Javier Bardem 100% getting into the image of Max Cady

It's a very, very good start. It would seem a familiar story. But it's important how it's served, and so far it's fine.
I love Bardem, I've missed his roles so much.

I was afraid that Amy Adams would have nothing to do as a wife, but it's good that they made her an opposing lawyer, I wonder how modern technology will be used in this adaptation.

To begin with, I haven't watched the early adaptations and certainly haven't read the original. For me, this series is a new unknown story. And it's a pretty big story, where the producers are Scorsese and Spielberg, and one of the directors is Amanda Marsalis (Pitt, Umbrella Academy. This means that expectations are overestimated in advance. But at least the first episode keeps up with these expectations. The series, though introductory, is really scary, creepy, and leaves an unpleasant metallic taste in your mouth...

He shot himself twice, it was really cruel.

It's clear that he wants to take revenge on this family. But kill the innocent animals along with the cubs and throw them into the pool...Cruelty to innocent animals is unacceptable.

He's such a nervous guy, especially Amy Adams, who conveys this feeling through the screen throughout the series. De Niro played more clearly from a psycho, and Bardem, as it seems, is an intelligent taco))

Anna talked so easily about erroneous sentences, about correcting mistakes, as if it were about 3-4 months. The man spent 17 years in prison, surrounded by criminals, without being a criminal. I've lived my whole life branded as the murderer of my pregnant wife.

Anna and Tom, instead of asking for forgiveness from a man who, through their fault, served 17 years for nothing, ask why he came to this meeting.

After the 1961 and 1991 films, it was curious how this story would be shown in the format of a TV series.

The first episode turned out well: I liked the way Bardem plays, it's just creepy. I also liked that the Bowden family line was expanded.

A tense episode, creepy and with an oppressive atmosphere, and, most importantly, the desire to watch on. 😱👍

Unfortunately, the trailer turned out to be better than the first episode. I haven't read the books, I haven't watched the originals, but the understatement of the three, in my opinion, good actors, is too striking. The deft camera swings and oppressive music turned out to be plucked from another series.

Javier Bardem is simply gorgeous.

Well, it's a great start. These camera spans, the music, the atmosphere - you just catch the vibe of the movie. The series is clearly shot in the style of such a rare classic thriller. Scorsese's influence must have had an effect. The atmosphere of incomprehensible fear, incomprehensible horror, and incomprehensible worries was well conveyed.
From the very first scenes, it's clear that a lot has changed in the series compared to the book and the movies. But it's even more interesting this way.
We've assembled a good cast. By the way, the son is played by Joe Anders, the son of Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes.
