The screensaver is gorgeous. The actors are great. But the script is some kind of film adaptation of Komsomolskaya Pravda articles, in which the poster girl of the KGB and the Soviet Mary Sue nightmare the Star City, but lose in the thickness of the plot armor. Absolutely everything is messy, from the characters' personalities to the numerous storylines and even the pace of the presentation. It would be better to use this money to make a normal 5 season of FAM. And then there's some sad shit, and then there's some sad shit.
P.S. I got a kick out of the whole product placement thing, when every Soviet apartment and every security office always has a bottle of Jim Beam American bourbon.
We refrained from nailing the Comrade Colonel with a capsule, as in the Wizard of Oz. Otherwise, they can safely close it and go to the second season as soon as the card falls.
This Irina is strange. Saves some, sets others up. Valia... He left beautifully. Belikov... I framed two men in orbit. And her husband. For what? Now everyone will sit down.
@vlandus: The claims against Belikova are strange. The men in orbit are KGB officers, actually, and she saved her husband in general. He was the one who refused to give up, even though he could have crossed the border.
@vlandus: If he hadn't crossed over, the military had almost caught up with them. And Belikova drew attention to herself and bought her and Lakshmi time.
@MadSkiff: This "idiot" realized that he had protection in the form of an Indian woman on the other side. Now you won't be able to silence the event and put all the ends in the water. Perhaps even the USSR will have to publish this flight and make the cosmonauts heroes, so that there would be no scandal. That's probably what season 2 will be about, if there is. In general, the series is very crooked. They fly on rockets as if it were a truck passing from the vegetable gardens, took it, jumped in, pretended to be a sack of potatoes. Another was driving a nearby truck past the stop "5km from the border with Finland", jumped off. It's complete nonsense, you'll get tired of listing it.
To be honest, Apple's expectations were higher. Even adjusted for the base. More precisely, taking into account its first seasons and the more or less adequate USSR, although not without cranberries. And here's a solid espionage detective in a camp country.
In the end, something was just piled up... The complete nonsense started with a "quiet" launch to Venus so that no one would guess :) And then, of course, no one was going to slow down. But for some reason, it was still interesting to watch.
He was quite loyal to this series and what was happening on the screen. Episode 6 is the best, episode 7 is also normal in principle, continued the given topic. But what did they do in the eighth?! Well, this is not fiction anymore, but fairy tales. They make an idiot out of the audience...
The series is full of tragedy and idiocy. The plot is complete bullshit even by the standards of an alternate history. There's also a name like "Wolves." If there's a second season, I don't even know what it's about. Is it about a concentration camp country again and incredible efforts through thorns to the stars despite the efforts of the KGB? I don't think it will be interesting anymore.
