Pokerface is usually with me 24/7, but then he capitulated: the smile lasted the entire episode without a single chance to retreat. The honeymoon in the frame: these looks, this awe, this depth of feelings ... Everything worked out as it should — emotions over the edge!
Even jealousy looked so charming that it only enhanced the sensual atmosphere. And those vibes of Fan Xiao 😅: "If we're going to sink, who will you save first?"
@innsight: I also remembered about Fan Xiao, and I thought that Yi Yichen would answer that no one. But no, you have to save your brother, he's not a cheating lover. 😄
After the photo, which Yichen called the only proof of his and Lu Feng's happy life, I was sitting on pins and needles, waiting for a shovel to hit our foreheads... and how surprised I am that the scriptwriters felt sorry for us and pulled the cotton candy all the way to the credits.
Of course, the bells have already been scattered: Zhuo Lan and the testament of old man Lu are two harbingers of the apocalypse.
But I selfishly allowed myself to rest my soul in this episode. Even despite Yichen's voiceover, which constantly reminded that all this was just a short honey pit stop on the way to disaster.
I guess the first crack between Yichen and Lu Feng may be their different attitudes towards the relationship itself. Lu Feng is eager to tell every dog in the area that they are together. He doesn't want to live in the shadows and conform to the expectations of others.
And here I see one curious detail. Lu Feng grew up being judged by his father, who tried to control his life. He's used to holding his own and swimming against the current. While Yichen grew up in care, love and support. And I think confrontation is not the state he's used to.
Hence his suggestion, which he voiced to Lu Feng: do not get into trouble and just wait for time until everything settles down.
Yichen is more careful and gentle in this regard. Actually, just like in their first attempt to build a relationship. Lu Feng was focused on their personal world, barely noticing anything around them, while Yichen was constantly thinking about the outside world, worried about what others would say and how it would affect them.
That's why I remember his reaction to his friend's words of support over dinner. He honestly admitted that he did not fully understand such a relationship, but if Yichen was happy, then nothing else mattered.
And these words also seemed very sincere to me, precisely because they did not contain abstract slogans or attempts to say the usual thing that love has no boundaries. My friend wasn't talking about love in general, he was talking specifically about Yichen, whom he knows and wants to support.
Yi Yichen was so happy at that moment that this scene made my heart warm, even though the voiceover monologue carefully reminded me not to drown in delusions.:
"These words were uttered with such sincerity that my heart ached. He understood that our tenacity had nothing to rely on. Our love was the only thing we were sure of. But nowadays, even love has become a lonely battle. And Lu Feng is the strongest warrior in this war."
Well, if Yichen said that the photo from the festival was the only confirmation that he and Lu Feng were happy at that moment... then we need to preserve these memories as well.
@HaiLouYin: Ichen's voice—over penetrates with a chilling chill, as if he has already plunged into this abyss of horror, and for now he only gives us fragile fragments of a bright past.
@innsight: Yes, and it's such an alarming thing. I don't forget that I'm walking on thin ice anyway, but when I'm reminded that everything that's happening right now is Yichen's memories, it only gets harder. It feels like he's trying to figure out if these brief glimpses of happiness were worth what it's all going to lead to.
@HaiLouYin: this caring monologue also broke me off) but on the other hand, again, the scriptwriters take care of us, if it weren't for the voiceover, then my face would have cracked, but no, no, I was relaxing my muscles)
@HaiLouYin: I agree, perhaps, I am also pleasantly shocked by this generosity, the series is bright, there is a lot of comfort and warmth. They seem to be preparing for severe pain (>_<)
@HaiLouYin: I also wanted to take my brother by the scruff of the neck for half the episode and push him away and say, "Well, where are you going?! Don't stop us from enjoying the beautiful moments."
@88Iriska88: That's it. And I'm sure there's definitely more than one bathroom in such an apartment. And my brother went to exactly where Lu Feng was washing, he had to do it at the wrong time.
@innsight: Moreover, he went in unsuccessfully for us and the guys, but rather the opposite for himself.I screwed up everything with my brother and Lu Feng, but then I had a great time with Qin Lang, catching the right wave.
@88Iriska88: Yeah, my brother, of course, well done... two birds with one stone 🫠 I really got a little rattled from the way he famously recharged after what I saw😅
Well, according to tradition , the sinister face of Lu Feng 😅 I decided to leave my speculations for last
I can't help but feel goosebumps in the scene where he ties his apron.
Lu Feng's face changes so abruptly when Yichen looks away that I just can't ignore it.
My eyes immediately become so cold that I instantly lose touch with the context of the scene. There is still a warm and funny atmosphere around me, but anxiety is resuming inside me.
@id771985631: If they're not together, then you won't have anything else to watch. This will be the end of the series.
The path to their future together will not be easy, and the decision will be painful. Theoretically, the story may end tragically, but I hope that the Chinese screenwriters will not allow this.
Damn, I've seen a lot of scenes like I'm going to tie your apron in TV shows, and my brain automatically reads it as something touching. But here, sometimes my eyes and heart don't match at all. Lu Feng can stand still and smile, and then a faint shadow passes over his face, and I feel creepy.
This story gives me an emotional swing on some completely different level.
@HaiLouYin: they swing us on swings worse than roller coasters. You know how to rock "in the sun" or "before knocking" (if you had such a thing in childhood). Emotions over the edge
@innsight: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Please stop me, I'm having a tantrum!!!! The long wait must have taken its toll. I'll "respect" the weekend, I could only watch it at 12 at night!
If they're not together, then you won't have anything else to watch. This will be the end of the series.
I watched half of the series in one go. I hope the scriptwriters smooth out the corners and the ending will be good. If they follow the canon, we're fucked.
Girls and boys!!! I've seen all the previews, my advice to you from the bottom of my heart is to stock up on "magnesium", we'll take it out on Friday, and on Saturday we'll have to uncork the artillery more heavily- otherwise we won't take it out. And, oh Gods! How does Lu Feng look good in his new brutal image...and coupled with the manic look, it's just a dump of everything, my knees are already buckling
@HaiLouYin: But I'm ready. I'm so tired of groundhog Day in my life that any emotions that go beyond my everyday life seem magical to me. I'm ready to absorb all the pain of this series.

Lu Feng:
"aren't you going to do anything about it?"
Qin Lan:
– 🤷🏻

I'm not sure I'm ready, though... but once I fit in, there's no turning back. 😁
I didn't look at it that way at all... that's it, now I'm ready 😁
