And how do actors play lawyers and doctors, murderers and maniacs? How does a non-addicted person play an addict? How do childless actors play mothers and fathers? How do good people play villains and vice versa?
And who should asexuals and aromatics play? But what about actors who hide their personal lives and sexual preferences?
Did Eli Gold have to be bisexual too? Then you would be outraged, why this propaganda, because his sexual orientation is not important for the plot.

It's an actor's job to play different people. And even elves and Hobbits. Not being such.
