Discussion: Season 4, Episode 2 Join the Discussion
104How funny Violet came to interrogate Penelope, there is no scarier woman than the one who wants to marry her son)))
I did not expect that I would be so moved by the scene with the Queen and Lady Danbury 😭 Especially hard if you watched the spin-off about the queen
So far, I really like everything, and it seems to me that the shooting has become somehow different, a lot of close-ups and finally flashbacks!! I'm running to look further
I highly recommend watching it! There are only 6 episodes, aired between seasons 2 and 3.
P.S. The moment at the end where Benedict takes Sophie by the bare hand, helping her up into the carriage is just "Pride and Prejudice", just goosebumps😮💨
And the interiors, the transparent cupboards with shoes in the living room.
At the funeral of the Earl of Penwood, her father, she is stunningly beautiful.
Queen Charlotte's wigs went beyond reason and flew into space, too gorgeous 🔥
And so our "free soul, not bound by mundane circumstances," Ben and Sophie ride into the night.
God, I love the Bridgertons. 😘
The series is wonderful. That's just... alive! The wonderful Benedict, who, for all his loss, still remains a good and brave man. Showing himself with dignity in relation to a woman of any position in society.
Sophie. She is also a wonderful, interesting girl who is full of life, no matter what.
Overall, I'm very happy with this season so far. It is much deeper than all the previous ones. I don't even know how to choose the words, but I would like to say that this season they are revealing what is hidden behind the external brilliance. Everything is dark, uncomfortable, and denied.
When the queen cried, I cried too. It's true, she'll be all alone. Without a king and without a close friend. Where can she go? She can't just travel the world like that.
Where is the Bridgerton originality, I ask you?!
But there are nice vibes and good actors in the series. I just like the mother of the family — such tenderness, grace and slight disorientation in serious matters, as it should be at that time, because women didn't decide much and were more concerned with their own affairs. She's very sweet.
And by the way, I don't understand at all those who say that there is no chemistry between the main characters. It's very much there. It's just that every such chemistry has something so special.
And of course, my heart was just stolen by the moment between the Queen and Lady Danbury. I wasn't a big fan of the spin-off about Queen Charlotte, but it gave us a clear idea that with a sick husband and 11 children, she was completely alone and mercilessly lonely.
I just can't, I want to watch and watch.
, literally 1
in 1. It's not bad, but it's a very simple way to set the plot and hold your attention
. I want to think about what's going to be more interesting next.
Sophie, or rather the actress, is sooo sweet, but also with a punchy personality
it seems that the will will still fire, that's why she was kept in the house for so long
, and her mother may not have been a servant at all, the pendant will tell
But are you seriously saying that Benedict himself didn't think to look at the coat of arms embroidered inside the glove, but he went to 6 balls and 7 receptions?
Yes, he might not know what the coat of arms was, but show it to someone and move in that direction, rather than torment his sister
and I also watched the sweetheart among the Europeans and African-Americans, the genius of thought
there, even through the mask, everything is obvious.
Unfortunately, Eloise has not been able to help here either, although she used to seem like an interesting character
now just against the background.
Benedict was so hot when he defended Sophie and Hazel in front of these bumpkins...
It's funny, of course, how, after a mask that hides only the upper half of his face, Benedict doesn't look for a fair-skinned brown-eyed brunette (not to mention Asian women), but goes through all the girls in the world.
It's nice that at least Benedict appreciated (or wasn't as annoyed as the rest of the girls) Posy's weirdness and sincerity, the heroine is very sweet!
Oh, and the stepmother is a bitch bitch
It's a shame for Sophie that she didn't live the life she could...
if the girl's will wasn't shown, then it's not true that her father didn't leave anything.
I also think my stepmother lied about the will. And for sure we will hear the phrase "This is not your house" again, but already addressed to the stepmother herself!
"Are you sure we haven't met?"
"how is that possible, I'm just a maid.".
Oh, I hope by the end of the first half of the season Benedict will finally figure out who is in front of him!?
"I not only know how to sew, but I've seen girls in shirts!you don't know much about me")
and the woman is wonderful. It's clear how Sophie endured such a life at all. thanks to them. Katie Leung just fucking conveys this cold, empathy-free stepmother. Sometimes I'm even scared
, like Heloise's, Benedict is my beloved brother. so far, I like his story. although... It's hard for me to imagine that such a free person would settle down. but these are the Bridgertons, and love does wonders here.
The stepmother, of course, is spiteful. Well, I think we should expect a fake inheritance.
Eloise infuriated me last season, I like this one.
And in general, I'm already a fan of hers after: "YES, I KILLED THEM, YES, THEY KILLED ME, YES, I KILLED SO MUCH TIME, the carriage is served, madam, everything is ready."
I liked that, unlike the book, Sophie was introduced to her stepmother not at the end, after all the servants, but at the request of Araminta herself and showed how unpleasant it was for her to find out that her second husband, it turns out, has a daughter growing up from no one knows who. And Lord Penwood is not shown to be such an insensitive father towards Sophie.
Penelope, what do you know about Benedict's quest?
- I'm sorry, but Lady Whistledown...
- Penelope Bridgerton!
- (instantly sat down) yes, ma'am (("

Netflix: I forbid you, I am your queen!
Plus, the queen's moods are encouraging.
About the queen, that's what I used to think before I watched the spinoff about her.
It is very difficult to find a true friend, and when you need to let him go, it is very difficult and the inner egoist begins to connect. I think the Queen will release Danbury at the end of the season, and maybe even earlier.
Mom of the Bridgerton family is dragging me along as usual this season, and in general, I'm very happy about the return of all my favorite characters, but I still really miss Daphne.
The plot is addictive, interesting to watch
It was so sad to see how desperately Benedict was looking for his stranger💔
Another sad moment is the queen's speech, where she asks her friend not to leave her😭💔
I was so glad, the songs are almost the main reason why I love this series aahhahah
I waited, and I knew that this time it would not be without Taylor)))))
Overall, I liked this episode much more than the first one. I accepted that we were watching a fairy tale and just enjoyed it. Beautiful, cool
it's a pity for Eloise, who is now not even on the same wavelength with her brother, as before eh ((
Actually, I'm kind of worried about the season about Eloise, what it's going to be like, because now we're watching how such a free and extraordinary Benedict easily fell in love at first sight, even though he denied it all, and what would happen to Eloise?.. It's just that it's really not in the spirit of their characters.. but we already wrote about this above, such a series, love works wonders and all that, we accept it as it is.
in general, I liked everything in general, thanks for Taylor, this is definitely the best thing that has happened so far in 2 episodes!!🤭
Oh, yes, I remembered, I also wanted to write about Lady Danbury and the Queen. to be honest, I didn't know there was a spin-off, but I only found out about it from the comments, so I'm just looking at what's being shown here, and I've had mixed emotions about this arc since the first episode, because it's unclear why it was added, and well... it looks very ambiguous, in terms of their relationship it looks ambiguous, maybe someone has the same emotions about it, I don't know, I'll walk carefully around this topic, but I can't get rid of the thought that netflix is doing this on purpose, if you know what I mean
Not the simple fate of a girl, not the gentle and beloved daughter of her parents, but fighting for her life... this is something new.
Ohhh, I'm looking forward to the face of this lady (father's wife) when she sees her with him... and it's definitely going to happen 🤭
I liked what the downstairs shows, but not everything is so rosy in this fantasy kingdom. I liked how lively the new heroine is. I really liked the way the actress plays Penelope: how she looks with interest into Eloise's face, what an open and lively facial expression she has, without going overboard. Excellent 👍
Sophie's story was a little predictable, but that doesn't make the season any less interesting. Let's see how their relationship with Benedict will develop, so far we have been teased with small details, but it already feels like the characters are coming out of their usual roles.
Most likely, there's some kind of setup with a will. And perhaps with the death of her father.
But of course he's not much of a father. A pupil, not a daughter, this phrase has already said a lot.
He chose the left-hand woman instead of his own daughter.
Sophie, baby, how beautiful you are... Why didn't Benedict look at your lips, he definitely should have done it) he is so touching in his sadness...
the queen is sweet, my tears flowed when she cried... Such a touching moment.
it feels a bit like it went from an 18+ rating to a 12+ rating)) not even in terms of explicit scenes, but naivety and the relationship between the characters. I wish the next episodes were somehow more life-affirming.
I laughed so much when Violet came to Benedict after she had extorted information from Pen!
Freedom for the parrots! Justice for Posey! Why do I always feel an influx of almost parental feelings when I see such a silly girl that in previous seasons, which is here?
At first, I thought it would break my heart if Benedict didn't recognize her, but did they make it more interesting??? Who are these screenwriting geniuses?!
Well, I'm pretty sure that my stepmother lied that she wasn't in the will. Maybe she owns the whole house. Or she was supposed to become a rich bride, and madame is not ready to share the money. I even hope that this season they won't do what they did to Lady Featherington, when, although she remained superficial, she had an arc of redemption. Not all bad people are just misunderstood good people, some are just selfish to the point of lawlessness and with a broken moral compass. But then there will be questions about the ethnic solution ahahahahah!
Py.Sy. Sophie's father plays very poorly. Let's make it smaller!
The second season is certainly out of competition, but the events of the fourth are also very enjoyable to watch.
With the will, I think the thing is that the stepmother should take care of Sophie before her marriage, and after Sophie should get a house, money, etc. So the stepmother keeps her to herself, but hidden in the maids, and kicked her out when she realized that Benedict's enthusiasm could lead to marriage
It's a shame that there wasn't much Colin and Penelope in season 3 ((
