"Politics has no place in the kitchen": the trailer for "Lessons in Chemistry" with Brie Larson is out

Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for "Lessons in Chemistry", a mini-series based on Bonnie Garmus' best-selling novel of the same name.

The series is set in the early 1950s. Elizabeth Zott, faced with patriarchal norms, is forced to forget about her dream of working in science. The woman is fired from the laboratory, but fate gives her an unexpected opportunity: Elizabeth is offered to become the host of a cooking show. She accepts, but instead of just cooking and introducing the audience to new recipes, Elizabeth shows everyone who watches her that the status quo can be changed.

The role of Elizabeth Zott is played by Brie Larson ("Captain Marvel"), and the showrunner for the project is Lee Eisenberg, producer of USA's "The Office" and the drama "WeCrashed".

The first two episodes of the show will be released on Apple TV+ on October 13. Further episodes will be released once a week, and the finale will be shown on November 24.

@MarkRaffer: Have you even finished reading the description? "why talk about another cooking show" - Maybe because it's not about a cooking show, but about women in science in the 50s? Or do you dislike the actress and are you looking for something to get to? Why, when you could just write I don't like Brie Larson and therefore I won't watch.

I'm already at a loss, maybe you're living in some kind of alternate reality. You see the invisible, you believe in the unknown... I'm a normal person, I read about the ridiculous outrage that the second season of the series about Julia is coming out. But it turns out that it wasn't about Julia that the speech was about. This is a reinforced concrete argument and facts about what a stubborn feminist Larson is. By the way, have you tried translating what you're thinking into printed letters in the comments? @id1081158: You're the one who's got it! And if you haven't noticed, I'm somehow familiar with the original book, which is why it was an idle question... Mind you, it's A QUESTION! And yes - both in the trailer and in the description it was stated that - further quote - Elizabeth is offered to become the host of a cooking show. She agrees... so what's wrong with you? When did you start bullying? Did you remember the scientists? Well, I further added my comment on how far-fetched it all is in order to pull rabid feminism on the globe. Feminism is being distorted by some people now, but this is primarily about equality. What seems ordinary to us now (women can drive cars, vote, work wherever they want, hold important positions, leave home whenever they want, have the right to own real estate, dispose of property) was obtained with the blood and sweat of brave and courageous people (including women and men).
I don't like Brie Larson, but I'm going to watch this show.

@TIC_TAC: Brie Larson IS NOT ABOUT EQUALITY! As she won her Oscar for The Room, she captured the star and promotes superiority and only SUPERIORITY, and everything that is a white cisgender man is, in their understanding, subject to almost destruction (although why a little?). There are also Tessa Thompson and Phoebe Wahler-Bridge . That's the sad reality... alas (((
