I thought that at least they would show how Anne Boleyn's head would fly off her shoulders, but alas.
And Henry is bloodthirsty - he took and ate the poor swan.
And a very symbolic moment with a swan, the whole essence of Henry is revealed in it.
Poor swan : ((At first I didn't even understand why they were shown so often, but Henry kept looking and looking... and how quickly he switched to other women as soon as Anna became his "legitimate" wife. It's amazing, guys!
And the king is an egoist, a tyrant and a womanizer — his whole brain is focused on the groin level.
I liked the contrasts - someone is preparing for execution, and someone for a wedding, someone is crying, and someone is happy. Indeed, there is a time to scatter stones and a time to collect them. No one can escape from fate. Anna saw how Henry easily disowned his eldest daughter, and it would be foolish to hope that he would not be able to do the same with Elizabeth. Jane should have thought about that, too, but ambition is everything. Especially if it's the ambitions of the men of your family.
I remember the moment when all those who came to the execution kneel in front of the condemned. Even Brandon, her old enemy.
The last scene is symbolic for me. It seems to me that this pair of swans symbolized for Henry all that was beautiful in his relationship with Anna, and maybe love itself. And so he devours (I don't like this word, but there's no other way to say it) one of them. That's it, the swan is left alone. And Henry, too.
and it's the same with Catherine. He easily disowned her. If Anna had been smart, she would have realized that he could leave her as well, but this is the king, his grace blinds.
I can't find it…
