during those endless 30 seconds where he holds Kaoru in his fist, I managed to remember all of Shinji's problems, feel sorry for him, remember how hard the episode with Toji was for him, hope that I would no longer hear such an insanely scary scream, change my mind 5 times about "whether Shinji will kill or not, yes or yes, no or yes, yes? no. no...?" to wonder why Kaoru loves him so much for nothing, suddenly it's a family attachment, where did he come from, who created him, what happened, that he changed his mind, and many more questions like why am I watching this series, when all I get is tears and anxiety)))

I'm watching it for the first time and in order, so I only know these 24 episodes about the story, if anything, don't throw spoilers.
