In fact, a great movie, for all the intimacy of what was happening, I watched it without stopping for two hours. The actors are playing great, Fraser has generally done his best. And most importantly, with the meaning of the film, the end is to tears.

Do not make a decision about watching after reading the synopsis, otherwise, there is a high probability of making the wrong decision not to watch
. The agenda in this film is not paramount, and not even secondary.
Aranofsky. as far as I could, I crammed the maximum of problems into the 2-hour timekeeping: fathers and children, the drama of divorce, the death of a loved one, LGBT, where without the Bible, etc.
It turned out a little hastily, but as organically as possible, for a 2-hour script.
Fraser was allowed to roam around and show himself. Supporting actors deserve separate nominations.

A tear was squeezed out at the end. Forcibly, but they could.

A strong film. Fraser is powerful, I'm glad that his career has not only been revived, it shot into space thanks to this role and the subsequent well-deserved Oscar. The story moved me to tears: father-daughter relationships, LGBT religion, the death of loved ones, relationships with food and one's own body. Sadie Sink is also beautiful here after Stranger Things. I can't even believe that the director of this chamber drama was the notorious Darren Aronofsky, I want to say bravo.

Fraser was pleasantly surprised, the Oscar was well deserved. I am very glad that everything is gradually getting better for him. The actor who gave us a lot of childhood is back in the ranks, thanks to him for the wonderful memories, I hope that he will surprise us again

The film interested me at first. The main character and his condition caused a lot of difficult emotions. The development of the plot and the relationship of the characters was interesting. But the further it went, the more boring it became and the feeling of falsehood appeared. It's like watching a bad play. The movie, by the way, was shot on its basis. The heroes solemnly appeared, pathosily recited a fancy, but not live text, and defiantly left. The actors probably did a good job. But the script and dialogues let me down.

I haven't cried like this in a long time. She stared at it. The film evoked a lot of emotions: from pity and indignation to anger. I really wanted to believe in a good ending, but alas ...
the film, of course, cannot be called instructive, but as a drama of one big principled person it is very good.
The acting is wonderful. I'll reconsider it sometime.

Brendan Fraser's performance is the most compelling reason to watch this movie, it was amazing. I advise you to watch in the original to really feel it. By the way, in addition to good acting, the film boasts a very deep message. As it seemed to me, each character symbolizes pain, whether it is the loss of a loved one or a sense of guilt that causes self-destruction. No matter how many negative feelings, emotions we have, or no matter how many bad things we do, I want to believe that there is something beautiful in each of us. Actually, Charlie came to this conclusion at the end of the film quietly and with relief saying "People are beautiful".
