One of the best episodes, a great series from start to finish. I really liked Nolan's scenes on earth - the conversation with Mark and then with Debbie (Sandra Oh well done), and there was another cool moment with Art, especially "I...dress heroes, Nolan" and how he choked afterwards. The duet of Allen and Zoey is also great (about ego = the only weakness is funny).
What a battle... Conquest is awesome (Cecil screwed up badly), but Mark is still unrealistically good, kept his word and, despite everything, finished off Conquest. The animation is great, the scenes with the insides are tinny.
The frame where the Conquest is for Oliver is 10/10. But of course Oliver shouldn't have gone with them.
@kobiii: it seems that Oliver clearly explained this in the series, it's better now that he flies and helps in any way he can than later he will be alone on earth if the heroes lose this war and the Wiltrumites arrive.
@kobiii: It seemed that I had missed something. When did Conquest escape? Or will it be revealed later as a flashback? The series is super, but the appearance of conquest raised questions)
The gut scene is certainly cool. Everything really shrank inside. But the first half of the episode was also good. You see, by the time Mark gets back, the family will be bigger, huh
It's amazing that Zoey's gender was changed compared to the comics, but as a character she is very pleasant, I liked it even more than the comic version.
When he saw the final fight between Conquest and Mark, he jumped up in his chair and clawed at it with his nails. It's been a long time since I've been fed anything good by these TV shows of yours…
The best thing that these episodes and the season have brought so far is the humanization of Nolan. In the comics, this happened a little later. And the scene at home with Debbie is creepy. And it's a pleasure to hear J.K.Simmons (it's at my pace here). It only gets better and hotter!
I may be expressing a slightly unpopular opinion, but Mark has been hurt too much for me. Considering everything that was going on in his head on earth, it would be a good time for him to stop holding back altogether. I'll support the commentators above - The dynamics of the characters were excellent in this series. Both on the ground and during combat. Oliver is still the weakest link in this gang. It would have been better if he had obeyed and stayed on earth. Although who knows, he may still play a key role in the future.
@Raidan: he literally killed the strongest Wiltrumite in general in solo, whom the Wiltrumites themselves were afraid of. Where can you really "stop holding back"
Well, it's not surprising because he's not like the main character of this animated series and this story, it's not for nothing that an animated series was created in his honor.
This is not surprising, because as father - Nolan - omniman used to say that in their race, the older you get, the stronger you get + experience in battles and if it was correctly translated in this series in Dubbing, then Nolan told me here for almost 1000 years, although I thought and it seemed to me that somewhere they said in the first seasons That he's only 500
@vk728323: I don't know if this is true or not, but it always seemed to me that the strength of wiltrumites increases in about the same way as the strength of bone tissue after fractures or muscles after microfractures from stress. That is, the more often he gets fucked, the more he gets fucked.
I just didn't understand 1. how do they communicate with each other in space, if only Allen has telepathy. And if it's because of the chips— then okay. But then how do they communicate with the enemies, how does the dialogue even happen? 2. Why can they fly in space for days without oxygen, and then he died in 5 minutes without air?
@levishows: 1. Almost everyone has chips in space. 2. They can't, they stop on planets to inhale, but Conquest exhaled, but he didn't have time to exhale.
@levishows: 1. The captain said, "It's urgent to implant speaking chips in the medical bay." 2. As I understand it, they take in air and hold their breath. And then he exhaled, and Mark blocked his chance to inhale.
@levishows: In the comics, it is explained that Mark, with his landing, pushed all the air out of Conquest, and later completely blocked the flow of blood (and oxygen) to his brain.
@g1664778: in fact. Mark suffers in every fight, because without superpowers, he's a sucker. Before the manifestation of his powers, he was an ordinary sucker who was bullied at school. Nolan should have raised him in Dagestan, not in the suburbs of the American dream. Then he would have spanked almost everyone.
Such a nice first half and such a cool but creepy ending. Cool, Mark grabbed Conquest's throat with his hands (like teeth) and didn't let go until the very end. Of course, I thought, "why doesn't Conquest cut with his palm like usual?" And GOD, I wish I hadn't thought about it, because then the real tin started 😰
That's what we wanted to see - a battle of supermen, without any calf tenderness, tin as it is. Even knowing the whole story from the comics, it was still scary for Mark, the scene is wild But the usefulness of the Techno jacket raises questions, like an imba, but it was useless in a fight, mb will still show its full potential.
@dkarnov: In the comics, the Techno Jacket was rather a pleasant bonus for fans and was in a cameo role. As far as I remember, he didn't have a storyline there at all: he occasionally appeared here and there in the background. And in the serial adaptation, a full-fledged character (well, they made her a girl). So far, an interesting/pleasant character is coming out.
Speaking of futility, throughout the series, the characters' power levels go back and forth and everywhere. The authors are very inconsistent in this matter: especially when the plot is pressed, so you can twist someone to the maximum, and someone to zero. The situation will be similar here, I think.
@nelistikk: The Tech jacket has its own comic (you should read it, ksta), and he took out two evil Stamps (this is the only spin-off to the War of the Invulnerables, like). That's a hell of an achievement, if you think about it. But in the plot of the Invulnerable itself, yes, it's just a cool cameo.
The only thing that still leaves questions is the Tech Jacket. All the threats to the Wiltrumites that Nolan had shown looked really dangerous. But it's not very convincing yet. I hope they'll show you why they're so scary to them. Now it's just shooting lasers that don't do any damage (even to that Walking Dread guy from the beginning of the series), and a self-healing suit.
@kriptopsix: the Wiltrumites have this logic: when the plot needs it, they die, and when they don't need it, they survive)
There are some rules, but Mark is the main character, so everything will be fine with him. Although I don't dispute that if gg had just been cut out in the middle of the plot, and then switched to Oliver or Omniman, it would have been damn brave.
The world would be several orders of magnitude happier if there were such animations in the entire series. Now it's even funny from the contrast of the "png animations" and what was in this episode.
As for me, the strongest series in terms of tramaturgy also did a good job: the original comic book as a whole often raises good atypical themes, but it sometimes fell short with disclosure + it was flat and one–sided at times. In the series, the arches are deployed more interestingly after all.
The contrast is immediately visible - Mark finally stopped holding back, as Nolan demanded in the second season, and immediately turned on killer mode... The series is exactly what I expected from this season.
Holy shit, of course. That's where the money and strength have been soaked, so it's here...
The most violent fight and animation style can be seen changing (compare space and a fight on a planet). Mark was gutted like a fish, it was even slightly uncomfortable to see the guts being pulled out of him. No jokes, no monologues, the stupidly harsh slaughter of two men. Conquest shouldn't have mentioned Eve, Mark went into berserk mode)
Among other things, there are excellent dialogues in the series (which was lacking in the previous one). They're just interesting to listen to. Nolan's drama with his ex-wife and friend was a thousand times better to watch than the intrigues in Hell. Unbelievable, huh? Although the constant re-use of the same animations was slightly noticeable. And he deserved that kind of attitude. I don't even want Debbie to forgive him.
There is no agenda, they say they are replacing the male character with a female one, and we hear sarcastically sexist jokes from her mouth. Well yes well yes
Of course, I would like the authors to dilute the trope "let's show a threat through humiliation of GG" by saying that GG has somehow improved and grown. In the meantime, this is beating Mark up while everyone else is doing all the work.
The episode is excellent, just what you need after the previous filler - it was clear that Mark would strangle Conquest, he clung too well, but when all the guts came out of him... How will he be treated and healed, poor man - the Wiltrumites have almost no regeneration factor, they need to be treated in a super hospital after any serious injuries? PS. I literally read from the Jacket's body language that it was a girl, half a minute before Zoey took off her helmet (respect to the animators), but when I saw Marinka under the helmet))) Zoey is very, very similar to Marinette Ladybug, and the dubbing actress is exactly the same, so I got sick.
How cool the Art scene was, it became clear from the actor's voice and his strained smile that the man was frozen in horror from the fact that in front of him was not a hero, but a character who killed dozens of people and did not blink, and he needed to play along and not get angry and needed to be polite, and after that, As Nolan flew away, he began to suffocate and released his emotions
It's a complete mess, as if they didn't pull out all the organs for Mark, but I didn't expect such a disgusting and bloody scene, I felt uneasy, the last filler in hell was justified.
Probably the best episode of the season, but it's too early to say anything...
I won't be original, it also made my stomach turn from watching. Rough And to give Mark his due, he clung on and didn't let go until the end. The only thing that's not clear is why Conquest only started gutting Mark at the end. Such a possibility, he was always open.
Yeah... I realized a long time ago that splitting a head into 2 or more parts in this idiotic universe does not mean killing someone using the example of this Megamind or this Conquest. But... that's what son of a bitch got the idea to just STRANGLE HIM while he was digging out the entrails of 3 people. And this guy doesn't give a fuck about him at all... Here I watch everything in awe of cruelty, but the main cruelty for normal people (who have common sense) is to contemplate such nonsense and see how highly it is appreciated...
somehow, Conquest died too easily, so he can punch through the stomach, but not tear off his arms? and before that, he was superior to Mark in strength.

85But Mark will experience this, really [Title Card].

I understand this is the equivalent of the blue beetle from Disi in this universe? Only in the female version

It didn't really bother me, and I didn't even think about it.
I was more surprised when my mother opened the door for him and realized that he was outside the door when he hadn't even rung the bell yet.
2. As I understand it, they take in air and hold their breath. And then he exhaled, and Mark blocked his chance to inhale.
Mark's Beating from the Omniman
Or the gutted grandfather

//I don't know how true it is, but I read that most of the budget went to guest stars who voice the characters.
I was wrong...
