Because of the moment with the New One, I specifically returned to that scene under the tree of episode 85 to see what exactly they said to Killua... I remember how angry I was when they mocked him, not knowing the whole situation (for example, that Kaito praised Killua for knocking out Gon and told him to do his legs). Even Netero somehow listened more or less seriously, and Morel and Nov then grunted, then smiled/laughed, joked again and again about what kind of stupid kids Gon and Killua are and how Killua does not have a hunter's future, since he is such a loser. Wow, it's very adult to assert yourself at the expense of children or someone less experienced than you! (In general, it is interesting that even the camera angles in the scene are set (?) it's as if those two are looking at Killua straight up, taking up most of the screen, grinning like hyenas of some kind).
It was so nice to see that Nov at least realized his mistake. And Killua, please note, did not chatter with his teeth, just stunned, probably silently digesting the situation.
I still don't think it was worth attacking him like that then, he realized that they were not ready, and that they should become stronger.
