The best moment in these first two episodes is old McCoy, who is in the picture.
There are many differences from the original, there are more holes between the characters. It's worth getting used to, and giving a season for the series to accelerate.

@dlr5668: those who want to use this list should know that in the first season, there is confusion with the number of episodes on some sites (including cutting).

Because series 1 and 2 are considered as one big series. So the 3rd series is 2nd there. The season turns out to be 25, not 26 episodes.

Just this list is above - season 1 - for sites where 1-2 episodes together and 25 episodes. If you don't, add +1 to the numbers of season 1

The first season is no, it's really better to skip. You can even skip the whole thing, because even these selected episodes of season 1 are very weak. I watched 13 episodes in a row, I couldn't watch any more, so I endured 13 episodes. Then I started watching these selected episodes of season 1... I liked just a couple of episodes from the season

Here's the second season is already more interesting than the first, but also a little weak.

So you can start watching right from season 3

I expected more from the beginning. The characters almost didn't catch on, with two or three exceptions. I heard that Q is so cool, but in fact (at least in this episode) he is an incomprehensible uncle who, for some reason, became attached to the crew. Picard is no better until I see him as a good captain. We'll have to look further, but without pleasure.

About the new team. The XO, as I understand it, is Kirk 2.0. And Android is the robo version of Spock.))

For a long time I could not approach this series. Everything except the original and DC9 has already been revised...
