I love this story, both in movies and in books.
A good cast.
Very funny and quirky, Rene turned out to be Bridget Jones. The strong male part of the cast.
One of the best comedies with a New Year mood and romance.

I've been watching this romantic dramedy movie since I was a kid and now I realize that I'm already Bridget's age myself..and somehow the perception of the film becomes different)

A very funny romcom with a charming and lively main character. Colin Firth is such a darling in this movie

I liked this story as a child. Now I don't see Bridget's fullness at all, it was so imposed on her and on us as a viewer at that time. She is not a fool, but still allows herself to be spanked on the ass by the uncle, which is disgusting and unacceptable. A hardworking woman, her career is only going up. Actually, what's the man for?

Oh, how many times have I watched this funny, silly comedy. And you realize that this film is not only about the search for a groom allegedly by an old maid. And about the most important thing - finding yourself in life.
In my opinion, one of the best lyrical silly comedies about love and life.

I love this movie. The sequel isn't that cool, but this part is just magical. So much humor, great soundtrack, great actors. Here Hugh Grant is such a charming scoundrel, and Colin Firth is just the embodiment and dream of any girl. And Renee Zellweger, who literally put her soul into this role.
I have already reviewed it more than once, and I probably will review it more than once.

I watched the movie for the first time, it wasn't bad, but I expected a little more. It's very light, but, as they say above, it's a bit silly.

It was probably a breakup in the early 2000s, but now it's just a cozy comedy.

It's a wonderful movie that you can watch many times! A wonderful soundtrack, a cute picture, romance, lots of humor and, of course, a magnificent trio of main characters. Renee as Bridget is wonderful. Young Hugh Grant as a sexy brat is as good as ever. Yes, it's a girly movie, but it's so cool that it's a worldwide hit.) And an ageless worldwide hit for decades.

"Bridget Jones's Diary" is a cozy, funny story about a heroine who always gets into awkward situations, but this only makes her more lively and likeable. Bridget is touching, funny and completely imperfect among the many ideal heroines, which is probably why sometimes you look at her and recognize yourself. The film is very similar to "Pride and Prejudice": it's also Mr. Darcy and a familiar relationship scheme, only in the modern version. However, compared to the clever and ironic Elizabeth Bennet, Bridget looks charmingly stupid and clumsy, and this is what captivates. The perfect option for a light evening, looked, smiled and rested
