KO reports that the old issues were not only preceded by Marge's warnings, but also had a common plot, the first time Bart's stories and Lisa's reading, and then nightmares. The first episode is funny not only with a couple of good jokes, but also because it looks like Groening's self-reflection on the success of the Simpsons: money, fame and advertising of anything.
Interestingly, Grace Kelly is mentioned in the first part as the Princess of Monaco, and in the third (or rather in the scene after the credits) Queen Beatrix. The piano exit.
