By the way, I liked this idea, to present all the main types of series. The first is mythology, the second is a kind of mix between death in a scientific institute (a frequent topic in SM) and a doctor's experiments with genetics, the third is comedic. I wonder what else will be shown next.
Mulder had just decided to put childhood aside when Scully came in with a new monster case. Now Scully grabs the gun, and Mulder grabs the phone. :)
With a trans prostitute peeking through the eyes of a stuffed manager and a porn scene in her imagination, the lizard laughed like crazy! And from Mulder's red swimming trunks, I immediately remembered the Duane Barry episode.
And pills - after Mulder's conversation with the doctor, he wrote out a prescription for him. :)))) No wonder Scully asked, "Mulder, are you taking your pills?" :)
Lubin, in my opinion, plays himself in all the series :)

2.7 after this episode, 8 million viewers. Usually, the risk for a series is falling to 1-1.1. But you need to watch it after the season ends.
And yes, Mulder does have a gun, but for some reason he never uses it.
The series is amazing. A stroke of genius with a monster, wonderful dialogues, Easter eggs here and there, Scully, unraveling the case and humor herself! Lots of humor! This is the kind of return we've been waiting for!

I've always had the impression (but maybe I'm wrong) that it was after the SM that comedy series began to appear more often in other series. They have become a kind of good tradition.
The second season has already started.
At some point, I thought that Mulder was under something and everything that was going on was just glitches))
During previous seasons, Mulder simply couldn't run around with a camera or phone. Because in those days they simply did not exist))
The first cameras and digital cameras appeared around 2001. Just in time for the end of the series.
If we talk about (digital) cameras, they have been produced since the early 90s, such as with floppy disks, five-kilogram batteries, etc. But it cost like a car. And since 95, did you probably mean the beginning of the release of "consumer" models (with a quality of less than 1Mp)?
A short list of things I particularly liked: Mulder's ringtone is good, the rabbit on the wall is hilarious, and the creators of the series are lying in the cemetery. The caretaker of the motel is still a voyeur, a prostitute who has changed her gender has incredible power. And of course, the monster's fantasies of how he possessed Scully right at the workplace. The series is just on the top ten. I really hope that the next episode will give heat and at least surprise.

I was pleased with the references: familiar addicts from season 3, Queequeg and the immortality of Scully are mentioned (my headcanon is now canon!). However, it is strange that after repeated encounters with werewolves and similar creatures in the past, Mulder and Scully still call their existence stupid... However, this, like some similar moments from previous episodes, can be attributed to the fact that after being away for 15+ years, some things are vaguely remembered, and the inexplicable is called the inexplicable because it cannot be proved after so many years))

And then that's it, he goes off into the sunset, that is, back into the jungle. I laughed like a victim and even shed tears. I especially liked this reptilian's fantasies about Scully. "YEAH, MULDER, YOU'RE JEALOUS!!"

There was nothing like it. Even if it was a file, it's excusable. The supernatural stole a lot from them, even a couple of whole episodes.
been 10 years and the new season is full of shit, I watched 3 episodes about what He's where the answers that everyone has been waiting for are:
- About UFOs
- Where are Doggett and Reis now
- What has Mallder been doing for 10 years
- The conspiracy continues
- Why was there no end of the world in 2012, or did the aliens arrive?
- How Scully and Mulder returned back to the USA
and many more
And what I saw in the 3 episodes is more like Supernatural, where they run after the cuffs and so on ...
where the experiments on people, where is Scully's son and what's with him.
And anyway, like Mulder, he couldn't stop searching for the truth for 9 seasons, and now 10 years have passed and nothing...
As for me, this restart or resumption of the IX File is a failure.

Well, remember, at the beginning of the series, they chased a monster through the forest and eventually the monster mother was killed, and then it turned out that she was giving birth and at the end of the series it was shown that her cub was hiding underground.
