@gedget: /complementing Edgeworth/ gems have no gender at all, only gender. So they just look like girls /maybe they feel like them/, but they might as well look different.
@Diaforetika: There have been no "non-girls" gems yet and almost certainly never will be (except for Steven, of course, but this is a separate case). They really don't have a gender, most likely the concept of "gender" too - but from our human point of view, in appearance, voice and preferred pronouns, they are all girls...
@gedget: If it bothers you so much, just don't think about the fact that they are girls. Hemes are basically asexual creatures, they can associate themselves with both women and men.
@_kensington: There is such a term as "Allegory", this is when the author (screenwriter, writer, etc.) uses certain images to convey his thought. Do you really think that all alien asexual stones take on a female form, absolutely everything. In this way, Rebekah Suger wanted to convey a certain beauty of same-sex relationships. Steven's universe is the most vivid example of a lesbian cartoon, it's not bad, but it's there and it's stupid to deny it.
Yes, they are girls, and they love each other. It happens. Huh, finally the theory about the one-eyed Sapphire has been confirmed! "I AM ETERNAL FLAME, BABY"
Lol, it's just that in the SU fandom, it turns out there are still people who are confused by the magical girl friendship. It's time to get used to it.
But Sapphire's eye is a little creepy, that's right.
And fusion is some other feeling that we, mere mortals, do not understand.
Huh, finally the theory about the one-eyed Sapphire has been confirmed!

/ and no, I'm not against same-sex love/
