long, there's no data right now, but I don't see any hype around Rick and Morty, and this may affect the quality of future seasons or even lead to the end of this wonderful creation. Cancellation culture ladies and gentlemen, thank you to her

@luvrok: Unfortunately, this is how everything works in the industry. Just a couple of rumors, accusations without evidence, and a person's life is destroyed.
In no way am I defending those who have really harmed others, whether it's harassment or worse, but the ease with which a crowd is ready to tear anyone apart at the first command, deprive a person of a job and the meaning of life is monstrous. There are no more colosseums, but the masses are still hungry for bloody spectacles. To quote the Green Goblin (cough), "most of all, people want to see a hero fall." There are laws, there are courts, everything should be decided through them, but a "reputation" can be ruined by a single tweet. And then downhill- no job, no money, housing problems, etc.

Not so long ago, there was the case of Ed Piskor, when everything ended very tragically, and even though I didn't know the man, it was very painful to read about it and understand what happened.

I can't defend or accuse Royland. A cursory Google search at two in the morning says that there were allegations of domestic violence, which were closed for lack of evidence, and then there were allegations of flirting and harassment of female fans in 2023. I don't know. Many creative people have a couple of skeletons in their closet, maybe it was, maybe not, now it doesn't matter much, considering that they kicked him out one day as soon as it smelled fried: well, you wrote it right, you can bribe a couple of people, fake anything (especially now, in the age of AI...)- and it becomes even more difficult to find out the truth.

@luvrok: The problem is that when the accusations against Royland started, no one stood up for him, on the contrary, his colleagues started accusing him of various idiotic acts. So it's more likely that they weren't "fired when it smelled fried," but "fired when the opportunity arose."

@luvrok: to each his own. I liked last season more even though there were 2 so-so episodes.

Rick and Morty's script is being written several years in advance, so this is not a feedback for last season.

We don't know who was fired there or why. Maybe it was just an excuse, but they wanted to get rid of it themselves.

What kind of contribution? Voiceover? Dan Harmon seemed to say that the plot is all outsourced, the creators themselves are not deeply involved.

It's a good, beautiful episode about Rick.

The season itself turned out to be quite good, I would even say good. There are no weak episodes in the season, but there are no gorgeous ones either. Just a stable, well-made season. As far as I'm concerned, this is better than one episode at 10 and the other at 1. Although it's less spectacular. There wasn't enough series with a global plot. Yes, there was Johnrik, a series with his wife, and the same Jerry with his own versions (and even then it's very far-fetched to the global plot). But that's not enough, it wasn't enough for me.

an unpopular opinion. 6, 7, 8 are the worst seasons. It is obvious that the "tie-up, explosions, chases, bang, absurd situation, finale" scheme has outlived itself over so many seasons. if the series deviates slightly from the standard scheme (such as 8×7), it is already considered good. It's a pity that the series was extended to season 12.

Well, again, the old song behaves like a radish, and at the end he has a kind heart, he's just afraid to show it, but as much as possible, why doesn't he grow as a person, he's already avenged Diane, what the hell?

PS Who knows why they add scenes to the screensaver that won't be in the series itself?

This Rick is from dimension C-137. His Beth (C-137) died from the explosion.
Morty is from Dimension Prime. The dimension of Rick Prime (the daughter's killer), where Rick C-137 moved and took the place of the murderer of his wife and daughter in his universe. And for some unknown reason, everyone except Morty's family was stationed there.
Then Rick (C-137) and Morty (Prime) moved to the C-131 universe (where Rick defeated the epidemic, but exploded in the garage with Morty right after that, and the newcomers Rick and Morty buried their bodies in the courtyard and took their place).
And this Beth (like cosmic Beth and Summer) is from the C-131 universe.

And they are all now in the parmesan dimension (where they moved together from C-131 after another general infection).

@Liozalfara: yes, we don't know her code inside the series (as well as the code of the Parmisian dimension, by the way). But the characters themselves, if anything, know where it is and which Jerry is from where.

For convenience, we can call his home dimension 601 (by the number of the 6x1 series, when all travelers were scattered across their home universes). That is, the family took the actual Jerry-601 back from the universe of 601 to C-131.

Jerry's "native" Jerry (Jerry C-131) then automatically returned to C-131, but due to the substitution in "Jerry's Manger" (Jerryboree), he lived in the Jerry-601 universe from the beginning of the second season, where he and Beth did not divorce and continued to constantly fight, so they were changed back..
More precisely, they only took back "their" changeling (Jerry-601), just before "native" Jerry (C-131) released that cute little animal into C-131, because of which the whole family had to urgently move to the universe of Parmisian.
Jerry C-131 himself was bitten first, and he remained in the infected universe. So no one has returned to the "601" universe where the current Jerry is from.

It turns out that the family living in the Pamisian universe now consists of:
- Rika from C-137,
- Morty from Prime,
-Beth, Cosmo-Beth and Summer from C-131,
- Jerry from 601

And except for Jerry, everyone is the last living people for their original universes.

The new season of "Rick and Morty" got off to a great start with a series about intense carnage followed by PTSD and ended with a lyrical episode about bitter memories of loss. However, everything that came out in between was a rather boring and monotonous stamping of insanity. Even making fun of Snyder and Gunn's "Superman" looks more like an attempt to jump into the cart of current trends.

Whether it's a coincidence or not, after creator Justin Roiland was accused of domestic violence and instantly kicked out of the project, that very spark disappeared. I found myself thinking that I didn't feel anything from most of the new episodes, even though it used to be not just a journey through the universes for me, but also an extremely emotionally charged trip.

Maybe this will be another lesson that you can't just dismiss a person without trial. There is no justification for violence, and anyone who commits it must be punished. However, Royland was disposed of in the same way as Johnny Depp and many others once were, following the path of a cannibalistic junk cancellation culture. Royland was eventually acquitted of violence, but he lost his job, and the audience lost that unforgettable feeling when you look forward to every season of "Rick and Morty."

With each season, there is no longer anything to build theories on or delve into the details of the plot, simply because it has turned into some kind of Family Guy, where there are characters and their daily stories. At least the old characters are mentioned, but there are no episodes, for me it's not even certain that these are Rick and Morty from the c-137 universe. I don't know if, on the contrary, they should not have deleted the memories of Diana, but on the contrary, they should have told in more detail how Beth lived without her mother, how Rick disappeared, and revealed the story of the characters in some way. Yes, even the plot about how Jerry met Beth sounds more interesting, even if the plot is like from a "back to the future" type, the characters already have such a familiar character that you don't expect anything from them at all, and it's frustrating. Diana was like a fresh drink, because there's a new hero that we don't know anything about, but unfortunately they just gave up on her, and we can only wait for fanfiction, as another Rick will live there with Diana, maybe even get a new Beth, and start living anew, or maybe even Rick will have a son. In short, I'm upset that each season has become essentially similar to the previous one in the brain-blowing universe, but with such typical Riks/Summer/Beth/ Morti/Jerry. Like, I understand that this is the essence of the series, endless adventures, but it's just starting to get boring. Remember the same Jerry's parents, who have long been forgotten, and the type, why, for example, is there still no episode of how Jerry's father died? The characters are extremely lacking in connection with the secondary characters, they are too carried away making stories for the whole family at once.

I wish I could erase someone from my memory. But it's so sad.

I can't even comment... A very touching episode! At least one of the Ricks found Diane.

Season 8 is good. For the first time since season 3, I've never been bored.

A good episode of a good season.

The season itself is good in many ways, it only fell short with a parody of the Fast and the Furious. But it's clear that big bets are no longer being made, and soon the series will cease to be connected at all, everything will turn into a "Twilight zone" with various nonsense and without a single plot. No more emotional outbursts, fractures and threats of the avengers level. A quiet and inconspicuous psychoanalysis of the characters, which, in general, is not bad, but the transition is abrupt after most of the previous seasons. And then it won't be Diane who will remain in memory, but "our vibrator."

This finale allows you to close your eyes to all the shortcomings of the season. It's sad, I love that about Rick and Morty.

The season is good, smooth) the episode with Jerry in the top of the best as always)

It's not as bright anymore, but I still enjoy watching it. I'm looking forward to the new season and the spin-off about the president, who wasn't there this season.

Family and memories. Both are important, but when it gets mixed up in Rick's universe (or rather in Beth's head) It's a real madness happening. However, there is a hint in this episode that Rick has finally and irrevocably buried his Dayana. Well, it's time to switch to the beetle woman, although as for me, Rick is also beautiful in his loneliness.
