Overview
Zed is an American vault-cracker who travels to Paris to meet up with his old friend Eric. Eric and his gang have planned to raid the only bank in the city which is open on Bastille day. After offering his services, Zed soon finds himself trapped in a situation beyond his control when heroin abuse, poor planning and a call-girl named Zoe all conspire to turn the robbery into a very bloody siege.

An American named Zad (Stolz), a safe deposit specialist, arrives in Paris at the invitation of his friend Eric (Englade), whom he met in the States. Immediately after arriving, Zed, on the advice of a taxi driver, meets a prostitute named Zoey (charming Julie Delpy). There is sympathy between them, which eventually saves their lives. The script and production work belong to Quentin Tarantino, and you can feel it. The film features Tarantino's characteristic atmosphere of immorality, cruelty, narcotic euphoria, black humor and demonic irony. The directing is done at a high level, and the acting is just great.
