I had high hopes for the title of the series... I thought there would be some kind of leap in time, everything would be decided in the future, and in the present there would be a happy ending. The ending seemed to me like we stopped in the middle of a highway...
it's strange how Megan got the abilities, she wasn't in the center, she was with Tom, if Diana brought her to the apartment, then why didn't Tom get infected too, and also, if Sean treated his brother longer, then Collier could heal him calmly, like Sean doesn't have Collier's number -_- a The series is great there! The ending is cut off, but I think that the following seasons could spoil it)
@Lina_Enot: I also thought of Collier as a salvation for my brother. Why didn't he go to them as soon as he realized that he was dangerous to others?..
@Ell: yeah, they restarted it on their own head, same-sex couples were added there and a lot of things, a lot of things were added. These restarts usually end in complete nonsense, so I'm always looking for the original originals.
Subjective opinion: worthwhile seasons - first-second. The rest look at the inertia of the TV series fan. You can watch it purely for show, imho, again.
Seasons 1 and 2 were a really light sci-fi drama, with characters and stories that might well be of interest. Plus, I liked the idea, which was washed away by adding more and more esoteric and religious nonsense in seasons 3 and 4. It was a real cult, a sect ready to sacrifice half of the world's population because of some book and visions.
The whole mess started when they added this rival group from the future trying to sabotage the 4400 with an adult Isabelle, instead of focusing on what was actually happening in the future (which was never clear) and how the 4400 should prevent it. By that time, unfortunately, many plot holes had begun to appear, for example, to kidnap Maya again and send her further into the past, or Tom committing "suicide" and being sent back. If it's so easy to send someone to the future or the past and bring someone back from the dead, then what's the point of forty-four hundred? Why not send someone to the ancient Romans and change course there, and if you fail, try again in the Middle Ages. The creators of the series really should have focused more on the coming catastrophe in the future, on how and when it starts, how to prevent it. The goal of the main antihero is (allegedly) achieved due to the randomness, naivety and mistakes of one of the most useless characters in the series and television, in general.
The most absurd line was "let's bring God to Earth." The idea behind this whole story arc contradicts everything we've learned during the first 2 seasons, and that's that people with abilities aren't automatically bad or good. Some of them used their powers for good, and some used them to hurt and kill people. Even the abilities themselves were not in all cases designed to do good, some of them were (healing, for example), others simply caused destruction, chaos or violence. And all this was refuted in season 4 and especially in the finale, just do what some vision/ability and an old book tells you (the stupidest character in the series: Kyle) and give everyone abilities or let them die, because then you will get heaven on earth, of course, no one Out of billions of people, they will no longer use their ability to kill, engage in perversions, rob banks or seize power that has long been seized by the same scoundrels. That's what happens when you don't watch The X-Files and X-Men carefully.
Wow. Sidab restarts the series. Quote: "The CW has ordered a reboot of the series "The 4400" (Four thousand four hundred). The cult science fiction series that aired in 2004-2007 is back."
yes, 100,500 opinions about the series, then he dragged it out all the way to season 3, then it became a big deal to watch to kill time and understand what the point is so many of my hours spent in front of the screen and then everything is final, but if only a couple more episodes show how life flows when the whole city is like a fairy tale... how other cities live.... but I'll tell you one thing, I'm not going to watch the Sidab version yet, I'll probably wait a couple of seasons
How I wanted to punch Kyle in the teeth in this episode and wipe that creepy obsessive smile off his face. I don't remember him being so infuriating before, but this time he beat even Isabelle last season's sample in this indicator.
I absolutely cannot perceive Collier as a positive character. First of all, what kind of paradise is this on earth if it needs to be built on the bones of (potentially) 3+ billion people? Where is the guarantee that the abilities will be gifted to those who actually want to build this paradise, and not some sociopaths, even if there is at least one maniac among the original 4400 who uses his ability to kill? And thirdly, it is somehow doubtful that a person who opposes the promycin tolerance test, who made a suicide bomber out of a teenager, kidnaps people against their will, and so on, will long advocate for the benefit of peace and the population. It looks more like a good head start in the struggle for power.
I'm glad for Marco, he got one of the coolest abilities. But it's a pity, I lost two friends during the season.
And now my eternal pain, Sean. One of the few absolutely positive heroes, whose decisions sought peace, friendship and reducing the number of victims, rather than profit and power, lost his mother and brother (whom he himself had to kill) in a couple of days, and received a promycine attack, which he tried his best to avoid. I love him, one of the kindest-hearted and selfless characters ever, I think it's extremely unfair that he was so walked over in the last episode.
In general, I love this series, one of the first in my TV series life. The revision was successful. I don't want to get into a CW craft after that, I'm sure they'll ruin the whole idea.
I watched the series in three days! How wonderful he is, just excitedly! For that time, it's just a cannon, it's not enough that I'm so attracted! In places, the series was very similar to the events of the series "Fringe", they were filmed almost at the same time.
I really feel sorry for Danny. The first seasons he annoyed me terribly, and when he grew up and got smarter, he was "removed" ((Sean was left a complete orphan, all alone
Isabelle was also terribly annoying for the first three seasons, and when she died, she felt very sorry for her.
The new abilities of the newcomers cannot but please🫶 Although we were not shown what Tom's abilities will be, I want to believe that he will be able to go back in time and meet Alana🥹 even at the end of the series, he looked at her photo)
There are very, very few TV shows that, like this one, can catch on. In one breath ❤🔥The highest score! The actors played great, I "believed" them😌🤗
P.S. Advice for the future, who will read this: watch the original, "4400" of this year, the re-shot series does not deserve great ratings 😉
It's a very interesting series. I regretted that I had not finished watching it earlier. It's a shame that it was closed, but the ending is still not bad and consider it completed. Then the series would have already told how the movement covers the whole world. Of course, I would like to see the future and whether the 4400 has changed anything in it at all.
P.S. I wonder if the music from the screensaver takes me directly to America in the 2000s?)
I've watched the show, and after almost 15 years, it doesn't seem as cool to me as it seemed in school. But still, although the series is not a masterpiece, it is quite solid. Yes, we have an open ending, because the creators planned 5 seasons, but the series does not stop in mid-sentence. We have a local, but rather logical ending, albeit with a hint of understatement. Separately, it should be said that this version is simply a cut above the remake of the 21st year.
