Yes, this series just struck me! I was especially impressed with how Mark Ryder was embodied in Cesare Borgia, it was so strong that it sometimes took my breath away! It's very nice that the series has reached its logical conclusion, unlike the Canadian version, and it's nice that at the end the actors told about the fate of their characters, which gives the series a greater share of credibility. But the question still remains - what did the authors of the series want to say by showing Cesare on the shores of America? That Cesare did not die, but deliberately staged his death "Aut Caesar, aut nihil", thereby putting nothing about which he spoke before the attack? It's hard to believe, no matter how much I would like to. But in my understanding, the scene where Cesare steps onto the shores of the New World is the memory of Cesare in our minds, which does not go out even after more than five hundred years...

@ira_litvinenko: Истинный Государь не должен быть психом. А такие, как Чезаре в этом сериале, просто обречены на крушение всех планов и раннюю смерть. Макиавелли тоже мог ошибаться - либо герой всё-таки ближе к легендам, чем к реальности.
Выбирала, какой из двух сериалов смотреть, мне посоветовали эту версию. Борджиа с Джереми Айронсом я не видела, но могу сказать, что я в ликом восторге от этой версии! Потом начала гуглить всех персонажей и ещё сильнее мне понравилось, что актеры очень похоже подобрали к их историческим прототипам. Особенно Чезаре.
Разговор Агапито и Лукреции такой трогательный((( Эпилог очень понравился, здорово было узнать, как жили герои дальше, как сложилась их судьба, ещё и увидеть актёров в жизни, без грима...Но, конечно, Чезаре на берегах Америки -- это слишком) Спасибо, хоть не в космосе, что ли))
Сериал про отморозка - и сериал, который претендовал прежде всего на историчность, ДОЛЖЕН БЫЛ закончиться смертью главного героя. Надо же было сочинить такую чепуху в финале... )) В целом, конечно, довольно реалистичная вещь и не занудная. Но... кхм... на любителя.
