s01e01 — Downsize

The humor is not too British.

I couldn't even watch the first episode. It's a good cast, but the dialogue is an incredible heresy.

Nothing will save this series. But the stapler in jelly and the "inappropriate use of folders" made me laugh :)

The humor here is not special, it is more interesting to compare the characters with the American version. In this series, it was useful to learn that the throat should be cut lengthwise, not across (with) Dwight

Yes, it's a little weak after the American version. But the jokes of local Jim on Dwight are funny.

After watching the American version, I decided to watch the original. It's very hard to watch because I see Michael, Dwight, Jim and Pam. And so the series is good)

Насколько раз пересматривал американскую версию сериала, взялся за английскую. Сходство чуть ли не слово в слово)

У американского я даже 1 серию с трудом досмотрела, настолько это было ужасно. Британский офис, конечно, тоже дико скучный и не смешной, но хотя бы не такой мерзотный кринж, пережить можно) Порадовало наличие тут Мартина Фримена. Собственно, это, наверное, единственное, что порадовало меня при просмотре серии... Но такого отторжения, как американская версия, не вызвала, и на том спасибо

Конечно тяжеловато смотреть после американской версии. Да и юмора британского ожидал больше.
Но посмотрю дальше

пока американская версия больше нравится. ну либо она просто привычней 😅

I watched the first episode of the original Office, after watching the American adaptation. It's going hard. But I'll see what's next.
In the American, they left the drawing with jelly, but made a sequel to it. We left David's quotes for Michael's character (about the main value - not buildings / papers, but people. And also about the fact that he is first of all a friend, and then a boss, and of course an aspiring comedian / artist.)
There is a scene in both versions of the secretary's dismissal. Jena Fisher played back the tears more naturally, and her British prototype Pam sent the boss cooler))
Briton Harry looks quite sickly, American Dwight is more assertive and confident. I pay tribute to how Rainn Wilson copied the way he spoke to the camera from his British prototype. And John Krasinski perfectly portrays Martin Freeman's smirk. (I read that Steve Carell didn't watch the original, but Rainn and John were fans)
There are a few more details that the Americans have adapted better. There are moments that remain only in the British version.
In general, it is interesting to see the original.
