A father, mother and their two young daughters go to a family celebration with the parents of the main character. The family is not punctual, the dad gets angry and, trying to reduce the delay to the minimum, starts reckless driving. As a result, they run into a maniac who first demands an apology for his boorish behavior on the road, and then naturally begins to nightmare the driver with his whole family. Let's be honest, even at the stage of reading the synopsis, not even movie fans understand how secondary it is. Those who are younger remember "A nice trip" or "Jeepers Creepers", those who are older, "A traveling companion" with Rutger Hauer. Well, old-timers will generally remember Spielberg's debut film Duel. But... oh... I don't even know where to start. I was hoping for an atmospheric European thriller. A banal, but sturdy middle-class man. What did I get? An unconscious black comedy. That is, I sincerely want to believe that the director and the screenwriter (they are all the same person) have a very sophisticated sense of humor, and he purposely made the main characters impenetrable dummies and assholes, who, starting from the first appearance on the screen and ending with the final scene, cause nothing but irritation. If the screenwriter really wanted me, as a black woman from a Very scary movie, to yell at the TV, jump on the couch like a baboon and straighten my face with my fist in a fit of indignation at the actions and decisions of all participants in the chase, my respects. It's been a long time since I remember that naturally no character aroused sympathy, even if he did the wrong thing. There is absolutely no logic at all here, and you wish everyone the most painful death. Such morons cannot reproduce. In some ways, the local maniac is right, although he, of course, purely drunk, got to the radio to the man because of such crap that it was just right to cut out all those who were driving along the road at the same time. In general, if you, like me, are looking for a thriller - Stalking will definitely disappoint you. But if you are ready to see a black comedy (conscious or not. Although according to the final morality, I would say that after all, the author is clearly a troll) about hysterical cretins - this is the address.
