Pokerface is usually with me 24/7, but then he capitulated: the smile lasted the entire episode without a single chance to retreat. The honeymoon in the frame: these looks, this awe, this depth of feelings ... Everything worked out as it should — emotions over the edge!

Even jealousy looked so charming that it only enhanced the sensual atmosphere. And those vibes of Fan Xiao 😅: "If we're going to sink, who will you save first?"

After the photo, which Yichen called the only proof of his and Lu Feng's happy life, I was sitting on pins and needles, waiting for a shovel to hit our foreheads... and how surprised I am that the scriptwriters felt sorry for us and pulled the cotton candy all the way to the credits.

I guess the first crack between Yichen and Lu Feng may be their different attitudes towards the relationship itself. Lu Feng is eager to tell every dog in the area that they are together. He doesn't want to live in the shadows and conform to the expectations of others.

And here I see one curious detail. Lu Feng grew up being judged by his father, who tried to control his life. He's used to holding his own and swimming against the current. While Yichen grew up in care, love and support. And I think confrontation is not the state he's used to.

Hence his suggestion, which he voiced to Lu Feng: do not get into trouble and just wait for time until everything settles down.

Yichen is more careful and gentle in this regard. Actually, just like in their first attempt to build a relationship.
Lu Feng was focused on their personal world, barely noticing anything around them, while Yichen was constantly thinking about the outside world, worried about what others would say and how it would affect them.

That's why I remember his reaction to his friend's words of support over dinner. He honestly admitted that he did not fully understand such a relationship, but if Yichen was happy, then nothing else mattered.

And these words also seemed very sincere to me, precisely because they did not contain abstract slogans or attempts to say the usual thing that love has no boundaries. My friend wasn't talking about love in general, he was talking specifically about Yichen, whom he knows and wants to support.

Yi Yichen was so happy at that moment that this scene made my heart warm, even though the voiceover monologue carefully reminded me not to drown in delusions.:

I watched half of the series in one go. I hope the scriptwriters smooth out the corners and the ending will be good. If they follow the canon, we're fucked.
