The story of the new-old neighbors, of course, is intriguing, but one thing confuses me. The idea is pushed that Julie and Dylan were inseparable friends, the connection between them was like between sisters. Plus, Julie has a lot of clear memories of this time and it's strange for her that her girlfriend doesn't remember much. But it was mentioned somewhere that 12 years have passed. Why, girls were at most 5 years old at that time. It is not surprising that memories can be vague and jerky or almost absent. For example, I also barely remember myself and my surroundings at this age. And Julie's statement "This is not that girl" also causes confusion, how can you seriously say such a thing - the last time you saw little girls, now you are both almost adult girls.
