@Fun_Punk: You're right about only one thing. The second sentence, read the excerpt:
The term has been widespread since the 18th century. In one of the earliest senses of this word, it is the nickname of Americans — natives and residents of New England (northeastern United States). During the War of Independence in North America (1775-1783), "Yankee" was a nickname used by British soldiers in relation to the rebellious colonists. In the southern states, since the Civil War of 1861-1865, it has been the nickname of the inhabitants of the northern states. Outside of the United States, it is now more commonly used as the nickname of all native Americans. Despite the many meanings in which this word can be used, in the context it always refers to residents of the United States. (c) Wikipedia

@JayPtichka: In the 17th century, the North American continent was home to colonial settlements called New Holland. Dutch immigrants were derisively called Jankees for their frequent names Jan and Kees and their frequent double names.

The second option, of course, is the sincere love of the Dutch for cheese (Caas) and the combination of the typical name Jan and the popular dairy product could give such an ironic nickname (for example, as "macaroni" in relation to the Italians)

Well, you can't do without the third hypothesis.: The simplest explanation is that it started with a diminutive name from Jan - Janke, which was in great use among the Dutch colonists.

That is, they became Americans later, and I do not dispute that today only Americans are called by this word. Well, okay, otherwise we slipped into history after discussing the series))

It's gorgeous! I haven't laughed like this in a long time!
Here you have a sophisticated cannibal and an imperturbable Moss, and a fear of spoilers with the funniest anti-piracy advertising, and the Soviet Union, shown in black and white tones with talk about the revolution. It's just gorgeous! 10 out of 10 per episode!

Was it my imagination, or did the cannibal play the main theme from GP at the end? or something very similar to it.

@sadddonkey: That's exactly what she was. Usually the screensaver is at the end, it wasn't in its usual form, there was a cello)

I'm reviewing all the seasons and I have to say that something is wrong with this particular episode. The jokes are kind of flat compared to the rest of the series, as if the scriptwriter is different.
