Description
Two academic teenage superstars realize, on the eve of their high school graduation, that they should have worked less and played more. Determined to never fall short of their peers, the girls set out on a mission to cram four years of fun into one night.
This is a modern youth film. This is a film from a generation that ate hipsters and just hadn't had time to come up with a name for itself yet, as it was busy with a million other things. And perhaps this is the main thing in this movie, as it reflects all its qualities. This is a movie:
• Dynamic. Not a second is given to get bored. The synopsis does not even closely reflect what kind of events will take place on the screen. The title poster is about nothing, but the other poster – a hand–drawn one - is what you need. A chair is flying, a naked dude is running on the roof, BOOM-BOOM-BAM, yes, that's about the feeling of the movie.
• Sincere. We are also told about what has been talked about many times, but what it is important not to start silent about, and what they usually prefer to skip. Heroes even on the run through life manage to be frank, even in truth, even in lies. If there were taboos for the filmmakers, it is not obvious, and at the same time, any topic raised does not look vulgar or rude.
• Funny. It's not the funniest comedy in the world, but laughter is guaranteed, and an almost constant smile and frequent giggles are provided. Funny characters, situations, dialogues. Do you know anything about jokes about penises and vaginas that don't make you feel awkward? It doesn't get any better at all. So you'll find out. These are smart, cute and totally not nasty jokes about penises and vaginas.
Personally, I didn't like the large amount of attention paid to drugs. I don't like this topic in the movies.
Overall, the film is excellent. I almost wanted to review it right away. There are many moments throughout the picture that you don't pay attention to at first, and which later pop up and take on their own small significance.
My favorite character is Jared with his inimitable facial expressions.
