A completely meaningless ending. No, the moral is clear: like, the scoundrels will chew each other out, but from the point of view of the plot... Why did it have to end with Sato? Someone could have betrayed her, etc. without end.

And I still don't remember where and when Defiant disappeared in some other series or what it's all about, it seems he was mentioned somewhere.

@alavitka: In DS9 they had a small military Defiant, but this is a different ship.

And, here, it was in TOS: "The Tholian Web", but I don't remember that anymore.

@alavitka: I am her expert in Star Trek, but since this is the whole universe, and the chronology did not come out sequentially, then these two series purely explained to me where Emperor Sato came from later in Discovery, who then got back into the main universe.

That is, I personally regard these two series as explanations (background) to what we will see later and no more.

In Real life: Linda Park (Hoshi) is Korean, Michelle Yeoh (Philippa Georgiou) is Malaysian

In the track: Hoshi is 100% Japanese by name and mentions, Prime Georgiou is Malaysian, mirror Georgiou bears the title of Japanus, most likely this title was introduced by Hoshi when he ascended the throne, but remained for a hundred years.

The probability of consanguinity in the top of the empire is EXTREMELY SMALL
