@Trinada: he would have been lost just like his daughter, One-eyed Joe could have saved the girl himself, but he wanted death and deliverance, so he asked to be replaced by him and saved his daughter himself.
@RobertAngier: And why didn't One-eyed Joe find a gun or a knife all these years, go into this room and kill himself if he wanted to? And when they were alone with the protagonist in the room, the protagonist had a gun.
@artuska: He said that when one item is destroyed, it is replaced by another. I don't remember the exact wording, but the point is to conserve energy, it can't just disappear. maybe it was possible to move the energy of One-Eyed Joe into the same knife or pistol, but here history is silent, because there is a complete lack of details and explanations
Somehow it's not finished. Why it all happened like that has remained a mystery. The wife of that Negro was never dragged out of the 9th room. And what's next with Ligion and this,, prophet,,? And what kind of object has he become now? In general, there are many questions. But the series is interesting.
@NICK_WINCHESTER: I agree. But they could have planned a second season, but in the end the series was not renewed. If that's the case, then it's a pity.
The most confusing series I've seen, interesting and stimulating to watch the next episode. I liked the plot, but I would like more background of the room and objects. I wish there were more such series) By the way, what if the series is on, it's just that the episodes come out like the BBC's Sherlock? We are waiting for the next three episodes in a couple of years 😂
@dandits: well, then it's too much to shoot episodes once every 10 years) no, unfortunately the series is over, although there are still a lot of questions. Maybe that's the whole point
The best series of this format that I've seen. Stylish, exciting and extremely unrealistic. I strongly recommend it to everyone, since there are only 3 one-and-a-half-hour episodes here. The best thing is to look at work, for example:)
This is just an awesome series!! Wildly delighted after watching it. Of course, I would like to continue, but I can't hope for it, so..we will review this masterpiece :) The plot is very exciting, I wanted to watch it over and over again.. The main character is a dream! Ah, I burst into tears at the end when he saved his daughter after all. In general, it's a hell of a series, I advise everyone =))
And, here's another thing, I don't get it — if One-Eyed Joe was so disgusted with all the objects from the room, then why didn't he start collecting them? He would have collected them all, put them in the room and that's it, there is no noise in his head from objects. And then I would also throw the key into the room and voila (although I completely did not understand what it meant when the door opened at the very end and the key was lying on the floor).
@artuska: as I understood it, they wanted to show that they would get rid of the objects. And it can be assumed that One-Eyed Joe knew this, and therefore did not do so.
I think this means that you can't get rid of the objects, as mentioned above. An open door with a key will sooner or later be found either by left-wing people, or through a Chinese woman in the laundry, like a vicious circle with these objects. I'm more interested in whether the objects that were attached to the door and the eye returned to the room? 🤔
But I don't quite understand the other thing.One-eyed Joe said that he was not directly involved in all this, i.e. he did not create it, but became the same object as everyone in this room. However, from Joe, we become aware of the fact that when chapters. If the hero kills him, he will take the place of the object instead of the one-eyed one. It follows from this that Joe took someone's place, and if we take into account the fact that he had a wife who does not remember him, then this only confirms everything. So the main question for me is not the very appearance of the room and objects, but what happened to one-eye, why did he become an object?
@katric: One-eyed said that it is the law that if one object disappears, another appears. One-eyed Joe didn't have to kill the previous guest. He is the first guest. But he could have, for example, matches or the same comb, which could be broken and destroyed within the room. And instead of them, another object appeared. It was enough for him to understand that the comb stops time, to leave the room, to see that the comb does not break. Buy a new comb, go into the room, break the old one and discover the properties of the old comb on the new one. Or do it with any other object. What is more surprising is that no one has stolen the sheets yet. If there were actions in Russia, they would have stolen it in the first place)
@spyfromfranik: Wow, your comment is like another object for me. I came here (for the first time) to read the comments after watching, and I got hooked on the phrase about sheets and Russia, because I had already read it somewhere before downloading the series (stuck in my head precisely because of its absurdity, because of a misunderstanding of the connection, what does the series, Russia and sheets have to do with it), I thought it was in the comments on lostfilm. I killed half an hour, I found a headache, I didn't find a comment, but I found a lot of all sorts of theories, thanks for the adventure years later :D
When we looked through the slide with the photo at the place where the tenth room should be, we saw an elderly man, and eventually found a young one. What?
It's a good series, yes. If it wasn't for the main character. Although there is only one claim to the hero - where he was taught to point a cannon at people with the words: "Calm down"? What? But an actor... This face, untouched by intelligence and a moist mouth, froze and distracted throughout the action. So if a sequel comes out, hopefully without Peter Krause's involvement. But it was nice to look at Peter Jacobson ^^ I immediately remembered House, and his jokes :)

I would have liked it better if GG had saved Anna, and he had been lost forever in the rooms and everyone had forgotten about him, except maybe Anna and... Oh my God, I don't remember her name. Juliet?
It's a great series. What pleases me the most is the number of episodes) Such tension and fierce interest from beginning to end. It's a gorgeous thing. I will advise my friends! Now I just wonder where this room came from and why, and how it all started... But in any case, an open ending is better than a disappointing ending.
It was a little surprising all the way how easily and joyfully everyone parted with their dear things, starting from the dude with the comb and ending with the Negro who gave the film with the film and the librarian who got rid of the photo.
But somehow I'm not sorry that there is no continuation. I'm afraid that if they had developed further, the explanation of the appearance of the room and the objects would have disappointed me. And so it's just a good story with the adventures of heroes) And the objects are interesting.
A happy ending for the heroes and an open one for the motel! It is very inspiring and makes you think about riddles. Maybe someone will shoot a sequel/backstory one day)))) It's really strange how many "experts", collectors, fanatics and users there were! It is unclear how for so many years no one has come to any conclusions, and only the main character managed to more or less "assemble the puzzle picture". It's unclear why he didn't explode in the room! It is unclear why everything happened in room 10, and the items were brought at 8! If there are several rooms, perhaps we were talking about parallel universes, space-time curvatures))) It looks like the films Hypercube and Interstellar and the dualism of the universes of the series The Edge could very well explain the actions of objects and the rupture of matter when opening a room by experiment)))
Why, after Joe became an object, did no one forget him? In general, I like it better when a movie ends unfinished. The explanation invented by the screenwriters may disappoint me, but never my own fantasy.
@Tracktor: I also wondered what would happen if I went out the window. Or if the wall is broken through / disassembled. Another option is with a stretched rope under the door, a hole in the door, etc. You can experiment for a long time)
@Tracktor: From the very beginning, when the hero got into the room, the first thing that came to mind was to try to get out of the window! How could they not try it once??
And who has what version of the explanation of the room and objects? It led me to these thoughts: in fact, one-eyed Eddie (by the way, maybe the eye is not glass? maybe someone especially smart picked it out of Eddie when he experimented with the properties of objects and tortured him for the truth, and he seems to be made of glass because he is indestructible, like all objects? :))) ) So, one-eyed Eddie is actually from a parallel universe in which he was married, and the motel had room 10. For some reason, number 10 fell into "our" universe (for example, military experiments, as usual, or some kind of natural cataclysm with wormholes, etc.), where Eddie was never born, so no one remembers him. This may explain why Joe is remembered by everyone, even though he has become an object, apparently. Due to the transfer to another reality, objects acquired all their strange properties, and the room itself looped around for some seconds before / during the movement (judging by the constant "reboot" when closing and opening). And since the room must have a physical location, it is constantly located both in 1961 (since it is looped in time) and in a parallel universe (since objects lose their properties inside, obviously the doorway is a conditional wormhole). And according to one theory of parallel universes, they exist at the same time, but in different milliseconds, like blinking. Then it could be explained that after closing the door, the room turns out to be entirely in a parallel universe, where locked people (the hero's daughter) remain, and when opened, the room turns out to be in our universe, so even though the girl is inside, she is not visible, because she is not in that phase of "blinking". So Joe had to become an object himself in order to be able to be in both phases of "blinking". That's the idea))
@Scheusalwirt: wow, what I was thinking about but couldn't explain in normal words, it just turned out like, "well, do you remember how in the Doctor and in the Verge at the same time"))
@Scheusalwirt: The One-eyed Man became an Object and everyone forgot about him because he was in the room at the time of the Event. Joe did not become an Object at the time of the Event, so everyone remembers about him :))
@Scheusalwirt: This is very similar to the real version of the origin of the room. Maybe the authors of the series thought about it? :) In general, the series really does resemble the Edge in some way.
@Scheusalwirt: Have you tried writing scripts? If not, please try it! Your version is head and shoulders better than all the ill-conceived rubbish that has been filmed lately)
@Locus_Locust: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! <3<3<3 offtop - I used to write not scripts, but network prose , and now I edit other people's scripts for games)))
In some ways, this series reminded me of the literary series Ethnogenesis. There, too, everyone is running after each other, killing for items and collecting them. Similarly, objects do not allow their owners to live in peace. I think now I know where the authors of the books first got the idea for such a plot :D
Everyone is complaining. that the mystery of room number 10 has not been solved and what happened in it, but it seems to me that this is the whole idea :) An excellent painting! The end with the open door of room 8 is simply amazing
One of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Of course, I would have kept the key for myself (even after everything that happened), but the ending is really amazing
as far as I remember, they performed all the actions with room 9, and then gg decides on the 8th, at the end of 8 it opens. It made me think that so season 2 was about room 8, and gg would be the one who found the key👀
I really liked the series. There are so many secrets with this room. And when it became known about the guest, it gave me goosebumps. Still, the idea is excellent.
What the fuck? Where is the second season? Although it's actually a good thing that he's not here. No matter how much I wanted to know about the Event, and suddenly it would disappoint me, they would come up with some bullshit, and then you would live with this knowledge. And so there is an ending and a mystery remains, because the main goal is to save the daughter, and not to forget about everything. And okay with this Event, but why did gg move to room 8, and his daughter still remembers him after everything that happened. The owners of the Objects are kind of strange: they seem to kill for the Object, but they don't mind helping to the extent that they can part with it. Although I liked all of them except the Order, even if they are villains. The dude with the ticket is generally the kindest creature, and the Weasel is just an adventurer. You watch and you don't know who's going to do what kind of shit. Turn by turn, a great series!
After watching the series, I have only one question - what was it? I really love the genre of fiction, but here the authors obviously overdid it and did not understand what they were shooting about. I had approximate feelings after watching LOST. I remember watching the first seasons with a sigh, waiting for the solution of the previous mysteries in the new series. And what was my disappointment when, with each new season after the opening of the bunker, the series got worse and worse, and the writers themselves got confused in the nonsense that they filmed. It seems to me that the same thing happened with the "Lost Room". A great start to the story, really unusual. A very confusing story of the disappearance of the daughter of the main character. And it could be very cool to beat, to make it delicious....But no, it didn't work out! What was the point of implicating religion here, where did these things come from, who created them, why did these things go to certain people, why are these things sold like lots under the hammer, if they are so fucking important, like a dude, in an office environment he inserted his eye, what kind of cancer did he fuck up his slate nerve!? Are you drooling? And if the properties of the objects in the room itself don't work, then why didn't Carl die immediately from a direct shot to the chest? Point blank! Why, Carl, why!? And what upset me the most was the absolutely dreary ending! Just about nothing! "The law of conservation of objects", f*ck... Fart - and nothing more! Don't get fooled by the ratings and don't waste time on this dreary sight
When I started watching the first episode, I didn't think that I would watch the series until the end. But I watched the remaining two episodes in one go. It is a pity that there will be no continuation
Xs, I didn't like it. Apart from a really good idea, there is nothing here that is worthy of attention. And somehow that's it.. lean, or something. Unclosed storylines, illogical actions of the characters, the disgusting play of the main actor (once again I am convinced that Peter Krause is an actor like I am a ballerina). Well, the cherry on the cake is the fastest possible ending. It feels like they wanted to end on the third episode at all costs, spitting on explanations, etc.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't understand a lot) Apparently, a second season was definitely needed here to answer a lot of questions! I didn't understand why my wife doesn't remember this one-eyed man and no one remembers, but the main character, after he himself became an object, is remembered by both his daughter and madame (I don't remember the name)
I really liked the series. It's been a long time since I've watched anything with such interest and tension. It is a pity, of course, that much remains in question and one can only guess))
I'm also worried about this thing, why does he have another daughter here in the picture for the series, and not Elle Fanning? Or am I wrong?
There are a lot of unanswered questions, but it's terribly interesting :( The ending, as for me, would be better dramatic, like in Silent Hill (like with a split reality, very creepy and sad, as for me)
Many, many years after watching the Room, I find the supernatural "highlight" of the Control video game, released exclusively in 2019, and then on other platforms in the summer of 2020, quite similar. One of the features of Control is the so-called power items or modified items that give a potential user (para-elite) supernatural abilities. In addition to objects, the game repeatedly has to use a light switch (like a floor lamp), hanging simply from the ceiling and working according to the rule of three. Now the interesting thing is: after the switch, the user is always transported to a motel called Oceanview, which is not on maps, the globe, and in understanding the passage of time. Once there, the player needs to solve a puzzle (each time a new one), usually related to the placement of objects in other rooms and their matching the same position in each. After that, keys appear in one of the rooms, with which you need to return to the beginning of the hotel and use the light switch according to the same rule of three. It is impossible to leave the hotel through the entrance doors, as well as to look through the windows.
It's a very good series. An interesting, unusual plot, vivid acting work. And in general, applause for the entire film crew! In some ways, the idea resembles the literary project "SCP Foundation". But this is only a plus.
Well, if the first two episodes are still watchable, then the finale is a complete mess. The series begins to contradict itself. If everyone forgot about object 1, then why, when gg became an object, did no one forget about it? They have already written about cutting out an eye in front of a mirror, but it was hindered by the same religious fanatics as collectors from the film (well, or parishioners of the Russian Orthodox Church). In general, the final was disappointing. And indeed, the whole series is on a rolling track. All their lives, the owners of objects cherish them like the apple of their eye and kill them without question if someone encroaches on them, but if you just ask them for an object, even without a return condition, they meekly give it all away. Brilliant!)
Visually, the picture is very outdated, there is no atmosphere. It was like turning on an old kinescope TV and stuck in despair at what was being shown.😄📺
I also succumbed to the ratings a la "the best TV series of the forgotten years". Well, that kind of thing. The idea is normal, the whole motel and the objects are both from the Control and SCP universe, there are so many interesting and creepy stories with them. But here the story itself, in fact, is almost absent, the whole series is collecting mcgafins, which does not lead to any special climax. They did not explain or tell anything: there is no tie from the 61st, there is no logic of the objects' action, what is so terrible about this experiment, it is not clear why these objects on the door worked, what they did, what happened to this woman, what kind of dude this guest is, why he was there, what happened, what is his "objectness", why there are many Rooms and why GG so easily immediately went out to his daughter ... Nothing is said about the Guest at all. Apparently, it is assumed that in the end we should somehow sympathize with his "frozen" in the real world, and rejoice at his deliverance, but we do not know anything about him at all. The situation of GG is also absolutely unclear - what happened to him and whether it happened, how he will continue to exist. That he finished there - hundreds of objects are still lying around the country. I don't mind when there is an understatement in mystery series, but there is not an understatement, there is simply no clear plot basis. The feeling that the idea was invented, but how to finish it is not.
I watched the series with the same delight as the first time It is a pity that there is no explanation, BUT! It makes you show imagination) I understand that Carl (the man who wanted to resurrect his son, with an eye inserted) took the place of a woman from room 9, and once room 9 disappeared when Joe (gg) became an object (although why was he not forgotten? 🤔 ), then there are 8 of them left, therefore, the man without an eye, from the psychiatric hospital, is not the first "master", since he was in room 9. Or I'm dumb and I didn't catch something.. I understand that every change of "owner" is a minus room And once the key has respawned (appeared again), then the story will go, in a certain way, in a circle
And where did the prophet of objects go? What is it for anyway? And what happened to the legion? With collectors? Are there any more items left, are they working? Why didn't the main character's memories disappear and how did the previous person become an object? Why did the room appear and disappear in the first place? The series is interesting, but there are more questions than answers. I don't think we need a new season, but we could shoot another episode so that we don't throw it like that 🤬
It's a great series. I regret that I missed it at the time. I really like the SCP theme and there is a real treasure trove here. It is a pity that there are few TV series / films of this concept. I even liked the understatement, because chewing would result in several not very interesting seasons, it seems to me.
The series is just fire🔥 It looks from top to bottom without stopping. There were so many confusing subjects, and it was so disturbing to the end whether the daughter would get out of the room or not. And I was so glad to see them together after restarting the room.🥳 I definitely recommend it to everyone to watch, it's worth it🙂
A wildly strange series, but interesting. It's a pity there wasn't a second season. The plot with the girl is over, but there are more questions than answers and there was clearly a hint of a sequel.
In general, there are many questions. But the series is interesting.
and so in general I liked it, the plot is not broken)
I liked the plot, but I would like more background of the room and objects. I wish there were more such series)

I have no more words...
