A strong series. In the spirit of my favorite "Practice". Thanks to good acting and an interesting script, it looks pretty easy. But the feeling after watching it sometimes remains very difficult. It takes time to digest what you see, but there is no desire to stop watching, no matter how unpleasant the plots sometimes are. One season of The Defender made as much impression on me as 3-4 seasons of modern shows sometimes don't. Simon Baker, of course, is the star of this series. Demonstrating that he was already a convincing actor in his early 30s, whom it is interesting to watch, whose character you empathize with, despite his ambiguity. It's nice to see that Nick Fallin is not at all like the later incarnation of Patrick Jane. Except when Nick is drinking tea somewhere, I can't help but smile and catch myself thinking that the mug is wrong, since it's not an azure shade. But this is already the troubles of a fan of the "Mentalist".)) The finale of the first season came out intriguing and full of despair. I will watch the second season without delay.
It was clear that this stripper was going to be a problem. It was clear that the elder and younger Fallins loved each other, despite all the bickering, innuendos and resentments. excellent performance by Simon Baker, I thought that after the Mentalist it would be difficult to perceive him in another role. his character is very interesting, one of those whose positive traits are not revealed immediately.. the series keeps in suspense, some kind of frenzied rhythm of life, and some episodes are especially touching in their plot. the season finale came out well, I will be happy to watch the sequel.
Damn, why is he so unlucky! His beloved girl got married, he lost the case with Levi and James, and then this stripper attacked, and then she fell back... Maybe she's not dead yet, huh? Maybe it's just that he couldn't find a pulse in stress, and they'll pump her out? So I don't want to think about the negative scenario that threatens him (((
