Katie Cassidy is somehow unrecognizable (although I remember her from supernatural and arrow, and here she is clearly younger). the plot is pretty mediocre, but watchable.
According to the description of the series, I thought the island would be more deserted, and there are a lot of people there besides those who arrived :)
The pilot turned out to be quite strange. So far, there is not even a hint of horror, as indicated in the genre. And according to the poster with the description, I thought there would be something more atmospheric, or something, right there the beginning of the series looks like a typical melodrama, and corpses and murders seem to be out of place.
In general, it's still interesting to twist, although the murder of Uncle Marty is really nothing much.. The killer cut off half of him, and he was afraid to jump off.. Well, somehow.. Nevertheless, I like it so far..
Uhm. I'm surprised Uncle Marty was the first. Of all the characters shown, he seemed to me the most interesting character, and he was an excellent one for a conflict with the bride's father.
I want to warn those who are just starting to watch. "Harper's Island" is not "ten little niggers", although the description is very similar. This series is much closer in spirit to "I know what you did last summer." A typical slasher, with all its advantages and disadvantages. There is a standard maniac story with simple plot twists, there are silly characters who sometimes run into the killer's knife themselves and there are pretentious, bloody murders in order to tickle the nerves of the viewer. But with all this, "Harper's Island" is not a bad youth horror movie.
If you change your mind about watching the first episodes, watch them) the last episodes are very intriguing. I agree that there are a lot of crazy moments, in terms of murders and inconsistencies, but oh... The denouement of this is worth🤪 not 5, but a solid 4😇
The atmosphere of "I know what you did last summer" and the first parts of "Scream". People die quickly and badly, and the villain will probably be the most peaceful character. Cheap, boring, predictable.
The killer, of course, has a very rich imagination) Although it's strange that no one noticed the huge bloodstain on the water, but let's put it down to the conventions of the genre)
Oh, this Chloe) it seems stupid, and it's so stupid to miss a marriage proposal)
The main character said that she would go alone through the forest, and they just let her go. Everyone drove by car, and at least someone would keep her company.
In general, it's an interesting story, a lot of people, you even get lost in guessing who can kill whom and for what. I also thought that there would only be wedding guests on the island, but it turns out they live there. We look further
I approached the viewing with a positive attitude, but without high expectations. murders on the island, interesting poster, lots of characters, everything looks good. but by the middle of the first episode, it finally became clear that this could not be taken seriously. The characters and the events are like something out of "Santa Barbara" or "The Rich Cry Too" or whatever it was. At the moment of "Hunter, I'm getting married," I finally gave up, started laughing, and couldn't stop. I wouldn't be surprised if the bride's father soon proved to her that her fiance is her lost sibling. it is possible to watch, but there is only irony to turn on 110%.

Not to say that I was wildly impressed by the pilot, but I will not quit. Ten little niggers in a new way?
I didn't see any horror or thriller here
and how can you tear off half of a person so easily ?
