This Sheldon is completely different from what he was made into in the series. And for me, this image is worse.

If this was the first episode that I would have seen, I would not have watched the series.
But when I watched a huge number of amazing episodes, it's very interesting to look at this pilot series!

As for me, the series looks quite harmonious and in the spirit of the series, though a little more vulgar or something, although it's still strange why it was rejected. One blonde was replaced by another - the concept of the character has not changed. A smart brunette is also the essence of the matter in the series. Apparently, at first they decided to use the concept of "friends" - equally "boys and girls", but then changed their minds. Even it became interesting how this story would develop, in particular the relationship between the brunette and Leonardo, she had a whole plan, after all)

and, in my opinion, a successful pilot. the essence of the characters has not been changed, jokes about physics are present... and if people say that this is vulgarity, then they have not seen vulgarity :D
PS Sheldon, who did not have sex with Amy, is a parallel universe, and I like this parallel universe. because Sheldon's image is sometimes too exaggerated :)

This pilot is very gloomy in tones.

I heard that this pilot was rejected because of the negative reaction to Katie's character. I can understand why they didn't like her and why she was replaced with a Penny.

The fact that Katie's character is vile is undeniable. But the actress who played Katie in the pilot did better than Kaley Cuoco in episode 1. Penny's character became alive only for the 2nd, 3rd series. If actress Amanda Walsh (Katie) had been given the role of Penny initially, then Kayleigh would hardly have had a chance to play in the pilot. But history does not tolerate the subjunctive mood.

It's a cool pilot episode, I kind of missed it when I started watching TBV, and I didn't watch it until a few years later.
