@teldrynsero: in the previous episode, at least it is clear that the Nostrovites are aliens from another planet. And these Night Wanderers-who are they, where are they from? Unclear.
@illuhaste: something damn mystical. I was already getting used to the fact that in Torchwood, all sorts of supernatural things sit side by side with aliens. However, I think that the Doctor could somehow justify this from the point of view of science... Mmm, Lore sciences are a component of the Doctor Who universe, which includes Torchwood.
But what I do remember is that the same Crying Angels tend to "multiply" through various kinds of images, including videos: we recall the famous "Any image of an Angel becomes an Angel." Most likely, these Wanderers have similar abilities, since they "jumped out" of the old film.
Wanderers are probably quite ancient creatures, and it is not a fact that they are related to humans at all, because their abilities are more like witchcraft and magic. Here we can recall the same Carrionites from the third season of Doctor Who, whose science was very ancient and advanced, and indistinguishable from magic.
Atmospheric series. With a touch of retro. But at the same time, it's kind of disgusting. I couldn't get rid of comparisons to the "Freak Show" from "American Horror Story."
And the previous episode too.

I love this kind of Torchwood. I love creepy\weird series*_*
