I watched all 8 episodes at once. Perhaps because of this, it seemed to me that the tempo was a little slack in the 6 and 7 series. But overall, the impression is as positive as possible. And even after watching it, I still want something like that.
I just got an aesthetic pleasure from watching the noir spider. Except that it didn't rain much, as far as I was concerned😁
@Гринч33: I'm sorry, but please clarify. Do you have a comment for episode 5 at 22:56, and for episode 8 at 23:58, are you watching the series in order to be the first to leave a comment on x3 speed?
@Paramelion: I am ready to satisfy your curiosity. Basically, I'm still looking at x2. And if you just pay attention, I did not leave comments on all episodes, because there is no goal in itself to leave them everywhere, much less to be the first. It's not a competition. It's strange that you're so hurt by this😁
@Malsagov: What's wrong with watching at an accelerated pace? For example, dull and unhurried series become quite lively, you don't get bored when watching. That's how I started. And then I just got involved. True, I haven't progressed beyond x1.5 yet, but everything is ahead))
@Grinch33 glad to be at the temporarysx cheaters club nearby
@zyyfff: No, it's better not to mess with AI. I asked the ENT of the Wheel of Time to tell me - there were so many hallucinations, as it turned out later. It's the same with the Beauty comic, I read this comic later and there are also discrepancies with AI. Still, it's better to watch the bloggers or watch them at x2 speed.
In general, you need to learn how to process information as an alpha generation — everything is clear in 4 seconds .
@ИнтeрecныйФиллep: I haven't tried to ask for stories based on books and comics. But for movies and TV series, AI from Yandex helps me a lot sometimes when I don't want to review the old before watching the new, but I've already forgotten what was there and what ended there. And AI always does a great job.
Our OS is outdated, so we can't learn how to cope as an alpha generation with all our desire.
@zyyfff: humanity has all compatible operating systems and, as a last resort, it will slow down, but even if it creaks, it will work. So the good old principle of "if you suffer for a long time, something will work out" comes first. And there will be more seconds, that's right).
As for neural networks, by the way, the most striking example is how they translate text into comics. Often, the meaning changes radically, and some of the lines are from the wrong characters. So that's where @Interestingfiller is right. We have to wait a few more years for them to learn not to distort the original source.
@Hidji: the main thing is that the motherboard does not burn out when trying (and no one is immune from this). So it's up to everyone to decide for themselves whether it's worth the risk or not. 😁
@Interestingfiller was talking about comics and books, I was talking about movies and TV series. And in my case, there have been no misfires so far . 🤷🏻♀️ However, I did not try to make a video out of the text, the AI is really not very sharpened in this direction yet, but every year it gets better))
@zyyfff: He also gave me mistakes when he asked me about the comic book Star Wars. There are a lot of them, almost no hands have reached this particular part of the universe (and I haven't read many books either). So I asked several times. And this infection sometimes drove😅. That's why I don't trust you either. And anyway, it's already a well-known fact that neural networks sometimes come up with a joke and sell it to the questioner at face value. But if it is the plot of the watched season of the series that we recall, then perhaps it is really possible. It doesn't take much to bring back what you've forgotten.
@Гринч33: I watch some videos on YouTube in 2x, for information and if they speak too slowly. I tried to watch a 1.5-minute movie once... I won't do that anymore, it's better to just squander all the tedious or banal game. When watching it quickly, it's just that the impression of the movie is not the same, the atmosphere and tempo are different. Movies aren't usually watched for information. As it is, of course, yes... to whom what. :))
@Actiregularis: That's how I watch most of the new movies in the cinema. You can't put a conditional godfather on x2 there, and of course I won't watch it in accelerated mode. But the series on x2 are flying with a bang.
@Гринч33: I'm surprised at those who watch without acceleration. After all, cinema was originally invented for double speed. Probably, all films from the time of Charlie Chaplin were shot with acceleration.
@Hierarch: You can't trust anyone. Bloggers too, because their retelling is only their interpretation of what they saw. But when the goal is just to find out what the series is about, whether it will be interesting to watch it, then you can close your eyes to some inaccuracies, because I don't aim to watch as many series as possible at maximum speed). It used to happen when I turned off the short story and started watching the series, as it was with the Preacher. Because the plot just caught on. As a result, I watched all the seasons. Or the series OA, which has been in bookmarks for a long time.. I decided to watch a short retelling, and realized that it was definitely not my thing, but a slow-moving plot. As a result, a short retelling saved time, learned the plot and ending, and the series was deleted from bookmarks.
I have only one question, even though I've watched a lot - not all of them, of course, but a lot of animated series about spider, but I don't remember such a character there as this African-American, or was he invented for the series!? Because I don't remember such a separate one with an incomprehensible panzer in more than one animated series.
@vk728323: Unfortunately, the question is not for me. I haven't watched Spider-Man cartoons, nor have I read comics. So I don't know if such a character exists there.
But I'm inclined to believe that he was either invented for this series, or they made an analogue of Luke Cage with impenetrable skin from KVM and comics not about Spider.
@vk728323: I thought it was a local version of Luke Cage, but it turns out to be Tombstone. And I have no idea why he is like this or what kind of insect (animal) was used in German experiments on him that he became like this.
Personally, I'm more attracted to the series than the Disney twenties, except, perhaps, the specials). A great combination of a comic book and a noir detective story.
It's not too bad, but I'm not too thrilled either.
A kind of Sin City on minimums. The plot is quite simple, there's not enough action and it's not impressive, it was frankly boring at times, and the TV-14 rating makes it impossible for scenes of direct serious cruelty that would clearly benefit such a show.
Nicolas Cage in the title role and the very atmosphere of noir (although it is not so coolly recreated here) were not enough to somehow strongly hook and cover the rest of the shortcomings.
How cool is Cage and noir! I've swallowed the whole season in one gulp, and I'm thrilled! The stringy noir is straight canon, the soundtrack is spot on, the cinematography is a delight! you can now review it in color)
@Norax: You won't regret it! The color version will add depth and character to the characters, because even by the wardrobe you can tell which person is inside)))
@zyyfff: initially, when it became known that there would be two versions, I told myself that the first viewing would be in black and white, and noir, well, it implies this, and then the revision will be in color) I was pleased as an elephant with such an experience)
The CB version looks great. The picture and many angles resembled Sin City (which is not enough now). The story is normal and interesting. Cage gives out his basic performance with a little bit of nonsense, but personally, I liked Silvermane performed by Brendan Gleeson more, although there wasn't much of it, and Ben's secretary was cool too.
The cameraman's work is excellent, the picture is great, the characters are interesting, and Nicholas is incomparable. This series was worth the wait and the time. Yes, it could have been more dynamic, more scenes, but in general, this is enough.
It's a nice little series, I liked that the story is quite intimate and independent, not part of some big universe. The voices and accents of the characters turned out especially well.
Well, although it was delayed for a couple of episodes. For such timing, they could have made a second bottom, for example, so that Ogden would show some previously unused powers after rejuvenation and everyone would regret that they had cured him. As it is, we have a modest conflict, identified from the very beginning, for an unnecessary number of hours.
I was also very confused by all of Silvermane's scenes in an empty restaurant. It was as if there was no money and the supposedly richest man was just gnawing on peanuts. Note that even when he came to the mayor's restaurant, there was no food on the tables. Anyway, after the Sopranos, I can't believe the mafia doesn't run tables that aren't full of good food. In short, some kind of fake gangster came out. Kingpin at a discount.
The plot attracts with its mundanity, because instead of saving the world, we are shown a tough crime drama of the Great Depression era. The main character, played by Nicolas Cage, turned out to be a very lively and tired detective, whose problems are interesting to watch. The series completely lacks childish naivety, and the emphasis is on a deep atmosphere and cynical realism. The project definitely deserves attention for its unique style and adult approach to the story.
Suddenly, the best Marvel series in recent times was given to Sony, whose full-length efforts, even against the background of the slumping mcu, looked extremely mediocre. and here they tried their best. both with stylization and with the plot. and the color frame of the color version was perfectly made in the old days. I looked at the first half in black and continued in color. The talented nephew turns out to be still talented. in general, I got a kick out of watching, even the hope appeared that serial comics could still be strong.
@musicliveinus: Well, they probably think that I'm a plus-dro4er. but I'm really just curious to know how many people have watched which version. for me, it's a completely different experience (as they say). :)
Probably, the fresh emotions from watching and the boundless love for Nicolas Cage speak for me, but this is the best thing that has happened to the Spider-Man film adaptations! Complete delight!
Well, she was right about the antidote, that the Spider would give it to the Sandman. However, I did not understand why the latter's arm grew back after it broke in glass form. Or was it a prosthetic? 🤔
It's probably a very decent series with a complete story. But if there's a second season, I'll definitely watch it.
@zyyfff: I didn't understand why the sandman suddenly decided to fight the spider in the end. Only he hesitated to betray Silvermane and suddenly went to beat the spider, which, as he already knew, had an antidote! It was very stupid of him and the character's motivation — instead of unwinding the Firefly (Megawatt) and going on a trip with an Asian woman, he just decided to beat the spider????)
This is my only complaint. I liked the rest very much.
@a1511707: I can suggest the idea that logic here gives way to the laws of the noir genre. The psychology of "weapons" and learned helplessness + noir fatalism, when salvation seems as close as possible = the spirit of old crime dramas, where characters break their destinies with their own hands. For example.
@a1511707: To be honest, I also consider this to be a minus in this series. Still, it would be logical that the sandman would immediately side with the spider when he saw that they had a common enemy, Electro, who wanted to destroy the antidotes.
@dex_cuse: How convenient it is for scriptwriters, but even under this tide he can distinguish his girl and go self-sawing and become glassy from electricity. Although the whole movie before that seemed to be able to fight and not just grab and wait for it to be boiled
In short, they got into a lot of drama, and then his arm grew back on its own.
Damn, after The Boys, I expected the doctor's son to die after the antidote, or at most just stop aging — and not become a young goldfinch. So I thought with pesochny that he would remain disabled.... But where it's convenient for them, they have the logic of a screenwriter, and where it's not, it just doesn't exist.
A few episodes were missing. Many thanks for the origin horror series. Now I'll wait for the dubbing to watch in the black and white version. There is some suspicion that "Freckle" did not die. Well, the "electro-donut" too
@Danman: Well, history is silent about this. The strange thing is that no one has lost so many people who "mutated in banks." But it's more interesting to see how advanced their abilities were already.
Well, some kind of CW turned out at the exit. And not as good as "Arrow" in its best seasons or "The Flash", but rather "Supergirl". Of course, the cameramen and aesthetics of noir put this series above those mentioned, but it looks rustic. Such a "Gotham" or "Pennyworth" with small steroids. I wanted more "spideriness", but that's what it is. A TV series of category B. You can watch it, but if you don't watch it, you won't lose anything.
@SerjBar: Yes, I wonder if comics are as comical? I was expecting something else, I thought it would be a straight serious noir with a tin, but here it looks very much like the CW with a bigger budget.
@houseofyudin: I really wanted to read it at the time, but I couldn't get around to it. Manga vs comics won 😂 Does anyone else from the commentators know?
@houseofyudin: if we take noir, then the comics there are so fierce that it could be beaten in the series. Only the age rating would be different. Especially with the Vulture
@Ebony_Maw: Did she put a cartridge in the chamber? I didn't see it. It's possible that he was already there, and then there was the full store. But then, yes, the nonsense is that she then set up a single megawatt.
I hope there will be a season 2 and the action will be tightened in it. there's not enough of him in the series and they went overboard with how the Spider grabs almost everyone.
I watched the black-and-white version, which is 5 out of 5. I was most impressed by the level of artistic performance. I planned to stretch the viewing for 8 days, but the delicious monochrome visual quickly won out. The smoke, the play of shadows, the newspaper aesthetics, the eternal twilight of New York and the unhurried rhythm work perfectly.
The funny thing is that I'm pretty indifferent to both Spider-Man and Cage, and I haven't crossed paths with noir in fifteen years. But it all came together here. And how good it is that they know how to be silent in the series. Without endless jokes, without the feeling that the viewer needs to be entertained every minute with Marvel chatter or action. I often enjoyed not so much the plot as the viewing process itself, and periodically found myself sitting with a satisfied smile because of individual scenes, camera angles, music, or intonations of the characters.
I also liked that the series does not try to pass itself off as a "new word" in superheroics, but honestly works through classic noir and archetypal characters. In the end, I got exactly what I was waiting for: a noir with a Spider, not a Spider with noir elements. I would love to watch the second season!
It's a good 5/10. I looked at it in color, and I didn't regret it. The picture is very juicy and colorful, the scenery and costume are just brilliant. Light, sometimes funny, Cage is a darling
@Sania_san: no, for me 5-6 is bad and not very good, those projects that would be better not to watch, 7-8 is more or less good, 9-10 is excellent and a masterpiece. And that's a 10-bit system, at least with fractional values.
@musicliveinus: you have the right rating system, for me 5/10 is bad,6/10 is average,7/10 is above average,8/10 is good,9/10 is excellent,10/10 is magnificent/masterpiece
At first, I wanted to see everything in one evening. But still, I decided to wait for subtitles for all episodes and stretch out the content. I looked, of course, at CB. Absolut cinema! Sony has found another successful interpretation of the spider in addition to its hit "Web of Universes". I hope the second season won't be long in coming. Cage is still not getting any younger.
Well, not bad, at least you can even call it the rehabilitation of Nicolas Cage. An interesting move with two color schemes, I even want to reconsider it a little in other colors.
For me, it's a very weak series. I didn't feel any atmosphere in it. Cage's antics are, as always, cloying. The villains are unconvincing. The plot is predictable. If you don't look, you won't lose anything.
I wasn't really looking forward to the release of this series, but I couldn't help but watch it. And I'll say this: I really enjoyed the series. The plot, the actors, the atmosphere – everything is on top. I want to highlight the b/w version separately, and I advise everyone to watch it in it. I tried to look at the color one, but the whole entourage is lost somewhere. In total, ten drunken spiders out of ten
What a Flint, what a drag. How many times could his girlfriend have been killed, but he never stood up? How can you fall in love with someone like that? The singer exchanged such a heroic guy for some kind of slobber.
Very beautiful picture, amazing costumes, cosmic soundtracks. The overall impression is good, but it was only worth adding some scenes with color inserts a la Sin City or just making the series black and white - this would give the very "noir". At the moment - one of the best TV series of 2026 imho
@JuliannaShine: umm... I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstood, but the series was released in two versions – color and black and white. All noir lovers watched it in b/w 🤔
@zyyfff: I Googled it and yes, you're right) well, I'll wait for the second season to rate it in black) thank you, I wouldn't have known about the existence of the second version without you))
I watched 8 episodes, in general - I've always been interested in seeing the life of Spider-Man, aged). I wasn't expecting this spider at all, and it came out quite suddenly for me, and I was surprised and very happy, I'm happy, even though it wasn't much action, of course)
There were no expectations, but the series surprised me, in a good way. Cage is a great actor to watch. The visual, the black-and-white picture, the shooting itself in the style of an old movie, I really liked it. It was interesting to see Spider-Man at an age. Among the new TV series and superhero movies, this one stands out. I also really liked the image of the spider itself, its "jokes", twitching, instincts, and so on. It feels like superpowers are something... scary. It's a good series, 5 spiders out of 5. 🕷️
The series is awesome! In one go!! Cage is gorgeous just to see you off!! I loved the atmosphere, the CB, and the detective vibe so much! Just a thrill!! I will definitely review it in color, it's interesting too)) I knew he would give Flint the antidote))Kat is gorgeous, it's a pity they didn't work out with the spider)))I hope there will be a sequel, it seems to be quite good.. BUT I love Cage too much.. So I'm waiting.
Cage fit right in, and he always did great with quirky characters. There are good scenes, the actors are good. It's caricatured in places, but there's a lot less fake "noir" than expected. Perhaps this is even a minus for such a series, it's hard to say, but the surroundings and aesthetics were quite enough for me personally. I watched it in black, because the series was shot under black, and the color version was made after. But in general, the Noir Spider is not viewed in black and white, it is doubtful purely thematically, in my opinion.
Hopefully they'll make season 2. As for me, and according to reviews, the series got knocked up)) I got really excited from watching) we are waiting for other villains!
Spidey has always been and will remain my idol. It is incredibly interesting for me to observe all his versions and interpretations. But this Noir Spider performed by Cage is just something. He fit perfectly into the atmosphere of a dark noir detective story.: charismatic, mysterious and incredibly stylish. It's really fascinating to watch him.
I watched the series in black and white, and maybe someday I'll review it in color, and in general I like to review Spider-Man stories over and over again.
I'll be glad if the second season is released someday, but I won't be upset if it's not filmed either. These eight episodes feel like a complete and complete story. Sometimes it's better to stop in time than to stretch what has already turned out to be almost perfect.
This is the first time that something good has been said about a spider, after so many years. Even if it's not based on comics, the noir here is straight noir, the plot is a bit weak, but the execution is excellent! Music, staging, dialogues! And how the spider is sarcastic is a separate kind of pleasure!
I finally watched it, it turned out to be a good series, it's a pleasure, I don't know if there will be another season, but I would definitely watch it. The b/w and color version solution is cool.
It's a great series, original and atmospheric. Cage, as always, is great. I liked that all the characters here are not flat, but each is interesting in its own way. The Sandman has been turned into an antihero again, in fact, he's just a sick and confused man who can't find a place for himself. Megawatt (aka the local Electro) is just a complete psycho, and after defeating him, you really get high in the end. You need to watch exclusively in b/w - this is how the vibe of the 30s feels more. I'm looking forward to the second season - I'll watch it with pleasure! I think there should definitely be a sequel after such success.
Since I was 4 years old, since that 1994 cartoon, I have loved Spider-Man immensely. I literally grew up with each adaptation and loved each one in its own way at the time. That's why the idea of a full-fledged Spider-Man series initially excited me!
I liked everything. The spidery plot fits perfectly into the noir canon, aesthetics are everywhere. Cage is very good, many moments are enchanting thanks to his game, he created his own version of the humorous image of a Spider in a personal crisis, and it personally resonated with me. There was also a place for references to past film adaptations, which also warmed the soul. A team with a secretary and a journalist - plus 100 to the mood!
With the villains, of course, I wouldn't take the fiery one out of the plot so quickly, since Sony is giving us the Electric Sandman again, but what can we do? In any case, the noir versions came out original! I would have given Freckles a little more time (although we haven't seen his death, he might survive and show up in the new season if he gets it done).
In general, two of my loves came together here: for the character of Spidey and for the classics of cinema. That's why I have 10 Spiders out of 10. I'll review it in color at the end of the year)
In my opinion, it turned out very cool. I didn't expect anything at all, I didn't follow the series (although I grew up watching cartoons and the first feature films) and was sooo pleasantly surprised. As you correctly said above, this is not a spider with a gut — it's a noir with a spider. Almost a hundred years later, Nicolas Cage turned out to be the perfect Humphrey Bogart)
In the final episode, I just missed some kind of Electro climax. The whole victory over him came down to "The spider lay down, and then got up and threw him into the subway train." It would be possible to come up with some kind of twist, that he would be outsmarted and he would overload with energy, well, from the most obvious. And what happened to him next? He certainly didn't die from that train. Here, or to somehow connect his death with the same subway, it also runs on electricity.
(Okay, while I was typing, I realized that this was probably a joke — the dude worked as a conductor on the subway, and he died from it. Well, at least it's witty.)
An excellent cast, a successful mix of genres - there's action, detective, and sometimes quite appropriate comedy. Cage was especially pleased, I haven't seen him in such a suitable role for a long time. I watched it in black and white, and it was very stylish. And, probably, the main indicator for me is that it's been six days since watching it, and I still periodically recall individual scenes. So it's hooked. Beautiful, with character and soul.
It turned out to be a good series. With its own unique vibe. Cage, of course, pulled out a lot on his back. I tried to watch the first episode in color, the mood is not at all right, the highlight, in my opinion, is lost.
Optional, but a very good series. Even more holistic and interesting than the second season of daredevil, but in a worse hurry about the punisher. I tried to watch it in CB, cool, vibe, but the locations are so cool that I still watched the rest of the series in color. Well, for me, the casting was wrong for the singer. No, she's cute, but I see someone in the performance of Eva Green as femme fatale) I would like to add a little more budget and it would be generally good
Cool, I didn't expect it. It's a pity that Amazon killed the series by releasing all the episodes at once and all the hype on it died in a week and it has already left all the tops of Amazon, so most likely that's it. Well, maybe for the best, not everything needs to be stretched. And the series is really strong, otherwise the superheroics haven't been very encouraging lately. The characters are cool, both main and secondary.. The only thing I thought was that Silvermane's ending would be more difficult and that Kat wouldn't survive either, but overall the happy ending is normal. The guy who played Electro was clearly getting high from the role)

I'll review it in color at the end of the year)
In the final episode, I just missed some kind of Electro climax.
I'll be waiting for the second season.
The secretary is my crush.
one disadvantage. few.
I tried to watch the first episode in color, the mood is not at all right, the highlight, in my opinion, is lost.
The characters are cool, both main and secondary.. The only thing I thought was that Silvermane's ending would be more difficult and that Kat wouldn't survive either, but overall the happy ending is normal. The guy who played Electro was clearly getting high from the role)
