The most beautiful thing I've seen is the unkind fire in Colombo's eyes when the killer almost brags in front of him, mockingly inquiring about the evidence. (It was on the dock when Columbo told the killer that Nadia was dead)

But if he hadn't killed Nadia, then at least she would have testified that it was accidental or self-defense
