11A missionary with a brush falls on Sato, her goal is to expose this terrible disease at least in his face. And they sign a contract, thanks to which Sato goes outside and stumbles into other troubles.
Once again, we are witnessing a picture of a "rotten society" that makes me sick, but nothing has been done about it for tens of thousands of years, because this is the essence of the mass of people. No matter how good they are individually, why do people in groups turn into such a scary and ugly creature?
There is no answer, but there is an opportunity to at least become a separate good person.
Among other things, Sato's neighbor is an animeshnik (my favorite by far). He brings a lot of humor to anime and also struggles with society, staying true to his hobby and not losing reality.
The appropriate "tired graphics", with surreal moments, only highlights the action and looks very much in the theme.
I really liked the series and it is one of my favorites.
What kind of rotten society is this? Which missionary signs a contract with Sato?
I'll start with the first one. Nothing is said about society in this creation, this story is not about the confrontation of the oppressed "not like everyone else" against the gray masses. The story is about people with specific problems and how they have to force themselves to overcome an insurmountable wall of their own fears, cockroaches in their heads, and slowly find their way in life.
Let's say Yamazaki (an animeshnik, although in fact he is more of an otaku since he is not only a fan by profession) dreamed of a career in game development and considered himself a creative person capable of turning the idea of eroge and games in general around. What did Sato say about the game that Yamazaki thought was brilliant? Yeah, he said she sucks. However, when he had to move to the village, forgetting about his dream, Yamazaki finds his position better than it seemed and does not even regret that he did not achieve what he wanted earlier.
Senpai. She's quite a curious character. This is a girl suffering from serious mental disorders, which is why she is constantly in paranoia, considering the whole world to be a conspiracy against herself. The girl's paranoia goes so far that she is ready to give up her life because not only does the whole world want to kill her, but her lover is constantly forced to break down to work. How can you not decide in this state that "he doesn't love you"? However, Sato helps her overcome certain barriers. Yes, it might not be so easy to cure her completely, but in the episode about the new year, we see that now conspiracies are just an excuse for her to joke and she is concerned about more real problems and questions.
1. The organization she worked with turned out to be scammers.
2. The debts did not disappear anywhere and, apparently, were unbearable for the Headman.
3. Her brother, whose care was her only reason to live, is missing. Although we can see that everything turned out well for him, because he had to overcome himself and get a job in order to survive.
I really feel sorry for the headman, because there are many people like her. They are overly responsible and at the same time extremely naive and gullible, and scum from such companies sell their herbalife, forcing them to spend money, getting into debt. At one time, this was a very serious problem all over the world. Although it probably still remains.
And so we come to my second complaint to the commentators. The missionary did not enter into any contracts with Sato, he was signed by her niece. He just turned Granny down.
Misaki says in the series that she sees in Sato someone who is more pathetic than she is, but if you look closely, she has rather found a kindred spirit that she needs to understand. But everything is not going according to plan.
In the course of the story, Sato unknowingly helps everyone around him overcome the walls of his problems. Almost everyone remembers about the headman. He thinks he's not doing anything special, but just trying to prove to a silly girl that he's not a hikkikomori.
When we find out about Misaki's own problems, we can already clearly see that she actually needed Sato much more than he needed her (as is the case with all the other characters). Although not. Nevertheless, he needed her no less, because it was only thanks to her that he began to come out of his petrified shell, and thanks to Yamazaki he was able to learn to trust people again.
The final arc, where Misaki's world begins to crumble due to the fact that she misunderstands Sato and begins to think that he does not need her. And a misunderstanding develops into two attempts to end your life. Fortunately, they are not successful.
What do I want to say in the end? This anime is about how fear is natural to all living things, but you can't let fear rule your life. If you don't have the strength to overcome yourself alone, then you need to trust a friend or friends to provide support.
The shell is not a solution to the problem, but only its postponement, because avoiding it forever will not work.
This title definitely deserves attention. I would recommend watching it, but not for entertainment, but for introspection. We have to look inside ourselves and ask, "Am I okay or do I need to talk to a friend?"
