Emma Stone talks about the movie "Poor Things" in the project's new trailer
Searchlight Pictures studio has released a new trailer for the movie "Poor Things", in which the performer of the main role Emma Stone talks about the picture and her character Bella Baxter.
In the story, Bella, fleeing from a cruel husband, kills herself. But she is brought back to life by the unorthodox Dr. Godwin, who transplants to the girl the brain of her unborn child. The reborn Bella is eager to learn and explore the world, so she runs away with lawyer Duncan Wedderburn and goes on a trip around the world.
The movie is based on Alasdair Gray's work of the same name. Adapted the novel screenwriter Tony McNamara ("The Favourite"), and put the picture Yorgos Lanthimos ("The Lobster").
The project will be released on December 8. The picture has already been praised by critics: in September, "Poor Things" won the main prize at the 80th Venice Film Festival — Golden Lion.
