@Masya: Oh yes! My first thought at the end of the episode was: how good it is that I am watching this series when it has already been completely released. I would be very worried about the feeling of the unknown.
@Litera_S: but you missed a lot. How we watched every episode on TV until nightfall, and then came to school until 8 a.m. to discuss everything. And then they painted the boards 4 8 15 16 23 42
The only question I really care about is whether Sawyer and Gene will survive. The characters are so colorful and attractive that they shake. Without them, the series will fade significantly (especially without Sawyer).
I wonder what's in this mysterious hatch??? I've been waiting for an answer to this question all season, and it's such a bummer! I hope that in the second season they will show us what is so scary there)))
Wow, how many years have passed since the first viewing, and the emotions after the explosion of the hatch are still the same... The smoke still gives me the creeps... That's what it means, a series for the ages!
@ken_nedy: which proves once again that the visionary Jack did the right thing by replacing backpacks - otherwise there would be no dynamite, nor such a forgetful Kate....
@ken_nedy: Huh, when Jack takes off his backpack, Kate's running back is visible in front of her - she's not wearing a backpack. But the next time they show her, she's wearing a backpack...
It's a great series, even after 10 years it will still be one of my favorites. Even a certain nostalgia rolls over when watching, I remember how, even as a child, my mother and I waited for every episode, and he went so late, but I still endured and did not sleep to watch. It can be said that it was from this series that my serial love began.
This is the most shaky episode of the entire season. God, I even believed for a few seconds that everything would be fine with them, when suddenly THIS happened =(
I've been reviewing "Lost" for a month now. Since 2005, this iconic postmodern series, which turned my mind upside down, has attracted me over and over again. I rarely watch TV shows, but I've watched "Lost" several times, especially the first seasons. I don't know, maybe it's because "Lost" is the most brilliant series in the world, but its plot still hasn't lost its relevance for me. The semantic content, dynamics, and acting are as exciting as the first time. In the first season, the dramatic stories of passengers who suffered a plane crash and found themselves on a mysterious island are just being unwound. The first season is an acquaintance that grows into eternity. Jack, Kate, Locke, Said, Hurley, Charlie, Jin, Sun, Sawyer and the rest of the legendary characters are just starting their journey. "Others" loom on the horizon, black smoke is terrifying, the hatch is impregnable and fatal numbers are everywhere. If you get to the Island, then your life will not be the same. "Lost" is forever.
What do these numbers mean... the black box, or Pandora's box, as you like, is open and now all the troubles of humanity will spill out? I thought Hurley was going to take all the dynamite for himself, he's a damn lucky guy, nothing's going to happen to him. But alas, his actions are not clear to me. Charlie and Claire and the baby are insanely cute, I hope Charlie doesn't take cocaine from the statuette. It would be cool if that single statuette turned out to be empty, like a sign that you need to stop. I hope that in the next seasons love story will be waiting for me, not Jack/Kate, but Sawyer/Kate, because the chemistry between them is incredible. They have such different stories, but they are so similar in their unfortunate fate and audacity. I hope they will be an incendiary couple. Jack is a good character, but he doesn't need Kate, he needs someone like Song. Although the Koreans are not my favorite couple, they have a very deep and platonic relationship, which is very attractive. It's bad that some phrases still have to be hammered into the translator, since not a damn thing is clear. Because of this, I don't like series about them. Locke, as before, is the most mysterious character. As far as I understood, Jack decided to solve the problem with him in a rather prosaic way. Knowing the doctor, he definitely won't do that, and Kate isn't one of those. And Locke himself is a tenacious bastard, and surprisingly, one of the most interesting characters, well, how to take him out of the game, which I won't say about Michael and his son. And it's better to leave the dog. Overall, it's a very addictive series. I thought that I would not like it, because the graphics of those times were not very good, and the series itself has been almost 15 years old, but so far it is very interesting, it is clear that the writers did their best. So far, the invisible monsters that are on the other side of the frame are a little annoying, they could at least show one paw, hint at least what it is. I have identified Sawyer, Locke, Said and Kabanchik as the best actors. By the way, the series about the boar who became Sawyer's stalker is one of my favorites. These are my impressions of season 1 of "Lost", let's see what awaits us next.
Why are children a fetish? What's in the bunker? "Illness"? The corpses of the murdered Danielle? Does the monster really not exist? Who are the "others"? Aliens? I hope to find answers to these and other questions when watching the next seasons. The series is fire, I've been going to it for more than 10 years!
@Xenobait: I am surprised that they did not take this heroin initially: John has operations of varying complexity, they have few medicines, it would completely replace painkillers or at least make it easier if someone gets sick
They are generally not very economic, everything is scattered around the island 😂
Again, there is a strong contrast in almost one frame (as with the death of Boone and the birth of Aron): one son is returned (Aron Claire), and the other son is taken away from the other (Walt from Michael)...
Why can't Jack just accept Locke's help? Locke himself said that he does not aim for the place of the leader, because first of all he is a hunter. What is Jack so afraid of?
@electraheart: necroposting, but still. Jack is afraid that Locke will decide to write down the victims of the Island and the others, as he did with Boone. Jack is clearly tired of being a leader, he doesn't need it, but he can't humanly say, fuck your own problems.
I was surprised that when Sawyer literally ordered Michael to light a firecracker, Walt did not try to stop them in any way. In one episode, he is also shown to be special, anticipating trouble when he asked John Locke not to open the Hatch.
@NastjaTsch: or maybe he wanted to be abducted himself. After all, the first time he set fire to the raft, and the second time he wanted to go. That's why he made such decisions deliberately, although he was very scared when he was taken away.
@ezcett: Yes, it's a memorable scene. I once arrived in Sheremetyevo D by van out of habit in 2018, waddled up to the security checkpoint, and there they tell me that you have another terminal, B, which was just opened, and all domestic flights were transferred to it. I ran like crazy with my suitcase and remembered this scene. I barely made it, just in time for boarding to close.
how they suddenly switched from one child to another. maybe this is something that has taken the form of some kind of incomprehensible villains on a boat who are hunting for a child.
The airport worker who sold Hurley's ticket is so disgusting! And in real life, by the way, they often occur!
And in General... Hurley must be terribly offended! If the others just bought a ticket and flew, then he put so much effort into getting on the plane!!! And then this!
My Lost Browsing History: When it was on, I was in middle school, and my classmates were mashing up the plot and buying posters and stickers with characters. Back then, I didn't watch TV shows in principle, and until recently, I considered Lost to be another "soap drama" with a touch of mysticism, albeit very hyped.
And now, having binge-watched season 1, I'm glad that 1) I'm reviewing my views 2) I'm watching it right now. This is one of the kindest series on life topics, about relationships and people in general. And the intertwining of destinies, riddles and a vague sense of danger make you not look up from the screen.
And yes, it was on Myshows that I caught an unrealistic spoiler in the comments to "Mr. Robot," so don't go there if you're watching Lost for the first time)
Fantasy, adventure, drama. The plane crashes, falling onto the island. The surviving people quickly realize that there will be no quick help and they need to survive on their own. People are all different, and living in a small society is problematic and the island constantly throws up problems, mysteries and dangers. 😀
The numbers protected Hurley as best they could, even the toxic stewardess was dumped or whatever she was, but he still broke through, heh. The bunker is open, long live the bunker!
Did anyone else doubt that Jack's leadership pants would carry dynamite on their own, even by deception? I'm not. And as if for good reason, Kate started jumping over the rocks like a goat, forgetting about explosives. What kind of black clouds are chasing them? I didn't really understand the haze that came out of the pit.
Danielle miscalculated, she grabbed the wrong kid. Oh, what's going to happen...
Michael is so perceptive sometimes, where everything goes is when it comes to himself... Cleverly identified Sawyer as an amateur suicide bomber.
A man of faith and a man of science, an eternal confrontation. And yes, there is a destiny, but to claim that Boone's death is only part of the puzzle... This is to absolve yourself of all responsibility. Reassure yourself. That's what blind faith means. It means going where you're told, without thinking, and justifying any bullshit with purpose. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually says: Well, the others took Walt away because the Island asked, so that's what it's supposed to do. Brother, you were given legs, and not given the opportunity to spread rivers with your hands, calm down. And that's another reason why I'll never choose Locke's path again, and I understand why Jack is so eager to eliminate it.
There are a million questions, even more intrigues, and what a busy project, every moment is practically given for something, not counting a bunch of Easter eggs, I still love Abrams and his approaches to his creations.
@chch93: by the way, when Hurley runs at the airport, in one of the scenes you can see cheerleaders or athletes, on the forms of which the numbers are: one has 4, there is a girl with the number 8 next to her...
@chch93: There are all the numbers on the panel. The speedometer freezes at the numbers 4, 8, 15 and 16, the temperature sensor in the cabin shows 23 degrees Celsius, and the odometer shows 42 kilometers. Girls have all the numbers too. Actually, if you look at the series, they're everywhere. They wanted to buy a yacht for 42 thousand (this is in season 2, not much of a spoiler, if I don't say who and why, just a random fact), Kate was handed over for 23 thousand, in one of the flashbacks in season 2 there will be a parking lot with license plates, boarding the flight - exit 23, seats on the Plane 15 and 16 Hurley, Jack, Rose, and Bernard have 23, etc.
Disassembly on a raft is just an epic suspense, after more than 15 years it still gives you goosebumps. Well, we've already written everything about gorgeous Easter eggs in the form of scattered numbers here and there) I'm not a wild fan of Lost, after the completion of the project there are many questions for the creators, but abstracting from the whole series as a whole, the first season itself is definitely a masterpiece.
@BeataKatamadze: The second part later on the DVD was split into 2 parts a little later from the moment when a bird flies over Hurley. This will continue to happen - at the first screening, there is one long finale of the season, which is then divided into parts.
Hurley running to his flight is a special kind of art)) Now, when I'm late for something and everything goes wrong, I can't help but remember this episode. What if I'm being warned against something, too? What if I shouldn't be where I'm in such a hurry?
And yes, the cliffhangers are great here. John and Jack look deep into the bunker as the camera zooms down. God, I can still remember how much I was looking forward to the start of the second season in order to satisfy my curiosity. I had so many questions, theories, and guesses in my head. No series has ever aroused such a storm of interest in me.
They used to be able to take pictures. As a person who has watched a lot of TV shows, there is little that surprises, intrigues, excites or pleases me. And here every episode is something with something! And you believe the actors in their performance, you rejoice and worry along with their characters. And the music is well written for the moments.
@coffeewithwhisky: Not that I compared them by level, but suddenly: look at the Survival Game — the Russian TV series of 2020. There's every episode with its own twist, at one time I was delighted with the first season. The second is weaker, the third is waiting))
I've been putting off watching this series for a very long time and, of course, I've been constantly running into spoilers. I already know how it's going to end, but that doesn't make it any less interesting to watch. It's so addictive, it's creepy!
What a wonderful Said, gods. He helps everyone, fumbles for psychology, understands technology. A former torture master, but so kind. Xs, what would they do on the island without him. Damn, when Boone is shown, my heart contracts. She screamed like a seagull when Sawyer called Jin Chewie.))
I probably watch it 4 times. When I was about 20, I was impressed by Jack (a kind of kind and saving everyone), when 25 - Sawyer (a bad guy who you sympathize with and who grows above himself every episode), at 32 - I like Said the most (simple, sincere and able to get high in the moment).
Of course, the caste is incredible, this is not the tolerasty of the 2020s with LGBT people in all the cracks, for 2004 it's just a challenge with such racial and religious diversity on the screen and it's catchy, adult catchy. The depth of each character is amazing, the dialogues and interactions are on top. The plot is, without exaggeration, an icon in the survival genre, it's a pity that now this is no longer being filmed. Modern shows critically lack humanity and sociality.
Damn, when trees were falling and something was humming in the jungle, I imagined some kind of dinosaur, but it turns out that the source of all the mayhem was black smoke. My personal "Monster Template for the jungle location" was broken :D
The so-called Others came from where they were not expected, the last episodes escalated the threat from the jungle, and they attacked the raft, which is quite unexpected. Although the whole movie with a bonfire and black smoke to the skies was exclusively a multi-step Daniel Russo. Although her words about "they came for the boy" and Walt's abduction, well, basically everything fits. They really came, but for the wrong reason.
The final cliffhanger, of course, sets you up to wait for the sequel, there are numbers on the hatch, and the camera ominously moving away into the darkness from the faces of the main characters into the mysterious bunker. Wow, that scene gives me the creeps.
I really liked the series, I decided to watch it from the OUTSIDE, since the same creators did not lose it, it's very interesting just not to break away, the season in 3 days!!!I hope that Michael will survive, I'm so worried, I liked Perrino from the Outside, and he's cool here))It was a terrible unexpected turn!!Probably these are the others and it means that they were talking about the boy not about Aran but about Walt, it seems to me that he has some kind of abilities)))I wonder what's in the hatch and why Walt told me not to open it then???and most importantly, what strange numbers I think this will be the main mystery of the series!!
@KatrinVamp: How I envy you!I've already watched the series! An amazing series, at times inferior from the outside!Although I'm really looking forward to season 4!!Enjoy watching it,
The biggest question, in my opinion, after the end of this season is: WHY DO YOU NEED CHILDREN? And by the way, how will they survive in the open ocean in such distant lands? So far, everything is fine, I don't feel a bit stretched. And I still don't understand, where are the Cliffhangers? (I've heard that there are a lot of them in this series, but I haven't seen them yet, apparently this is only the case this season. Of course there are cliffhangers, but there are 5-6 of them, when I was told that they were in almost every episode. I don't really care about cliffhangers, I've just heard about it everywhere.)
Discussion: Season 1, Episode 25 Join the Discussion
98and yes, the idea with the numbers is awesome)
I've been through the entire 20th episode, where was that moment?..
I swallowed it in a week :D
The end of the season leaves a lot of questions.

this music, this positive attitude all the way. I would watch a separate series with him.
