What do you like so much? Such a popular series. I started watching it myself, but so far it's kind of expressionless and boring. I hope it will be more interesting later.
This is a stunningly beautiful anime with an equally stunning plot. I'm reviewing it for the seventh time, and it's time, perhaps, to delve into the manga.
Before you start, answer a couple of questions: Are you 30? Do you have up to 1k viewed titles in your luggage since the days when anime had to be obtained with great difficulty on videotapes? If you answered no to both questions, then just accept the fact that I represent a different category of people who are most likely not interested in this title. This is not a masterpiece of all time, at least for the first three episodes. I would venture to assume that its popularity is formed by getting into a certain target audience at a certain time. By no means is a universal title for all ages and categories, so it can't claim to be a masterpiece just by meaning. It's probably not a masterpiece in its genre either, but I can't judge - anime for a purely female audience is not mine at all. The first series does not really reveal the plot, it is stuffed with primitive humor that will make you laugh only in a certain mood and age. I'm watching on duty, waiting for the series to rock, finally reaching a coherent plot, just because I have to watch and wait. As a result of the three episodes, the roller coaster of bad humor and buffoonery with failures in deliberate drama and pathos are a little annoying. I would like it to be done more carefully somehow. Liters of cheap pathos are very annoying, but not at all attractive, perhaps everything is arranged differently for young virgins and such an artistic technique causes delight, I do not undertake to judge. In general, I can't rate the title yet, but if I had a chance to watch it just for myself, the drop on the first episode is not mine.
@PepperSnack: At the age of 15, the butler became one of my favorite anime. Now I decided to reconsider, it turned out that at 24 it is no longer so funny, and even causes more excitement than interest. Purely for teenagers to look at, 18 + definitely does not pull
@PepperSnack: It became interesting what kind of "duty of service" is where you need to watch anime.
For the first time I saw footage from TD (some fight from it was mounted to rock music) at the anime fest in 2009, they interested me very much, at the time when I watched it, there were only 2 seasons. And yes, now I'm 30+ and I got anime on ftp servers and nascent torrent sites (unfortunately, I don't remember half the names of the series I watched then, although I didn't look for some in any way through the description of the plot - I would also like to reconsider). And at that time, this title was very good: funny characters, good drawing, an intriguing plot. And the fact that something pretentious for you is synonymous with a "plot for young maidens" - you probably haven't watched Fast and Furious or Snyder's films? - pathos "for middle-aged men" at least eat buckets in a bunch of different paintings.. There is excessive pathos in the plots for any gender.
I decided to review it according to the fan. Yes, in adolescence, this anime looked much more cheerful, but now many things cause maximum grin or fespalm, and yes, the buffoonery here is sometimes super stupid and naive, but it is peculiar to a bunch of animeshek and not only those created for a female audience. In any case, this is not a classic "girly" anime about love, and there are really interesting characters here and, if my memory serves me right, good "skirmishes" (I'll check when I review). I remember that by the middle of season 2, I was tired of some kind of twisted "Santa Barbara", let's see how it will be perceived at my current age.
@albinka_: and you yourself write that at this age the reaction is already different, so I kind of said that for young minds) fast and furious and transformers are in the same pile, it's just that the pathos is more fast food and therefore a little less cringe. Not may cap of ti, as they say. So it seems that we generally agreed, you like nostalgia, I don't have it - so it's not very watchable for me. According to the "service" - I am an artist, then we ordered art with characters and tearfully asked to take a look to get into it)) as I passed the work, I dropped it, to be honest, I don't pull

There are 3 seasons in the title and my heart was meanly kicked 3 times, so
* the sheep are like an outlet here, honestly*
Still in awe of the drawing, the atmosphere and Sebastian ❤
