@mixvaer: The bomb season and the bomb finale! No superheroes, but it looks in one go. And the atmosphere, and the acting, and the plot - everything pleased me!
Most likely not, since this series was a replacement for Agent S.H.I.E.L.D. while they are in hiatus for a long time and the ratings are not so good.
At the end of December 2014, Michele Fazekas, the executive producer of the series, announced that the series would most likely end after the first season. This will happen after Howard Stark creates the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization in the story, which Peggy Carter will join.
Here's what Michele Fazekas said in her interview for the EW portal:
"This will be essentially the last thing that happens in the series. We will never see S.H.I.E.L.D. in this show. So, in some way, this will be the end of the series." However, if the eight episodes of the first season are well received by the viewing audience, ABC will most likely look for ways to expand the plot in order to bring it back for the second season.
Wow! We finished it well! They left enough tails to make a second season in a good situation, but at the same time they rounded off this one. Peggy is just gorgeous! And it's very cool that she was beaten a little bit at first, but on the other hand, she could withstand so many blows with a bat! Thompson passed out after the first one, but you can't say that the doctor hit harder. It's a pity that none of the enemies were killed. And Dottie survived, and so did the doctor. And who else did you communicate with using a typewriter? In general, there is a lot to develop the topic. Let's hope for a continuation.
@smoking_bitch: Black Widow was born sometime in 1983-84, and Dottie was in a girls' camp as early as 1937, which means she was born around 1925, i.e. at the time of giving birth she would have been under 60 :) Of course, I understand everything, but it's very unlikely. Maybe Grandma? :)
I couldn't stand it, I looked with subs. The series is good, there's a lot of action. I especially liked the moment when Peggy tried to bring Stark out of hypnosis and the last moment on the bridge to tears. A decent last episode. As mentioned above, there are loopholes for a sequel that is not planned, but I'm still waiting. Overall, I really liked the series.
- I know my own worth. And I don't care about the opinions of others.
It was a great ending! How am I going to believe that I will continue it after all... Such atmospheric shows are so lacking... the scene with the microphone and on the bridge is so simple to tears. The fight with Dottie is expensive, there was a lot of action... but this final cameo was a little shocking... Who would have thought that Arnim Zola himself would appear? And I'm a little thrilled that Angie and Peggy will be living together))) They left a lot of clues for further continuation. And the enemies are all alive, and Leviathan has not been revealed. And the humor is quite British, especially in the performance of Jarvis :)
And even more so, after reading the interviews of the producers of the series, there was even more hope for a sequel, as they said that the ratings had risen over the past four episodes.
Great ending and there's hope for a second season *I want to* When I started watching, I didn't expect the series to be so cool. I'm far from a fan of Captain America and the stories related to him, but the series has really sunk into my soul. It's all the fault of Carter and Jarvis' wonderful bromance.))
It's a great show, I like Hayley's acting. And in the finale, the moments with Captain America are right up to tears. I'm really looking forward to season 2. If they don't extend it, they'll be idiots.
An exciting finale. But the blood of a super soldier in the Hudson River?! (or the bay) Is that how Aquaman appeared?)) Although, most likely, the drops of blood were washed up by the wind and smeared on the bridge just below the place where Peggy stands. Dottie is annoyingly thin for a super spy, and her clothes won't fit like they do on her. And Peggy Milaha. One of the most charming female characters in TV series that I know.
PLEASE EXTEND IT, OTHERWISE I WON'T FORGIVE YOU. the moment of Peggy's conversation with Stark, who was flying on an airplane, was pleased, a kind of reference to Peggy's last conversation with Cap. It's touching.
But it was funny to me, and now I have an excuse for all occasions) "Why did you do that?" - Because I'm Russian Without further ado, everything is short and clear)
But I want to sing a hymn to Jarvis, because he is beautiful! I wish, of course, that this was not the end of the matter, the series became more interesting from the second half of the season.
maybe so that no one could use it for insidious purposes? it's very logical and thoughtful, just the same. No emotions. but yours should be kept. there are obvious problems with this
According to the canon, Peggy should have kept the blood. After organizing the Shield, she would be stolen by a Cat and used on his daughter Felicia Hardy, making her a Black Cat (an episodic partner of Spider-Man)
So what I mean is, there are so many potential possibilities - in fact, it is a universal platform for almost all diseases and genetic modification for innate immunity from everything that is possible.
@dezmond774: I don't recall doing any tests, which means that it might not have been Steve's blood at all... Spider-Man is moving into the Marvel cinematic universe, and we haven't had a Black Cat in any movie yet! A coincidence? I don't think so!
A wonderful ending. The series is great overall, I'm just thrilled. I liked Peggy's conversation with Stark at the end. Jarvis is just the most wonderful character. The characters in this series are logical and well-written. Even though my favorite couple is Peggy/Steve, but I'd like to see more of Peggy/Suze. And I liked the plot, it's not too overloaded, there's a lot of humor and just nice moments, especially with Jarvis :3
I believe that she poured out the blood and thus finally said goodbye to him, let him go. She began to live a different life without him, because the whole series showed us how she remembered him every day, missed him, and his name just haunted her) well, in the end, she would have done so that his blood would not fall into the wrong hands, so that there would not be another one like the red skull. I agree with the fact that they did not deliver the season, everything was in moderation.
Cap's blood is not a guarantee of new heroes. Without Erskine's formula, his blood is just a nudge in the right direction, but not a full-fledged serum. We remember the comics - there were weak superheroes from his blood. They were able to do something, but for a very short time, and therefore they carried rings temporarily enabling and disabling abilities.
The final episode is very good. I especially liked the moment where Peggy pours blood. You could feel the atmosphere of farewell right through the screen, and the music, the actor's performance, and the surrounding environment helped. Overall, I really liked the series. I don't even want to continue, because I've enjoyed these 8 episodes... And the continuation of the series can destroy the first impression. Unfortunately, I don't want that.
The series turned out to be not bad, but it lacks scale - the most important intelligence service in the country, and they do business like some kind of tech. department with extended rights.
The short film was clearly not consistent with the plot of the series - it seems that the SHIELD has already been created./Well, Peggy's still in the SSR "out of pity.".
Why couldn't Dottie and the doctor have been killed at once? Oh, right, we're not looking for easy ways, even though the fate of the whole city depends on it.
And putting two evil doctors together is just a brilliant idea.
Actually, I liked the show. Although Peggy is not the most beloved character from the universe, it was interesting to watch her. I hope that there will be a second season, and they will show the creation of the Shield.
I'd be blown away if I got hit on the back like that))) And she really deserved the applause at the end. She received the recognition and respect of her colleagues.)
The season turned out great. The atmosphere is sustained, the plot is interesting) We are waiting for the sequel!)
I've never been a fan of Captain America that much, but this conversation between Stark and Peggy almost brought me to tears. I hope that Peggy will be really happy when she gets married, because she deserves it.
This is a series that I want to watch more... After all, there should be a hydra, a shield, bring the universe to the movies, finish the plot here... and how beautifully the butler plays his role, as well as his voice acting is like a song...
It was a good ending, and all the main characters not only survived, but also looked promising: they disappeared, made plans for the future, and went into the shadows. In short, there are plenty of prerequisites for the second season. Well, I personally liked the season as a whole, it started out fun and relaxed, with funny swing tunes, and then turned into a kind of drama. Every episode, one of the good guys dies. Peggy is adorable, it would have been a completely different series without Jarvis, and now I know how white noise works.
In general, it's quite a good retro-style series with a good team of main actors. The Carter-Jarvis jjot couple. However, I still did not understand why the uber organization Leviathan eventually shrank to a professor and one of his assistants. Oh well. Well, another "minus" is that you don't really worry about the main character. By definition, nothing bad can happen to Carter. But it doesn't spoil the impression of the series. And the series (I repeat) is pretty good. P.S. While watching, I wanted to review the first "Captain America". I think I'll do that.
@Xando: I suppose this is not a meaningless comment, but just a very brief one. It looks like a smiley face with big eyes and a mouth stretched out in surprise. Like O_O, only OoO, but it doesn't look like that. And the O.O. option is not very cool either. In *.* there are not enough spaces, some kind of crookedness. Therefore * . * - an ideal option. vk has a special smiley face for this, and even two! With and without eyebrows.
@Xando: a person may have no words, but there were enough emotions for a smile, I liked the ending so much, and then I immediately noticed the disadvantages)
@crtwrght: and even when the 7 series was released, I asked if it would be extended)))) it's not a bad series, but Agents of Shield managed to slide from a good series to a mediocre one) And here the series was able to go from mediocre to excellent in 7 episodes)
@DarkPark: but I was patiently waiting for Age of Ultron as a character, and then I wanted to watch the Shield finale as it was planned. Well, I shouldn't have waited, anyway. they promised almost a crossover)
@crtwrght: Synopsis of the second season of the TV series "Agent Carter":
Devoting herself to fighting the atomic threat after World War II, Peggy Carter must travel from New York to Los Angeles to complete a dangerous new mission. Even after she finds new friends, a new home, and perhaps a new love, she discovers that the post-war lights of Hollywood conceal a sinister threat that she has sworn to protect everyone from.
On the one hand, it's good that they extended it for a second season, because the exciting game of the main character is gorgeous, but on the other hand, the storyline is already over and I don't see any point in continuing. Still, I'm looking forward to the new season in order to really assess the whole situation, and not live by guesses.
Overall, I was pleased with the season. It came out that Angie is voiced by the same voice as Lee Tompkins in Gotham, well, that's why he's lost. Sousa is no fool, he took Birushi with him. Well done. I wish Peggy was with him. She just let Steve go, maybe he will have a chance) The mask, or whatever you call it, on Ivchenko's face made him smile)))
When I started watching the series, I thought, "What kind of nonsense is this? It's another soap opera from the 50s, with a woman in the title role." As a result, I really liked the series and watched the whole day with pleasure.I hope there will be a 2nd season, but I also hope that it will be no worse than this one.
Oh gods, I love this whole Marvel universe. And this series is just incredible! The post-war atmosphere of New York... I think I'll be looking for something like this for a long time. And yes, Peggy is my hero. It makes people want to be better than they are. I'm sure many people would like to be like her. I'm looking forward to the second season, it's very interesting how her personal life will turn out. I'm betting on Susa! :z
P.S. I'm becoming more and more surprised at how different everyone is: some people like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., some like Agent Carter, and others don't like Captain America movies.. #observations
It's a very cool series! Cool Peggy, cool Jarvis...for his sake, you can even review all 8 episodes anew - I love such characters) and this whole atmosphere of New York from the 40s, a dormitory with a janitor.:D, SNR, all this Stark chic and glitter is very, very cool! I'm waiting for the sequel!
Actually, I don't like Dominic Cooper, but as Stark, he's very charming. Handsome Sousa: 'Was he saying something?' : D Thompson could have said that it wasn't him who did such a good job, but, in general, the success of this operation is largely Peggy's merit, although, of course, it's obvious that she doesn't need all this pathos, gratitude and blah blah, but just for the sake of justice. I almost burst into tears when Peggy refused to go have a drink with Sousa, hoping until the last moment that she would change her mind and give him a chance - it's not for nothing that she smiled so mysteriously with: I'm waiting for the second season. Come on, Peggy, burn it!
@Mrs_Bennington: Thompson looked back at Peggy, and she kind of nodded at him. Anyway, the senator would not have believed that a woman had done everything. I liked that Thompson's character wasn't suddenly radically altered.
In the finale, the creators so coolly nodded towards the three main shipping - first, the Carter scene with Sousa, then Carter and Angie moving into Stark's penthouse together, and then the soulful scene between Carter and Jarvis (^_^) How sweet that is :-)
The series is weaker than the previous ones, mainly because the showdown between Peggy and Dottie looked very strange, it turned out to be the weakest fight in the series. Overall, the series is great, and Marvel has completely done DS on TV.
@Kostyurik: I watched the first season of The Flash in a row, and this one, the Flash was just terrible. And he is considered the best DS series currently running. Even the weakest Marvel series Agents of Shield is better than Arrow and The Flash. I haven't watched Gotham yet, but judging by the reviews, my opinion won't change. And there's still Supergirl ahead, oh horror.
@yasger: At DC, I watched The Flash, Arrow, Gotham, the Supergirl pilot, and even all ten seasons of Smallville. The only thing that was overlooked was "Konstantin", because "Konstantin" is shit. I liked everything else to the point of piggy squeal
I've watched the first two seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at Marvel in full, as well as the first seasons of Agent Carter and Daredevil. Not everyone will like the latter, because it is very serious, gloomy and dark. But "Agents" and "Agent" are gorgeous.
If I were given to compile the final TOP of the current series, it would be: 6) Daredevil 5) Gotham 4) Agent Carter 3) The arrow 2) Agents of S.H.I.E. L.D. 1) The Flash Marvel - DC - Marvel - DC - Marvel - DC...
That's why I say they're on a par. Of course, soon, "Legends of Tomorrow" will be better than "The Flash," "Jessica Jones" will definitely be better than "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Supergirl" will be better than "Arrow," and "Especially Dangerous" will be no worse than "Agent Carter." But in the end, neither of the two companies will get much ahead, and they will go nose to nose. This is IMHO.
@Kostyurik: Is Supergirl better than Arrow? Are you serious? And at Comic-con in New York, critics said that Jessica Jones came out darker and better than Daredevil.
@crtwrght: Yes, judging by the pilot episode and the second trailer, Supergirl will be better than Arrow - it will be bright, colorful, funny and with a lot of comic characters. I've heard that "Jessica Jones" will be ruined in the same way as "Daredevil." But I still hope for the best. David Tennant is there, he would never play in outright shit.
@Kostyurik: somehow, after watching Daredevil, I think that the series should ideally be something like this - dark and serious, or at least like the second half of the second season and the third season of the shield. And Supergirl is cheap and totally stereotypical.
@crtwrght: everyone is looking for and finds in TV series and movies what they like.
On the contrary, I didn't like this very gloom and seriousness in "Daredevil" very much. I was expecting something in the spirit of "The Flash" or "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." or at least the amazing movie "Daredevil" from 2003... and he got the Nolan Batman trilogy, mixed with Zack Snyder films and elevated to the fourth degree. It's not a Marvel product at all-it's not light, it's not entertaining, it's not bright, and it's almost not colored.
If in "Gotham" the gloom and seriousness are kept at the right level, then in "Daredevil" they frankly went too far.
As for Supergirl, I got everything I expected from this series in the pilot and trailers. And even more. Because in addition to the light entertaining nature of the narration, the beautiful picture and the interesting script, I was very pleasantly surprised by the very talented cast that I know from other projects.
@Kostyurik: I completely agree with your first suggestion. Everyone has different tastes.
for example, on the contrary, I really liked that Daredevil came out so gloomy, against the background of the entire Marvel cinematic universe, this is such a beautiful plus, if you remember that everything there is quite rosy and does not pretend to be serious. and you see a disadvantage in this, because "not Marvel")
I didn't watch Gotham, because the topic of Batman and his ilk is not very close to me at all, it doesn't even arouse interest.
You can also argue endlessly about Supergirl. well, in general, while watching, I had one thought - cheap. and indeed, this is not the current level of TV series, in the days of the Mysteries of Smallville, it might have been a ride. but somehow everything is too farfetched and improbable. if you want to relax, enjoy a picture and a light story, probably yes, but I would not recommend it. there are much better projects, also purely for the "picture and lightness of the plot," because I myself appreciate these two components first of all and believe that such series should be, but Supergirl is frankly overkill in a bad way)
Who's the guy at the end? He also looks like Lester from GTAV. In general, Carter is better than Sheathed. As for the Marvel vs. DC television showdown, a lot depends on which channel the series gets on. For example, HBO's true vampires turned my ideas about vampires upside down)
undoubtedly, it is necessary to write once again in one line about "like / dislike the series" and "gorgeous / not gorgeous final episode", for the same there is no rating of episodes and the series as a whole... is everyone so afraid to discuss in more detail what is good/bad about this or that moment?!
It's a good series. I really want to see Sousa and Carter together))) Of course, it's a pity that Rogers is not a fate, but life goes on) And the series, too. Long live the second season.
Why did Peggy bleed, I wonder? Didn't she want another Cap? The defender of the country? And anyway, according to Jarvis or Stark, a lot of useful things could be extracted from this blood.
I've only watched the first season so far. Well, not a SHIELD, of course, but watchable. What is his problem? It's a little boring, it doesn't work like a superhero series, and it doesn't work like a detective series either. You're wondering - What kind of animal are you, Agent Carter?)). I'll see how the second part goes.
It's a very exciting ending. Jarvis is just the most wonderful character. I liked the plot, it's not too overloaded, there's a lot of humor and just nice moments, especially with Jarvis. :3 . But why pour the blood of a super soldier into the Hudson River?! (or the gulf)) Dottie is very thin for a super spy, probably in season 2 she will still appear and mess things up))) And Peggy Milaha. One of the most charming female characters in TV series that I know.
@lilianaz: Underground Empire is a book about gangsters and booze from the Interbellum era starring Steve Buscemi. Mad Men is a good story about advertisers in the sixties. Exemplary Rebels is about female journalists at the turn of the sixties and seventies. Generally normal. Gangster City - Cops vs Mickey Cohen. You can watch it. The Knickerbocker Hospital is also good, but it's the beginning of the twentieth century.
@MorALL: Oh, and the Americans! A notebook about Soviet spies posing as an American family. The bonus is the excellent Russian language of the minor characters, i.e. no "cocaine" (finally, the producers paid attention to emigrants from the USSR) :) But this is the eighties.
@MorALL: also Stepanokorolevskoe "11.22.63". The Sixties always look beautiful - the time of big cars, women in beautiful dresses with magnificent hairstyles, groovy music.
A great end to the season! Just for 5+. I'm glad Peggy was recognized at work, she's so cool! Both beautiful and smart, perhaps one of the best serial characters (in some places she resembled Kate from Castle). Jarvis is just one love! A very charismatic actor. And I like Sousa. I wonder if he's going to make it with Peggy. I think they would make a good couple.
An incredible season of the posh season, but here's the inconsistency... Putting two of the most dangerous criminals in the same cell is not the best solution.
I'm the only one who gets mad because agents tell each other, "Don't let him talk," "Shoot right away," and so on, and then THEY DON'T FOLLOW THEIR OWN ADVICE. Okay, Suze might not have decided because he hadn't seen Dottie in action, but Carter herself?! And so it's a great series. It's always a joy to see the backstory of the characters)
I decided to watch the Marvel universe in chronological order, if everything is simple with the movies, then the series are more complicated. I started watching Agent Carter almost a year ago, but I stuck up for episode 3. Now I've got the idea to watch the whole universe from beginning to end again and watched season 1 of the series in a couple of days. Since I've already watched Iron Man, I can't help but notice the similarities between Howard and Tony, and the actors are similar and the characters are similar. Now it became clear who Tony was such a jerk at. I hope that season 2 will be no worse.
God, what a powerful moment when Peggy tried to appeal to Stark's mind! Easter eggs and parallels, but damn it, it's gorgeous! Peggy released Steve. Bravo. Just bravo. It's the perfect ending. Yes, Peggy had Steve. But their relationship was supposed to be in the past, in the forties. Carter has to move on.
It's nice that Carter is now in high esteem. It seemed to me that the doctor had to touch the ring at least first, but it didn't seem like he believed he had mastered Susa. It was unexpected to see the Ashes. I wonder if he will turn Feinhoff from Leviathan into Hydra? It would be cool if a fish with a super ability appeared =D "Cap was my only good creation." I remembered his speech on the tape in the second LF. And of course, it's interesting that the Americans are also villains here in a sense: they threw gas at the Russians, even though they knew what could happen. If you think about it, it's strange that they didn't say Stalin knew about the side effects, but he agreed anyway =D
We finished season 1 so well. Peggy and Howard's conversation was so hard for them. It's just a pity that I decided to watch the series just now. Knowing Howard's future, I still won't stop watching.
Curiously, Zola and Fenhoff ended up in the same cell. If you recall the events of the movie "The First Avenger: Another War", it seems that you can understand where the legs of Bucky Barnes' brainwashing grow from, and the Ashes there also appear in the form of digitized consciousness in a computer. It seems that these two found a common language when HYDRA was introduced in the USA.

Peggie Peggy, I'm not ready!!!

In general, we finished the season well, I liked it.

Because in addition to the light entertaining nature of the narration, the beautiful picture and the interesting script, I was very pleasantly surprised by the very talented cast that I know from other projects.
for example, on the contrary, I really liked that Daredevil came out so gloomy, against the background of the entire Marvel cinematic universe, this is such a beautiful plus, if you remember that everything there is quite rosy and does not pretend to be serious. and you see a disadvantage in this, because "not Marvel")
I didn't watch Gotham, because the topic of Batman and his ilk is not very close to me at all, it doesn't even arouse interest.
You can also argue endlessly about Supergirl. well, in general, while watching, I had one thought - cheap. and indeed, this is not the current level of TV series, in the days of the Mysteries of Smallville, it might have been a ride. but somehow everything is too farfetched and improbable. if you want to relax, enjoy a picture and a light story, probably yes, but I would not recommend it.
there are much better projects, also purely for the "picture and lightness of the plot," because I myself appreciate these two components first of all and believe that such series should be, but Supergirl is frankly overkill in a bad way)
In general, Carter is better than Sheathed. As for the Marvel vs. DC television showdown, a lot depends on which channel the series gets on. For example, HBO's true vampires turned my ideas about vampires upside down)
Tell me, will I ever be able to become a prophet?
Jarvis is just the most wonderful character.
I liked the plot, it's not too overloaded, there's a lot of humor and just nice moments, especially with Jarvis. :3
. But why pour the blood of a super soldier into the Hudson River?! (or the gulf))
Dottie is very thin for a super spy, probably in season 2 she will still appear and mess things up)))
And Peggy Milaha. One of the most charming female characters in TV series that I know.
Jarvis is just one love! A very charismatic actor. And I like Sousa. I wonder if he's going to make it with Peggy. I think they would make a good couple.
It's been boring all season, and the last 2 episodes are straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Their interaction with Jarvis is very funny.
The atmosphere of the series is mesmerizing
And so it's a great series. It's always a joy to see the backstory of the characters)
I hope that season 2 will be no worse.
Peggy released Steve. Bravo. Just bravo. It's the perfect ending. Yes, Peggy had Steve. But their relationship was supposed to be in the past, in the forties. Carter has to move on.
It seemed to me that the doctor had to touch the ring at least first, but it didn't seem like he believed he had mastered Susa.
It was unexpected to see the Ashes. I wonder if he will turn Feinhoff from Leviathan into Hydra?
It would be cool if a fish with a super ability appeared =D
"Cap was my only good creation." I remembered his speech on the tape in the second LF.
And of course, it's interesting that the Americans are also villains here in a sense: they threw gas at the Russians, even though they knew what could happen. If you think about it, it's strange that they didn't say Stalin knew about the side effects, but he agreed anyway =D
