How does Hercules make friends with such an arrogant fool? After all, they overdo it with the character of Iolaus.

Well, I wouldn't say that Iolaus is so arrogant. Yes, there is a braggart somewhere, somewhere he clearly wants to keep up with Hercules, and therefore has some problems, but nothing terrible, as for me.
