I thought he hanged himself at the end or something. But they didn't say anything specific. Let's see what happens next.

Janet King and some other characters of the series "Crownies" are fighting crime and corruption again. Cases are becoming more serious, larger and more dangerous, and the investigations she leads affect the interests of major politicians, government officials and heads of law enforcement agencies. And they are not going to stay away.

This series is a mature, heavier and, consequently, boring sequel to the cheerful and dynamic "Crownies". There were long passages, meaningful glances, and all sorts of drawn-out scenes-the hackneyed and depressing attributes of "real serious" cinema. The harsh drama is fueled by more significant cases fraught with major scandals, extremely influential parties involved, and threats to the personal safety of the main characters and their loved ones. The judicial and legal side has given way to the classics - undercover intrigues, interdepartmental conflicts and political games. The characters have more emotions, pathos and moralizing, less professionalism and common sense. The plots have become more contrived and one-dimensional. Season 3 was quite disappointing.

It was staged and shot well. But more or less, the unbalanced throwing of the iron heroine Martha Duessdorp seemed a little controversial, not to mention her egocentrism, hypocrisy and even some dishonesty. Other characters are pretty formulaic. It turned out to be a very ordinary series, noticeably more traditional than "Crownies", and much less lively, natural and intense. In my opinion, it's a failure.

Language. It's not terribly difficult to speak, but sometimes it's fast, and occasionally there were characters with very unintelligible pronunciation. I recommend subtitles.
