For me, the last 2 episodes of the season were the strongest. I'm not one of those people who will cry at sweet moments, but when it comes to TV shows like this, and the characters you've loved since childhood (yes, yes, I've been watching and reviewing this series for 12 years now)... I was ready to cry, because it was hard to watch Nick lying in that glass coffin. And when the ants came... You wouldn't wish such a fate on an enemy. The morgue shot killed me. I almost believed that he had passed away. Damn the pranksters. And Nick also went to that girl in prison. Knowing myself, I would have shouted into her phone, "I'm so glad your father blew himself up," and laughed maliciously. And he's a good guy, a strong guy. The scriptwriters for these two episodes can be given a standing ovation.
I didn't think I'd cry over the CSI series, but here it is. It was impossible to look at Nick's suffering without it. The series is chic, there's one word here - Tarantino.
There's some kind of incompleteness. I kept waiting for them to double-check the evidence to see if the girl was in charge. If that's the case, then the sacrifice is greater.
I was very worried about Nick (although it was clear that they would find him, because he is in future seasons), but I did not understand one thing. When dealing with a girl buried alive, they searched for her using a helicopter and a thermal imager. Why didn't they use it now? He was in the mailbox for more than 13 hours, I understand Nevada is big, but they also had some approximate search areas. Instead, split up, with flashlights, to look for loose soil..
And by the way, the man's motive was not completely clear. His daughter may have been falsely accused. And come up with such a sophisticated way to kill the creminalist, and himself.. the motive was not enough for me personally. But the series is the most powerful, of course. I usually watch episodes while working, with one eye. And here I just couldn't take my eyes off. Bravo
Tarantino is visible in everything: camera work, close-ups, editing, dialogues out of context, even the actors can be seen how he set up (other emotions). The series (two) is the strongest! I was very worried about Nick, although I saw what he would do next, but in the end I doubted myself. It's hard to call it just a series, it's a separate movie in the series.
I haven't received as many emotions as I have in the last two episodes in these 5 seasons. The strongest episodes, I think, were very worried about Nick. Even though I assumed that he couldn't die, it was still terribly exciting.
The last two episodes are great! But in all such series there are such twists. I don't remember what I watched about 4 years ago, but the plot is exactly the same, and every time there are such turns, a tear comes to my eye. The episodes are very emotional when the investigations concern the characters themselves. The difference between the series is felt, Tarantino respect
I also didn't understand the motive of this guy who blew himself up a little...😕🤔
I was also at a loss when the "team" at some points just sat and "looked into the void" or just at Nick's monitor... half the series shouted "yes, let's sit longer, because we're not in a hurry.."🫠 Although, in principle, I understood that the investigation was going on anyway and they were doing everything possible, but still🙃
As for why they didn't use a helicopter, as in the episode with the girl, Tarantino probably didn't see this episode, so he didn't use this feint, plus for added drama. I did not understand the motive of this deceased psychopathic father, I spent so much effort, it was easier to organize my daughter's escape, and there was no tower, but only 5 years, 3 of which had already been served. Most likely, she was to blame, since they didn't show us the opposite. I don't understand why this bastard killed the poor dogs. He could have gotten the giblets without killing the dog, but he buried the other one, and he also treated a stranger so cruelly! Apparently, with such genes, I no longer believe in his daughter's innocence. You were imprisoned not because of the criminologists, but because you didn't have to associate with questionable types.
@Iradakzlv: It seemed to me that it was her fault that she had thought everything out, it took so long for her to be shown at the end that I expected an evil grin at the very end.
Nick is my favorite Persian precisely because of his character, he does not give up, he is kind to everyone, even if something bad has happened to him. I hope he won't get injured after such a tough event. When they found him, I just died and was resurrected inside.
