A typical teen movie with a somewhat angry adult and brave kids saving a monster that is not exactly a monster, but a cute and sometimes intelligent animal. It contains all the cliches of such films and all this is diluted with Mexican flavor, because Chava is a former Lucha Libre fighter nicknamed Lightning and they are seriously discussing this show as real fights between professional fighters. Yes, they are good acrobats, there is nothing to take away, but otherwise, what kind of fighters?! Nevertheless, this stuff is very popular in Mesquite (judging by the film) and the fighters enjoy honor, respect and fame. But this moment did not come to me personally. The film is a family film, a lot of talk about family, mutual help and so on, a little action with a well-drawn and funny monster and, of course, a happy ending! Purely for children, but you can see, the chupacabra was successfully drawn.
