The cartoon is based on the eponymous (almost) drama extravaganza of the Ukrainian poet and writer Larisa Petrovna Kosach-Kvitka, known under the pseudonym Lesya Ukrainka. In the USSR, two films and a cartoon were made based on this work, and Hollywood used the plot in the first part of the film "Maleficent", although I did not find any mention of it. The cartoon began to be filmed already in 2015, but only now it has been released. The drawing is not to say that it is excellent, but it is quite good, although some inhibition and unnatural characters are present. But everything is fine with humor, there is a bit of action, a Ukrainian flavor has been added and in general it turned out to be a good and sometimes even a kind fairy tale, which is quite possible to watch. Thanks to a good literary foundation, from which the authors practically did not leave, there are no logical jambs that most of our recent cartoons sin. Yes, there are no thoroughly bad characters here, and the post-title scene is probably licked from one of the cartoons about the three heroes (although it may just have coincided like that), but it looks easy and not stressful. However, I will not recommend it. Cartoons are generally such a thing that not everyone comes in, and here, even if it's very good, but it can't be called a masterpiece either. Decide for yourself.
