Description

Since the beginning of her career, Sinéad O’Connor has used her powerful voice to challenge the narratives she was surrounded by while growing up in predominantly Roman Catholic Ireland. Despite her agency, depth and perspective, O’Connor’s unflinching refusal to conform means that she has often been patronized and unfairly dismissed as an attention-seeking pop star.

It's an interesting movie, I don't regret watching it. I read about her life story on the Internet, but the film showed more than I read, although they did not answer the most important question that tormented me so much, well, okay... How did people get to her with that shaved head. No one will notice a man with a shaved head, but a woman is everything, a star... I remember Britney Spears kind of shaved her head a long time ago, so she was sent to a mental hospital in general. Although, what I read later about her whole life and what was going on with her - I was shocked, even though I had never been a fan of her or pop music in general, although, of course, in any music there are high-quality things, performers, hits in the end... As for Sinead, I still did not understand why she converted to Islam towards the end of her life, especially after everything she had struggled with all her life - accepting Islam, I saw it as if she had given up. I read that her son died, and the only thought was that this was what killed her, maybe she lost her mind. Otherwise, I cannot imagine how, being a feminist, one can voluntarily accept Islam - the most inadequate and cruel religion towards women.
