I haven't read the book, I can't compare it, and why. As the author herself wrote, if Miss Jane Austen had seen this book, she would also have nodded and said that she would have written better)) In principle, you can watch it once. The main thing that can be taken from this version, imho - slippery as a slug, nasty, womanizer, but definitely charming and most faithful to the canon Wickham (Matthew Goode) . P.S. Darcy's scene with her sister - allowing her to marry the one she loves, is still very pleasant. Austen would have approved.
